I have bluetooth stereo headphones that I use with my Dash. My problem is that everytime I turn off the headphones and turn them back on, they forget they are paired with the Dash, and I have to repair them. is there something I can do to fix this? Does it have anything to do with the 0000 I always enter?
As soon as something is turned off, it's unpaired. There's no connection if it's off. Just like a bluetooth headset.

But I can turn off my phone and my bluetooth headset; turn them back on; and they remain paired.

I don't know about the internals of them but I would think that the firmware on the headphones hasn't reset cause you turned them off and then back on.

curious if its just mine. if my phones been sitting a while and off. if i open my moto h700 my bluetooth headset doesnt connect. but if i wake the phone first then the bluetooth will connect.
never had this problem with my tp
I have a similar problem. When I receive a call over bluetooth, the phone wakes up and then when the screen shuts off, it drops the bluetooth connection but the call is still active. When I am connected to bluetooth PAN for tethering, the same thing, when the screen goes to sleep, the Internet Connection drops.
My car has bluetooth built in and it works fine. It also has a USB socket, which shares the AUX button on my cars headset with the BT audio.
However, everytime I go to the car ( I leave by BT on all day as I am constantly in and out of the car) it automatically starts playing media files from the phone. When this happens, it disables the USB input , unless I pull out the USB and put it back in again.
I turn off the 'media' tick box in bluetooth settings for the pairing, hit return, yet the next time I get in the car, it turns itself back on.
Is there a way of permanently disabling the 'media' setting in the bluetooth settings for this pairing?
I have this phone also paired to another car, but that one doesn't have the media option in its settings.
Also does anyone know how to get the phone to connect to the headset during a phone call while the ringtone is ringing? This phone sends the sound over to the head unit as soon as the call is answered, meaning that I never know if it is ringing or not, or connected. It would be nice to hear the ringtone ringing over the speakers and before it is picked up.
A friend of mine has the same problem with his bluetooth carkit. But not only when he start his car. I'm curious for a solution.
It's your radio .. incorrect support and usage of bluetooth specifications
I dont think it is the radio, because I can turn off 'media'in the bluetooth settings/bluetooth devices/options, and leave 'phone'on.
The next time I get back into the car, media turns itself back on automatically and starts playing tracks from the phone through the radio.
The bluetooth pairing on the phone that exists for the other car I have does not have a media setting.
Is there an advanced bluetooth settings app that can permantly leave the 'media' button unchecked?

it is a similar problem to this:

Mine has not done this with my Jawbone Icon, Motorola S10-HD stereo headphones or my Volkswagen Tiguan. Perhaps you might try another bluetooth device?
buletooth issue?
I had try different device and do the same thing, like my audi q7 and jarba headset and the garmin. Can you tell me what buletooth setting you are using?
Mine has intermittent issues as well, I'm using an older Motorola 710 BT earpiece. I'll only turn on BT on the phone when I know I'm going to use the earpiece, such as when driving or needing to be hands-free. I only activate the earpiece after enabling BT on the phone, but there are times when the earpiece does not connect.... the only fix is to reboot the phone. Is that similar to the issue you are having?
I'm having issues connecting to my car. If I reboot the phone and connect it will work. But once it's disconnected and I turn bluetooth off and then back on from the phone, it will not connect. Only way to fix it is to reboot. Don't know how to fix the issue. Never had a problem connecting my Sensation to my car's bluetooth.
My issue is similar in turning bluetooth on and off via the power widget and not being able to re-connect to my bluetooth earpiece after a few cycles. I'm wondering if it may be an issue with it being BT 2.0 versus BT 3.0 on the phone?
I thought it was my car but a lot ppl is having this issue too.
Sometimes it wont connect but it says connected so i have to go to BT settings and click where it says connected n overwrite the connection for it to work if not gotta restart the phone. :/
Tmo Galaxy S2
I'm having problems with a SoundFly FM Transmitter in my car.
At first it took forever to pair. And even when paired & connected it's really glitchy.
I'm using this mainly for GPS turn by turn over the car sound system. But because it is glitchy I can't use it because some of the directions get cut off.
I had a MyTouch 4G before. No problems whatsoever. I don't if it's a hardware or driver or BT device issue.
I'm willing to get a new FM Transmitter but not if it does the same thing.
It didn't work well on stock or rooted w/ Juggernaut rom
this is quite annoying. I wonder why this topic died so quickly, there have to be more people with this problem? Maybe has something to do with a bluetooth power saving sleep feature? Streaming music, pause music for a few minutes, incoming call gets connected but I get no sound through headset.
I'm on wicked jb 2.1 stock CPU clock. My last phone would auto connect Bluetooth to my car stereo. When I got the S3 I realized now I have to go into Bluetooth settings and connect manually every time. After the initial connection it will reconnect, until I turn off Bluetooth then next time I have to manually connect. The pairing it's saved but I need to click to connect where before with every other phone it disconnects as long as it's paired and Bluetooth is on.
no one else is having this problem?

You mentioned this thread in my thread but I thought I would just reply here.
My problem is different then yours. On my phone, when it doesn't connect I can get it working again by just cycling BT off then on again. For some reason this only happens with the music mode, it connects for phone just fine.

yea mine works 100% It just wont autoconnect unless its already been connected manually by me. For example in the morning get in the truck turn on bluetooth and nothing, click settings>bluetooth>tap my stereo and bam works like a charm...stop at convenience store real quick, get back in, bluetooth autoconnects (it wasn't turned off for the short stop) get to work turn off bluetooth, next time I get it I have to reconnect manually....
I'm used to it always connecting as long as BT is on.
Curious if anyone would have any insight...
I hadn't used bluetooth too much, but I occasionally used it with my Pioneer car stereo. I know that CM10.1 had some issues with bluetooth, so I figured that was the reason it worked intermittently. I purchased a different car stereo, and couldn't get my Epic to pair with it. Basically it would see the car stereo, start to pair, let me enter the passkey, then bluetooth would turn off, then back on and it will keep doing this. So...I wiped everything and installed CM11, which I thought (and heard) would have much better bluetooth. But I'm having the same exact problem. At first it was saying that my passkey was wrong as it would turn off, or I might get a bluetooth process force closing, but it always ends up turning bluetooth off, then back on again as it tries to pair. I also tried pairing it with a bluetooth HMDX speaker, and the same exact thing happens. Just wondering if anyone might have a few tips on what to check out instead of going back to stock.

I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 and a Samsung S3 and I'm having the same issue.
The odds part is that I have no problem connecting and staying connected to my pebble smart watch.
