Hi guys,
Need Help...all of a sudden my hermes is unable to Send/Receive text messages...any idea?
I have suddenly got the exact same problem. Using OS Rom 6.1 cooked in Pandora, I've re-done it, re-flashed nothing seems to be fixing this problem. Texts just sit in my Outbox.
Daft as it may seem but is the phone in flight mode and you haven't spotted it?
You checked with your respective operators to see if there are any network problems (o2 in the UK had a similar problem only 2 weeks ago, confirmed first hand by me)

I've got the same problem - but this was after I flashed with Schaps latest ROM (4.0 RC). The problem is completely intermittent. I'll try to send a message and will get the error message "text could not be sent" and the message sits in my outbox
I called T-Mobile and they said that since I am able to send messages when I take the SIM card out and into another, then it must be a problem with the phone (and there's nothing that they can do since the 8525 is not one of their phones).
I've done a hard reset and still get the same problem...
I am half a nose-hair away from flashing back to the vanilla HTC ROM.
Hi. I upgraded my TyTN (Vodafone flavor) to WM6 a time ago without any problems. Since last friday, for no reason, it just won`t launch the keypad, won`t show my contacts, can`t use the calendar, task, etc. It´s really strange cause it shows that i have no signal but i can send and receive text messages but can`t make any phonecalls (i tried calling a contact of a received text message since it won`t launch the keypad but i didn`t do anything). Did anybody had a problem like this? what can it be? do you think that a hard reset may solve it?
Thanks in advance.
You might want to flash a new rom then. I had this problem last year when i did flash a new rom for a few weeks. It seems like the rom degraded. Try a new rom and see what happens.
My Problem is, that I recieve only some of my SMS/text that was sent to my. So I heard from friends that they sent me a text message, but I didn't get it. There is no pattern on this problem. I have a conversation with 4 sms sent to me, but i only recieve 1,2,4. Message Nr. 3 is missing. Sometimes its also the first message thats lost.
All my friend got the status for sms/text activated and they get the status "delivered" for the lost messages.
Someone else that problem?
I only have seen the problem about sending, but none with getting.
yeah the same happened to me recently, but only with my GF number (same operator), not other contacts (AFAIK: since no one complained, no sms got missed!). still no diagnosis, and no solution obviously. hope that won't lead to a hard reset, which is a major pain
I had an issue that my sim card was full - it seemed the phone was trying to save sms to the sim. I deleted a few and now all seems okay. However they can't be going to the sim any more as I have received more than I deleted.
This happened after I had been using a spare phone as I went camping and needed a phone that had a few days battery life instead of the day or so that my touch pro 2 has
thanks for your help smudge.
it's not my case since my sim card is blank, no sms or contacts in it.
however, yesterday evening I hard resetted the phone, now I'm waiting to test if the problem is still here. If it is, it must be the operator's fault, or something related to my GF device / SIM. I'll let you know if I discover something new...
I have similar problem - I'm supposed to receive SMS, but I don't. I didnt have this problem (I didnt notice it) before I installed latest version of S2U2, maybe there's some problem with it? I have S2U2 set to show incoming SMS/MMS messages...
Also I have enabled hack mentioned in this forum which powers on mobile on receiving message (so it is displayed on the screen, not only notified by blinking LED and sound as is default setting). Maybe there is some incompatibility with S2U2, Im trying to pipoint this.

uhm...missing sms should be the operator's problem,
i've been having such issue not only with TP2.....not all the time but usually consecutive sms with only one person usually caused it
i have the same problem, tried hard resets rom flash but no success!
i am from austria!..
please somone fix that thing
after HR yesterday evening no more missed sms until now, no one I had notice of. but that doesn't make me feel safe, it needs to be checked further.
surely gunggu is true!
sorry, probably ot, but i have the opposite problem.
I have too much sms in the incoming folder: I can see my sent sms. That means an sms like (me: hi bla bla..)
the received notification is disabled. any hint?
so after some tests, I figured out my problem.
It was the programm proxy cab, that I used. If it is installed, I got only every second sms, after it is deinstalled I got every sms...
Strange problem.
Hey there people all much smarter than me. I just bout a HTC touch pro 2 (i know 2009 called and wants their phone back) anyway i am having this problem of some sms messages not getting through. i have not been able to see a pattern due to not finding out about missing messages till sometimes weeks after i missed getting them
if anyone found a solution thats not alreay mentioned in this thread (cant find an option to save stuff to the sim)(cant find mention anywhere of "program proxy cab"
any help would be great otherwise i will have to go back to using my HTC tytn 2
is there an application that would automatically send an unsent sms ? ...in case I have no signal in the underground (Tube)
I have a need for a similar app or mod. It's annoying to keep waiting for signal and then press the "Message not sent. Try again?"-link (in threaded view) when I finally get a signal. If I recall correctly, the stock ROM on Xperia tried again every five minutes or so on its own if no signal was available. Would that be possible to emulate on WM 6.x?
Me too!! Can someone work on this?
I'm not 100% sure, but it seems that if I soft reset my phone and it has signal, it tries to resend any messages that failed earlier. Has anyone else noticed similar behaviour? It's interesting and I think it could be used somehow if one were to develop an app or tweak that would retry sending unsent messages.
Hi, I have experienced some strange sms problems with my htc tp2. I heard people talk about an sms bug, but I don't know if this is the same thing...
Aparently, my tp2 sends the same messages over and over to some persons. So if I send a new sms, he just sends the same message every time... The problem appears to be selective. I mean, only some of my friends get the same sms over and over from me, others don't.
The problem seemed to be gone when deleting al sms history of that person, but now, it just started again...
It's really annoying, as I don't know if people get my sms'es or not :s
plz help if you can! I would appreciate it!
grtz
Nobody? Could it be PIM backup that messes up my sms'es?
I noticed that if I delete the sms history of the person before sending a new sms, it works fine...
The strange thing is, it's always the same sms. Every time I sent an sms, without deleting the history, he sends the same message... :s
plz help!
Could it be that the message gets stuck in the outbox and the device is attempting to re-send it?
Im not 100% on this.
But im pretty sure its something to do with the service provider. Ive had this problem on many devices, from many manufacturers, on many service plans.
But like i said, not 100% sure. So dont hold me to it
The strange thing is that it's just some of my contacts who experience the problem...
