Hi,
I'm having problems with the latest LVSW ROM. The Wifi doesn't work on my 8525 anymore.
I got an error message and I only got it once while trying to connect to my Wifi at home and I wish I wrote it down. It complained of a DHCP error, something related to Pocket PC.
That's something I noticed as well when I Active Sync to my PC. It recognized it as a Pocket PC device.
Has anyone encountered this error? I've soft reset and hard reset my unit and it just won't connect via Wifi. It would try to Connect, then comes with a
Cannot connect to the network. Check your network and service provider settings and try again.
I hope someone can help.
Now I'm getting a
Cannot obtain a server assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings.
Thank you very much in advance.

First of all, I have a Cingular 8525 with the newest WM6. I get this error when I try to use my WiFi connection in IE. It lets me connect the network and even assigns me and IP address and everything, but whenever I try to load a page i get the 0x80072f78 error message. It happens on every network I have tried, even a completely unsecured network the other day. Is my wireless card in the phone broken?
try loading a different page after you get that error. if all else fails flash a new rom or hard reset and see if that works
Openvpn settings connect to Openvpn Server but I cannot access anything in the connected LAN.
Have tried severals of images and severals of configuration but nothings help.
Now I use NeoPhyTe_Mod_1.7.1_Sense-FroYo_FRF91 same **** here
I suspect the tap device not do get up and receive IP.
Hope anyone have some ideas, have tried to get this to work since June mount.

You need to either:
su
ip ru del table wifi
or
ip ru del table gprs
Depending in how you are connected
After I rooted, my phone won't connect to WiFi anymore.
I started with the Cyanogen Mod (6.0.2). When I try to connect to a WiFi network, it tries to connect and gets to the "obtaining ip address" message, and finally fails to connect.
I figured I should try a different mod and completely wipe the card. So, I did this via Rom Manager. I had it backup and wipe, then install Skyraider w/ Sense. The same problem persists.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can troubleshoot this problem? Thanks!
Dumb question, but you did re-select the WiFi network you want to connect to, and re-entered the password for that network (if one is required)?

Yeah I have. I've tested this with multiple WiFi networks on each mod. It always gets to the point of "obtaining ip address" which to my understanding means the password has worked. Either way, I'll always long press to forget the password, and re-connect. Even disabling the password on the router still causes the same issue.
Hi all,
we've just installed a radius server at work which works with a certificate on the client side, I'm trying so hard to get my galaxy to connect to the network but I'm having no luck.
I've tried installing the certificate but I'm not 100% sure its installed.
The security for this network displays on my phone as WEP so when I try connect it asks for a password
On my computer I don't get prompted with any password it just automatically connects.
Anyone experienced the same issue and managed to fix this?
Hey XDA!
just a quick question. Has anybody been able to connect to a wifi network after changing your MAC address? I've tried it on Oxygen, Hydrogen, CM13 and it's always the same, as soon as I change the MAC if I try to connect to a network it will stay at "obtaining ip address" and never connect unless I change back to my original MAC. Any help or input would be appreciated, thanks.
