I purchased a Jabra BT8010 to use with my Cingular 8525/Hermes 100.
Anyways I wanted exceptional sound and a better form factor than the large Moto HT820.
I wasn't disappointed.
I love them. Now to be honest the headset only works with WM6 on the Hermes. Apparently the Bluetooth Stack for the Hermes WM5 sucks wind.
The BT8010 connects flawlessly no need to fight like with the Moto HT820.
The sound is EXCELLENT!
They aren't heavy and since they don't have the donut sized ear pads it is comortable to wear.
Customer service is the best. I lost an ear hook/ear loop I emailed and then called them on Monday and I had thee replacement ear hooks/ear loops by Thursday.
If you haven't tried them and you need a BT stereo headset please give them a try. I love it!
Does the Jabra have a mini usb charging connection or are they still using that proprietary charger connection BS?
Has anyone tried tried the new Motorola S9 BT stereo sports headset? It looks awesome.

They still use the proprietary one. I don't care though cuz the sound is AMAZING. I've had tons of moto headsets (including A2DP) but they always fail to deliver. The HT820 was way to big and uncomfortable to wear.
the motorola S9 is great. ive had jabra stuff and never been impressed. they are lightweight sounds great you can run with them on they don't fall off. I haven't tried the new jabra yet but from their website it seems like they fit like a regular mono headset and that just wouldn't work in the gym. I believe for what i do the S9s are better.
Donsaxena:
Thanks. I think I'll give the S9 a try.
Jabra BT8010 w/MS Voice Command
on my old Jabra BT800 I was able to press a button to initiate the MS Voice Command. Now that I've upgraded to the BT8010 I cant figure out how to do it. Any suggestions?
Jabra
I had the Moto headset for all of about 2 days before I returned it for the Jabra. The Moto was uncomfortable to me and not very flexable. The Jabra is much better and when you don't want the second earpiece you can just unplug it and put in the case.

you can still do that but first you have to push the button close to the mic pic up then the main button on the jog dial.
I'm kinda disappointed buying this because this headset wouldn't work perfectly on my Dopod 818Pro (Prophet).
The headset is excellent when talking to another party on the phone. The sound is loud and clear but when it comes to listening a music. It would distort and crackles after about 20 - 30 seconds and the sound would disappear. It's like it's losing its BT connection or something.
To solve this issue, I have to turn off the BT8010 and turn it on again and the sound would go for another 20 - 30 seconds
I have tried with WMP, Mortplayer, TCPMP and they are all the same. Mortplayer would last longer but still distorts and disappears.
I have done all the registry fix for A2DP for Prophet and none helps. I'm pretty happy with the headset but not for the use of listening to music.
So I keep the other half of the headset in my drawer.
Git it today from Fry's local store for $99, price is good until 6/26
Pros:
1 very good sound quality and volume (compared to Moto HT820) for calls and music play
2 Size and design
3 LCD display
Cons:
1 No rewind function for music
2 doesn't fit my ear very well, kinda loose and unconfortable

For those who have BT8010. Don't use Jazz Equalizer because you'll find that you'll have the same problem I had.
I think this is a bug, can anyone else confirm?
I have no problem when using Normal / Rock but Jazz will create a distortion after 29 seconds (using WMP).
MAN this sucks, i got a jabra bt320s and it doesnt even present itself as an a2dp device to my hermes.....anybody know of anything similar??

Had it two days - Sony DR-BT10CX Bluetooth stereo/handsfree - great for running and excellent sound quality for both calls and music.
Cheap too!
http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/Sony/DR-BT10CX/Bluetooth/Stereo/Headphones
That looks great.
Unfortunately I have already a great headset... with 3.5mm connector.
Is there any MiniUSB-to-3.5mm-adapter?
Thanks

Yes, but this is without microphone. Just for listening music.

Use this adaptor to convert the HTC Touch extUSB socket to support any 3.5mm stereo headphones. The adaptor also has a hangup/answer button for normal voice calls through a stereo headset.
So I think it has a button

Man, those things look/sound badass...I might have to pick one of those up - I don't really have a quiet car, and I LOVE driving with the windows down! Hefty price tag on eBay though - pay to play though, right?
If you are looking at the DR-BT10CX, I suggest you get the DR-BT20NX instead because it got a remote for music - same earbuds and receiver essentially.

The HTC headset works fine for calling and music. For use in the car I have a jabra BT5020 and quality is good, auto-pair ofcourse.
I'm thinking of DIY-ing the usb to 3.5mm audio jack, does anyone have any idea how the usb connectors corresponed to the audio outputs? thanks!
Been shopping around now, since I saw that Jawbone...but I'm wondering...
Is there a Stereo Bluetooth headset with noise-canceling technology out there that anyone knows of???
I've been searching, but to no avail.
Motorola S9 for Stereo and Plantronics 665 for phone
If I am not listening to music I use the Plantronics 665. If I want to listen to music and take calls I use the Motorola S9 stereo BT headphones. The S9 is amazing for quality and fit. Don't let the strange (to some people) design fool you. These are high quality headphones. I have compared these to the Motorola 805s (DJ style) and HT820 (behind the head) and expected the S9 not to sound as good - not true. All 3 Motorola headsets sound great, but for the size the S9 sounds overall just as good if not better. I didn't like the sound of the Jabra BT headphones and the Plantronics over the head (590A) headset sounded good, but not as good as the S9.
By the way I tested a Jawbone and was not impressed at all. Didn't like the fit, sound was only OK and if you need the noise cancellation you have to press a button on the unit for 3 seconds to turn it on - each time. Certainly this is good technology, but for me the Plantronics 665 fits better and over all sounds much better.
I am using a Jabra BT620s for music and calls. Sound quality is very good. Nice fit, good battery performance and fits nicely on my head It has blue leds on both sides that blink when in use, its a bit weird at first but once you get past the oooohs and aaaahs from everyone its great
Has controls aswell (next, previous, volume up/down, accept call/hang up, play/pause) The accept/hangup key has the extra function when not in a call, it activates the voice command program so you can talk commands to your phone
has anyone tried SE HBH-DS970 with this ? comments ?

I have a Nokia CK-7W buildin carkit in my car (company carkit) which also had bluetooth. Unfortunatly this bluetooth connection gives alot of problems when calling.
I can hear people fine but they hear constant break-ups in the connection. I tried it with a Sony bluetooth headset and everything worked fine.
So dont use the touch combined with a Nokia CK-7W
I'm using the Sony BT20NX and theyre absolutely the best. High quality stereo audio with AVRCP (?) remote profile which works with Windows Media Player, Audio Manager, and TCPMP. The headset is comfortable to wear, blocks outside sound so you can enjoy music at a low volume. The sound is clear and the connection is solid. The buttons are easy to use and I use it for MS Voice Command too, which is awesome. Perfect headset, if you can still find them (I heard theyre discontinued).
What stereo blue tooth HEADSET do you recommend for Wizard? I am interested into a head set not very expensive ...but I want also to be able to listen music or to speak at the phone with it.

well I am answering my own post, ,
the working features are,
1. smooth A2DP (skipping in case of high proc. usage e.g. wifi brosin and stereo bt music simultanous)
2. after a call music resumes and in the earphone.
3. AVRCP
4. Caller ID ! u can see both the name & the number on the lcd ( with jetware ).
regards
I'll have the Jabra BT620s in the mail today... I'll post a review asap.
Jabra BT headphone
As promised;
I got the Jabra headset yesterday, and last night I was able to try it. First of all, sound quality is better than expected. Setup was somewhat confusing, since the manual is not so clear. But, I managed. Made a couple of phonecalls, all fine. Overall, nice set of headphones. Luckily, the flashing blue leds can be turned off.
Hi
I use the Anycom BSH-100. The Headset is not bad at all, with HS/HF/A2DP/ AVRRCP and a up to 200 h standby + upto 12 h music playtime.
Tech data here: http://www.anycom.com/products/bluetooth_audio_video/stereo_headset_bsh_100/?id=102&partno=CC3300
There is no buildin Microphone. A small (about 3 cm) mic is attacht to the side mini usb-jack. This mini usb-jack is also used to charge the batteries. Most of the time i forgett the mic, when charging the Headset, so i use the Headset often to listen to mp3s and recive calls without using the headset. ( a bild in Mic would be better) The headset goes to mute when a call comes in.
picture here: http://files.anycom.com/images/products/lifestyle/cc3300_lifestyle_01.jpg
+ (plus):
Handling is very easy.
Long Standby & playtime
small transport size (faltable)
- (minus):
seperate Mic
Sound Quality is OK but not as good as a normal wired-headset. (maybe normal for BT)
no option to turn of the flashing blue led
best regards Oliver
Hi, Anyone using Jabra Bt320 with the Touch? I tired to connect for stereo headset but its fails. I had the same problem with Dopod 810 but some after making some changes in the registry the problem was solved. I tired the same tweaks in Touch but it fails. Any suggestion from the forum? Thanks
I used the BT320
and the stereo was fine. I also made the adjustments to the registry and it carried on working fine.
However, I sent the unit back because I bought a Jabra 120s with it and found that, after initial pairing problems (which went away), there was an audio lag which made watching TV rubbish!
When you pair with the BT320s, you should have the option to use it as either
1. a hands-free or
2. wireless stereo.
If you don't, delete the device from your Touch then...
...plug the BT320s into it's charger, three times, for 4 seconds each time.
Now pair again and the option for wireless stereo will magically appear.
Try Motorola S9. Nice and solid. Matches Touch design too.

You get what you pay for comes to mind with BT headsets.
I have yet to come across one headset that plays great stereo sound
and gives you great call quality. However, for stereo sound the Motorola
S9 kicks arse over anything out there and the Jawbone does the voice
calls better than anyone out there. S9 is around $100US and the Jawbone
is $130US ish. Not cheap but you won't be looking to replace them because
they don't do their job. Now if you have a big melon the S9 maybe a problem.
AE!
Hi.
I got the HT820 from Mototola.
Sound is good.
Easy installation on Touch.
Noise cancelling.
Looks a little bit spacy but fits good.
AND I payed 12€ for it on ebay.de.
I use BT320s
Hi,
I am using Jabra BT320s, It just works fine with my Touch. I did the in pairing initially, but after I upgraded with latest firmware I don't have any problem in pairing.
firmware can be found here

Please read the instruction to update the firmware
Well i got the Motorola BT820 last week, very satisfied
great sound nice volume, little weakness but accepteble by my standard
when theres a lot of static noise the build in mic does piick up on that a bit.
i use it for mp3 mostly, and o yeah its comfortoble too
price is nice if i compare to other headsets,
still thinking about trying the new logitech headset
is there anybody who has experienced it
I have posted a question regarding a small problem with the Bb20s right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326489
This is a description of my problem, as posted. Does anyone have an idea?
---
Received my Jabra 620s yesterday. First impressions: it is quite big and heavy, but it is better than earplugs ;-) Sounds quality is quite good.
Here is my problem: After pairing the headset with my device, everything behaves as expected until some event (this happend on multiple occasions, different trigger but the same result): the headset controls still function (i.e. I can skip songs etc), but the HTCs audio is routed to the HTC speaker instead of the headset. I cannot fix this, the only way is to remove the bluetooth connection, repair and I am good to go again.
I'd second the comment on the Motorola S9. I got the S9 to go with my old magician, but now that I've upgraded to the Touch, things are even better.
The S9 workd flawlessly for stereo music and also as a regular hands free headset. I can't tell you how many times I've been out jogging, litening to music and I get a cal from people. They say the call sound quality is good, but always wonder why I'm breaking fast.
I hve changed to HTC BH S100 (in-ear is better for jogging)
sound quality is good, no problems...yeah should be no problems when using HTC stuff only ;-)
i found the Motorola S9s to be outstanding. I have never been so happy with a BT headet.
Sony DR-BT30 Q
Got it for 34 euro's and they make me happy.
Good reach on the touch compared to my wizard
I just bought the Blue Ant Blutooth head set for my Wing and It sounded like CRAP untill I did some registry hacks to clean up the sound .Thanks to Hardcore & Sleuth255.
The headset themselves are comfortable but still not nearly as loud and clear as the stockers. They reach far and when a call comes in I
can hear the other caller in stereo..nice
One major problem is when you turn off the headset or phone u have to re pair them EVERY time..that sucks
on a 1 to 5 I give them a 3 for $80.00 they could be better.
Why do you have to re-pair them? I use them with my Tilt and don't have to. Must be something with the stack. The hands-free reconnects automatically when I turn them on but for A2DP I have to used A2DP toggle. I bought them from eCost for $24 because they didn't have the retail packaging.
what is the model of the bliant
blueant sorry
ok I couldnt take it anymore so I returned the blueant and got the mot0rola s9, these are HOT !!!!
Smaller, lighter & they connect instantly, and the sound is a 1000 times better for the same price ,the only difference was when I recieved a call with the Blue Ant it was in stereo and with the s9 its in mono.
I have the wing phone.
I hear the skips with both headsets, and Is it me or does anybody else hear the music speed up after the skip??wtf?

you could always google search "SE MW600 review" and see what people say. And if you want end users try punching in "amazon SE MW600 review" and see what they are saying.
Personally i use an older Motorola ear bud that serves the purpose.

I Work At best buy and I'm using the Plantronics 975 its a great device very comfortable with great noise cancellation
plantronics 855 is a great headset. a2dp stereo bluetooth and a removable earpiece.
I've been using mine with a Jawbone Icon (Rogue) and I haven't had any issues. It's light, stylish and very functional.
I don't know if these are the "best" but I have the Motorola behind the neck ROKRs, and like them.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875982253
imho
Plantronics Voyager Pro +
Willing to bet you one dollar paypal that it's the best bluetooth you've ever owned.
Reasons:
Gel air filled custom ear fittings *these actually screw on too , very impressive
long mic boom (so people can actually hear you)
not one person to date has said I sound like sh*t (FINALLY)
a2dp support
status updates by pressing power button (announces battery time remaining)
press and hold outer button, it calls a toll free number that you can configure on a website to hookup with your e-mail, it reads rss feeds, news.
I also work for t-mobile and I've used bluetooth headsets ranging from 29.99 to 199.99, some of them I thought were amazing (motorola backbeats) but the problem always came down to whoever I was talking on the phone saying
"dude are you on bluetoooth?"
me: yes
"you sound like sh*t"
me: YARGGGGG HOW MUCH MONEY DO I HAVE TO SPEND TO SOUND DECENT
Many beg to differ, but I've owned the same pair of rocketfish headsets for almost two years now...very good to me with many sweaty head days at the gym.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I know this is a late reply but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents on the topic.
I was looking for something to listen to music while at work (desk job), working out, etc.
I ended up buying the Motorola S305 from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BH3I9U)
I have had these now since February and I am extremely happy with them.
PROS
Comfortable to wear
Decent sound quality
Easy to use controls
Phone headset is has good call quality. Others can hear me as if i'm on the handset
Micro USB charger, same as phone
low cost
CONS
Foam earpieces soak up sweat
no noise cancellation
Overall, for $35.00, you can't go wrong!
Plantronics seems to be the winner. I have both 925 and 975. Both are optimal and work fantastically.
Now my 925 is paired with my HD2, and the 975 with MT4G.
Are any of these recommended for both phone calls and for working out (sweat resistant)? I'm just mainly looking for headphones for working out minus the dang cord. Also if I get a phone call when I'm working out or shooting basketball, I wanna be able to answer without stopping.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
bump... anyone have an opinion? Just waitin to buy one for some input from people who I actually trust lol
I've owned the Plantronics BackBeat 906 for almost a year and have had mixed results with both a G1 and a MT4G.
It can be so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing it. But sometimes the earbuds are loose, mostly when worn under bicycle helmet straps. Because it's loose, I can't hear music very well.
Audio sounds great. Convenient controls. Haven't figured out how to skip a song on Pandora or a podcast on Listen though. Clicking play sometimes starts a saved voicemail rather than Google Listen or Pandora. I'm not sure how to define the "default" media app in Android.
Paring is hit-or-miss. Often it pairs with just the phone audio and not the media audio. This happened more on the T-Mobile ROM than it does on Cyanogenmod 7, but still happens. The solution is a cumbersome opening of the BT settings, long-press the device, un-check and then re-check Media Audio.
Reception is good if the phone is within 20-30 feet (the advertised range.) Reception is horrible if the phone is in a pocket. I have a backpack with a very high pocket and that usually works, unless I turn my head to the left. It is VERY annoying.
Here's what I sent to Panasonic:
I own a G1 Android-powered phone and about 50% of the time when I turn on my BackBeat 906 it syncs with the phone audio, but not the media. Is there some trick to get it to sync with both?
Also, the reception is so poor that when the phone is in my pocket the audio drops out completely. I am tall, but much less than 30' tall.

Their response:
Please try a reset...press and hold the power button on the headphones....and while you are doing that, please connect the charger to the Backbeats until you see a blue or red solid light and then release the button.....let it charge for an extra 30 seconds and then try to use them
Also, delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices. Once deleted, make sure to power your phone completely off. Then power it back on. (This will reset the Bluetooth stack in the BT software on the phone). Then re-pair the headset with your phone.
If this does not fix your issue, my suggestion is to try pairing the headset to another cell phone, if possible. If the issue continues with the second phone, you will need to replace the headset. If your headset connects properly to the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone rather than the headset.

...did not help. I still struggle with piss-poor reception when the phone is in a pocket.
well what frickin good is a bluetooth headphone set if you can't have the phone in your pocket lol
Yes Rosebud1, it is extremely frustrating! It's fine sitting on a desk, but for cycling, running, or walking I would not recommend this headset.
Thanks for the reply. What horrible customer service too!!
Yeah, it was a pretty useless response. I suspect it's just a horrid design flaw that they know they can't fix, so sending the customer on a wild goose-chase delays the inevitable.
U should check out the jabra clipper. I use it when I work out n its awesome

so basically... it seems like no one has found a really good set for a decent price
Under a motorcycle helmet
I am looking for a bluetooth headset that will fix and work well under my motorcycle helmet. Any recommendations?
So I have a pair of Anker earbuds (which I can use to make calls) which connect first time, every time and work flawlessly. I use them out and about & when travelling to listen to podcasts etc on the phone.
But around the house, I prefer a simple mono bluetooth headset I can quickly pop in my ear and still have one ear free (and not have to mess around with wires between the buds). I had a Jabra Mini, which I just returned. Most times when I switched on the headset, it just wouldn't connect. If it did connect, sometimes the mic just wasn't working and the other party couldn't hear anything and would hang up. And if it did connect and they could hear me, often as not there would be massive interference, bad enough that the call needed to be ended and I'd have to switch off the headset and use the phone speaker and call again.
So I returned it and got a Jabra Stealth yesterday. It paired straight off and a call to a friend was marked as "flawless". Then today, I turned on the headset and it simply wouldn't connect. I reset the headset - then it wouldn't pair. Restarted headset and phone, and managed to pair them. Made a call and all was well. Except this is exactly how things started with the Mini...
So has anyone else had success with Jabra? (I stuck with Jabra as they're so well regarded in the UK). And can anyone recommend a decent headset that they have found works with the Pixel 2? My price range is around £40 ($60 or so) and I'm in the UK. (I wish Anker did a mono headset.. )
Thanks in advance!
