Hi guys,can you help me please!!!
I bought t-mobile compact III(lock) is just 4-days old with rom version netherlands.
I try to upgrade it to english rom version with software from PDAMobiz.com.
The installation went smootly without errow(for 15 minutes),but after the hard and soft reset,my T-mobile compact III refuse to boot up to window mobile.
I think I spoil it?
I do not know what to do now.

I have had the same problem. These is just one solution. Send it back to T-mobile. There is no way you can repair it yourself

Second if you go to wizard forum and go to upgrading, you would find all the instructions and help you require. rather then cominh here not regarding and simply asking. It gets quite tiring repeating your self.
it appears that the keyboard on the mini is different from that of the other WWE Wizards, so if you upgraded to anything other than an O2 ROM that needs to be taken into account as well.

Hi, as a newbie, could anyone tell me how to get the rom upgrade for this device please, and the easy way to install it
Having been in touch with vodafone they pushed me back to my contract supplier (carfone warehouse) who are useless.
On the imate website I can see the rom upgrade but, after entering my IMEI it wont allow me any further!
- would this rom upgrade work anyway, or do i need the vodafone specific one? - i note that orange / o2 upgrade is already available
any help/info greatly received

pls search the forum...also get hold of FTP of this web site and navigate yrself to Universal Folder..u will see lot of ROMs and the ways to put them in yr device.

The easyest way is to do a hard reset
then after setting up WM5 tap the screen when it says (tap the screen to star useing you Device)
then soft reset before the customizeation starts (you get 3 seconds to do this)

i had recently upgraded the WM6 on my MDA compact 3. everything was good however, i could not able to get the TOMTOM 6 working.
does anyone had experience on this? and got TOMTOM working? if do, which version and where to download?
or if the worst case. please someone help to tell me how i can go back to T-mobile ROM?

I have installed the O2 WM6 Rom on my MDAcIII. The TomTom build in the ROM works for me! I only copied my Card to the SD and registered it, thats all!

OK, I have first CID-Unlocked my MDAcIII, then I have installed the WM6 Update of O2 Germany.

After the Update, the branding and TomTom gets installed.

There is someone who says they can unlock the SIM but not CID .
I really would like to use my Orange pay montly contract SIM but its SIMlocked - I am tempted to get it unlocked via IMEI-unlock.co.uk
Any advice how u unlocked your - cheers !!!

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. CID Unlock means that you can Install other ROMS on your Phone, SIM-Unlock means that you can use no other SIM-Card. The MDAcIII is NetLocked, so you can use just T-Mobile cards.

hi there wondering if any1 can point me in the direction of a rom upgrade . i have a compact 3 from t-mobile but think its now unlocked as iv can get my orange sim working in it.
i have read that it needs to be unlocked befor i can rom upgrade. is there a way to check this or is it just a case of putting in other sims see if they work.
id luv to have wm6 and touch flo on this device but to be honest would need an idiot guide. lol
