Hi there, how do you remove the outlook account from WM? I dont use it as I use pop3 instead. Any Ideas?
As I know, you cant remove it. Outlook account is used for active sync from your PC.

I currently have a Pocket Outlook profile setup to use our inhouse Zimbra server for synchronisation of emails/contacts/etc.
I also now have access to a xe2hosting.net account which I wish to also add to Pocket Outlook.
However everytime I try to create a new Microsoft Outlook profile in Pocket Messaging I cannot add the new details for the xe2hosting account - you cannot delete the zimbra details.
I also cannot delete the Microsoft Outlook profile thats already in place.
Can Pocket Outlook handle multiple Outlook profiles? or is this a bug?
Hello, the company I work for has disable ActiveSync and therefore I cannot sync my email/contact/calendar, etc. from the Exchange Server.
As such I have a work-around for email/calendar, but need my contacts from MS Outlook on my Hermes. Is there a way to manually import my contacts onto the WM6 phone?
I am open to other work-arounds....thanks in advance.

The simplest workaround is copy the contacts folder from the Exchange Server to a local .PST and then sync trought Outlook 2003 in your local PC. This is two phase sync, but this is the only you can do if ActiveSync is disable in your Exchange Server.
Be carefull when ActiveSync come back with the dup contacts..

I have a trinity with wm6 running.
I do not like Outlook at all. I run Thunderbird for my email.
Does anyone know of a way to sync the contacts on my phone with those on my pc, ether with the Windows Vista built-in contacts or with Thunderbird directly.
Or even a third party program that could run when my Trinity is in the cradle.

SyncExpress can be an answer but it's not free :-(
Thanks, if the program is worth it I will pay. But syncExpress syncronises between outlook express and PPC, windows vista doesnt come with outlook express, but I use mozilla thunderbird anyway.
Check out http://oggsync.com/ It will sync with google calendar and I'm sure you can get google calendar to sync with thunderbird.

imho you dont need the outlook app. just add you outlook account in your phone settings and you are able to synch mails and contacts!

i agree. the outlook app is same as the old hotmail app which is to say very lousy and fairly ugly compared to standard android mail app
I would not recommend using the outlook app because it causes hours of wakelocks a day. Oddly enough the Hotmail one doesn't. Neither are really necessary.
How to use contacts from Outlook account? I want to change my main account from gmail to outlook but I cannot found this option. Is there anyone that could explain it please on dumbie mode (my level of IT knowledge). Thanks a lot in advance.
Afaik you can only sync mail from outlook, in gmail... Didn't try with outlook app, maybe you can sync with that...
Note that actually we cannot create new hotmail accounts. Istead of that we create outlook accounts.
