I thought that the unbranded HTC ROM update was going to be release before the Mobile Operators...
I can´t wait to test this ROM!

I wasnt to put the HTC official update on my T-Mobile branded device, is this possible by just double clicking the exe and following instructions?
If I do this can I later load the T-Mobile update on if I have problems?

i dont think it will work. if you want to keep it official, wait for the t-mobile update....due very soon so i hear!

Thanks. I'll wait for the official T-Mobile ROM I suppose and if I'm still not happy (likely thing) I'll have to look into getting the official one on there.
If a mod could move this it would be good
Hi there
I just recently signed a contract with orange for the Desire.
Last Night I got rid of there crappy firmware and installed the stock Bravo firmware.
My question is, if an over the air update is released for froyo 2.2 what will happen? Will my phone download the Orange firmware 2.2, Bravo 2.2?
Or will it not work now and i will have to manually update using a downloaded firmware.

Well yeah of course it is. I dont want to download the update over the air if its going to be Orange firmware. But if it uses HTC Generic Firmware then I will download over the air.
What happened to the help in this forum?
if you flashed a generic non branded rom ill guess you get a generic non branded froyo

Even if everyone already have a gingerbread rom (custom or official), seems htc just released a new OTA with froyo 2.2.2

not so strange..they probably released some security fix to the latest rom on the desire..the gb release was just for the developers, is not the last official release, so we will not see any update on it
about the ruu the htc service centers should have it...any customer service guy wanna upload it?

I can't believe people still believe in that developer-not-official bull****. It was marked as a "developer version" only because it's available only as a RUU. And everything that was released by HTC is official.

i agree the gb ruu is official..but they released gb only to say "we released the gb update as u wished"..no more updates on that will come..is like a discontinued version...infact now they are releasing an ota that is going to patch the last official rom for the desire: froyo
Which will be most probably the last version as well.

i still didnt get the option to install jellybean 4.1.1 (i got 4.0.1)
my provider is orange IL, the weird thing is that my girlfriend have the same phone (from other company though) that installed the the latest update past week.
why i dont get the update? or when the update will be released for IL?

Different carriers release the update in different times, you might get it tomorrow......maybe until mid January, nobody can give the real answer !

Why is it useless? You can try a factory reset if something is wrong with it. I doubt the update will magically fix the problem.
Can you safely install the UK firmware on AT&T SGH-I747 and it run OK. Or should I just wait until they release the version for this phone in the U.S.

DO NOT flash anything from the international versions! We will have to wait for Samsung/AT&T to bring 4.1.2 over and then we will get the Premium Suite, possibly at the same time.

No we did not get 4.1.2 above at same time. It is already out in UK and other countries. Seems U.S. and AT&T are the last to get Upgrades. But Thanks
