it is now the second time, that my P3300 (original from HTC) doesn't make a sound if a alarmpoint is set. I use Agenda One as calendar. The PDA notice the alarmpoint because its wake up from the standby, but there is no sound and no hint for the alarmpoint.
Does anyone know this problem?
I have checked everything, i have no idea.
Hello all, I have the same problem...tried running MemMaid to fix duplicate alarms (read this would fix the issue) but no result. Correct boxes checked in Alarms & Notifications, when testing the reminder sound it works....just does not work when the reminder/alarm should. My Orbit does wake from the sleep state at the alarm time just no reminder or alarm...very frustrating
Using PI2007 and Spb Diary on O2 Orbit...perhaps a clash (but was working before!?!?)...any ideas??

I have an o2 Orbit and it's fine (if a little underpowered) except...

I would like to be able to disable reminders/alarms on the PDA, but still have access to my diary.
I use appointments on Outlook on my PC, and alarms are really useful when I'm working at my desk - but not that helpful when I'm not at my desk.
Moreover, I kill the alarm on my desktop and then have to do the same thing on my PDA to get to a screen I can use.
What I'm looking for is someway to suppress the pop up alarm on the Orbit.

This is related to the above.
To avoid calling people from inside my briefcase/pocket,
I set the keyboard lock so that I have to turn the unit on with the on switch to do anything.
Other that when the alarm goes off, which brings the device temporarily to life,
and then the buttons spring into life
allowing the slightest movement to dial the last person who called me or I them.
To say this is annoying is to understate things.
I now routinely call voice mail before I travel with the phone,
so that I can at least control who it's going to call.
I've flashed my P3300 with fuatay's Manila Diamond-Style Rom (Windows Mobile 6.1).
Everything works fine, but the internal alarm clock rings only once, although it should repeat until i stop it.
Can I change the duration of the alarm sound in the registry? Where exactly?
Thank you!
solution?
My TD2 does the same now, did you find a solution?
As far as I know, the problem is Microsoft's.Actually the so called "alarm clock" is mereley a reminder that emits a short sound, totally insufficient to wake up a sleeping person. At least in my experience,I've always had ROMs(original and not) behaving like yours. It's not a bug, but a colossal lack of Windows Mobile. I opened a thread about real alarm clock apps just few days ago because I wanted to upgrade mine, here it is if you're interested in:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3900785
Hi,
Being a recent convert from Windows Mobile, I'm noticing how the alarms and notifications of applications seems separate from each other rather than integrated. Has anybody else noticed this, or is it just me? Also, what is the technical difference between an alarm and a notification? Everything seems to be a notification rather than an alarm.
Is there any suggested techniques/configuration to ensure all of my apps use the same notifications/volumes etc without me having to go to every single app and configure it? Also is there a way to configure how the vibration works system-wide? Every single app seems to have their own settings and its a bit of a pain. I also prefer a "longer" vibration in case I miss something (the phone is usually in my pocket).
Also does anybody have recommendations regarding applications which can repeat or remind me for missed events? I want a repeat reminder that I have an appointment coming up, or have missed an SMS or a call (but haven't noticed it) or have received an e-mail? I just want something like to remind me every 5 minutes by playing the sound and/or vibrating, for about an hour - mainly just in case I haven't noticed it - but I don't want it going on forever in case I don't have the phone with me and it annoys others!
Thanks,
Ian
I've just downloaded Missed Reminder which does all that I think. Although it's not for calendar reminders, which is annoying.
Hopefully that will change in the future since I can't find anything else that does the same job for calendar reminders - or Google will sort it out and add repeaters.
since a few weeks i have the problem, that when i set an alarm and go to bed, the alarm-notification will show up the next morning, but i dont hear any sound. the phone is in airplane- and vibrate-only-mode at night, but the setting that alarmsound should be played even while in silent/vibrate-only is ticked.
When i set the alarm to test it in the near future, it always works as it should (with the same settings (airplane+vibrateonly)).
I'm on cm7.1 final with lordmodue-v8.0 kernel and using the default clock-app with an mp3 put into the media-folder on my sd.
Did anyone experiance similar problems before? I cant remember any significant changes to my phone before this problem first occured.
I did the same thing as you once, the alarm indeed did not ring. Solution: Change the profile form Vibrate/Silent --> Normal. it worked for me
Thx for the respons, but didnt work for me
Additionaly i noticed, that when i charge or have charged absolutly no sound is produced...no alarm, no ring and not even a voicecall (the other person seems to her me, but i can not hear them). Damit
Have you seen an app called "volume control" from the market? There's an option to change alarm volume, it might have somehow been turned down?
The volume level itselfe is definitivly not changed, this shouldnt be the problem...
perhaps you are a deep sleeper like my sis? xD
Haha, i wish it would be that easy. I have a light sleep and have always wake to the alarms befor this problem.
i discovered, that when i change to silent and back to loud after charging sounds work as normal. I"m gona try this with tasker for the alarm, maybe it'll help too.
Still didnt work
switched to black ice 1.23....everything serms to work fine now
Hello,
I set multiple alarms to wake me up in the morning, but I have noticed that occasionally they will not go off. I am using the default stock clock app.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Is there a solution to this?
Thanks.
