What is meant by Radio version?
I have a Qtek 9100 and my Radio version is 02.25.11
Is that the latest version for radio.
My Rom version is 2.17.7.2 WWE is this the latest Rom also?, have checked for the latest but could not find a clear cut answer for the latest Rom version for the Qtek 9100.
On the XDA wiki site there are Rom versions available for the download my problem is in figuring out which one I should down load that can use for my Qtek 9100 G4 model.
I live in the Caribbean, we don't have Cellular carriers such as Cingular, T-Mobile etcetara etcetara.
Aany help will be appreciated.

I am a newbie with Radio upgrade. I recently bought a O2 XDA IIs which I believe is Asia version and I am using it here in Australia.
I have problem with my mobile connection (sometimes it drops out for no reason), will radio upgrade will help to stablise the connection?
My current radio version is 1.02.00 and the extRom is 1.31.920.
Can I upgrade the Radio ROM to v1.08.00? has anyone test the ROM before? if not which Radio version should I update?

I always go for the latest update that I know is compatible with my config.
In your case, I would try the 1.08.00...read the thread and have a ROM backup ready, just in case.
Hey,I am newbie to upgrading process of xda II i.I have bought it from someone else.and the following are the rom versions.
ROM VERSION 1.72.00 WWE
ROM DATE 03/15/04
RaDIO VERSION 1.17.00
PROTOCOL VERSION 1337.28
EXTENDED ROM 1.72.181
I need to know what is the latest rom for this since this phone hangs too much and has to be restrated again and again.
I went through tthe forums and got to know that the O2 rom can be upgraded to other manufactures roms.
Are other utlities uploaded in to the phone separately or are available in the rom update only.

i have a problem with the QTEK 9000 of a friend.
i upgraded the ROMs to these versions:
ROM Version: 1.30.81ITA
Protocol Version: 42.37.P8
Extended ROM Version: 1.30.169ITA
Radio Version: 1.09.00
I also needed to upgrade the bootloader from V.1.00 to V.1.01.
After the ROMS upgrade, I don't have anymore UMTS (WCDMA) signal.
Only GSM and GPRS.
I upgraded the I-Mate JASJAR ROMs, so I tried the QTEK ROMs (UNI_QTEK_ITA_13089_130177_10900_ITA_SHIP).
But no UMTS signal.
I also tried other Radio ROMs: 1.11, 1.08, 1.06, 1.04.10, 1.04.02 (the 10Mb version, the 4Mb does'nt work)
But still no UMTS signal.
When there was the old 1.02 Radio ROM, UMTS worked fine.
I would like to reinstall the original 1.02 version to see what it happens, but it's hard to find it in the internet.
Do you have any suggestions?

I have an SPV M5000 and want to know if I can update just the Radio Version.
I currently have the following device information
Operator version 7.130.1.174
ROM Version 1.30.90.WWE
ROM date 02/24/06
Radio Version 1.03.00
Protocol Version 42.36.P8
ExtROM Version 1.30.174.WWE
I know there is an update for the XDA Exec on the O2 website but I am reluctant to change anything until I know whether the SPV will function properly if I update it. (Orange haven't done an update as far as I can tell..??)
If I do update is it likely to make a difference to my phone???

It's a g4 and It's blocked.
I would like to get the latest version official ROM 2.18.7.8 .Where could I download from?. I try it from www.myqtek.com but it was impossible.
Another question, Can I load it the Wizard love version?
