Mobile2Market Privileged certificate Problem - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi all
didnt know really where to put this but i thought upgrading may be about right.
Anyhow i have been trying to get a safemode app to run on a couple of Orange phones (M3100 & M600) and this was the reply i had from one of the developers
"An app properly signed with a M2M certificate will run on every Windows Mobile 5.0 device EXCEPT:
Devices shipped by Orange do not include the Mobile2Market Privileged certificate, but do include the Normal M2M certificate"
So my question , Is it possible to extract the cert from another phone and Add them to my phone ?
and if so which ones do i look for and how would i do it ?
Thanks
dean

Error Message!!

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and Windows Mobile phones. I don't know if this question has been posted before, but I couldn't find it. When I install some programs, and try to run them, the following message appears, and suspends:
"An unexpected error has occurred. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Detail for more information.
This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."
Any solution to this?
TIA.
You can probably guess the solution from the error message itself. You need a newer version of .NET Compact Framework.
A quick search for "Microsoft .NET Compact Framework" will get you here.
yea i got it installed...thank you....actually i had come across that site before, but for some reason it wasnt installing on my device. anyway, after a soft restart of my phone as well as my computer, when i tried it again, it worked.
thanks.

Windows Mobile Call Block 1.0

I just downloaded and installed and after soft reset it shows an error saying ...
"An unexpected error has occurred in WindowsMobileCallBlockSrv.exe. Select quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.
This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET. Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."
Any ideas how to get it to install? I created a support ticket with the makers at SynergTech Solution website I got it and they haven't responded. I did it yesterday. I think they don't really have any support.
I also noted there is a 1.5 somewhere on the internet but can't figure out how to dl it. Don't know if this helps.

I guess I could have put this in the General subforum instead. If a mod wants to move it, please do.

Can't deploy apps

Hi all
Great forum...
I am trying to deploy an application from Visual Studio 2005 to my Zest phone. I have done this a hundred times in the past but for some reason it is now failing with an error:
The device security configuration disallowed the connection. Ensure that you have the appropriate certificates on your device for development. Review your SDK documentation for proper security settings for connecting to this device.
I have wasted two days now trawling the net trying to find a solution but with no luck.
I have tried to instal the SDKCerts.cab but it simply wont install.
I have tried to edit the registry using mobile registry editor but get access is denied.
I have tried to install enablerapi but that fails to install also.
I have move the .exe manually and tried to run it but it complains that the app is not signed with a trusted certificate.
I am not too clued up on certificates so I really don't know where to go next.
Any help really apprciciated.

[SOLVED][DEV]WinMo 6.5 Security level and App Execution

Hello,
I'm trying to develop a little app for my Win6.5Pro PDA (brand new, entreprise edition).
So I've made my own certificate (using tools from the SDK) and it runs smoothly on the emulator.
But when I want to transfer it to my PDA, it says: The file X cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components.....
I installed the certificate on my PDA, but nothing changed.
I tried with a .cab instead of an .exe, but nothing changed.
I tried to run the .exe in another WinMo, and it run smoothly.
I tried to install other apps, but nothing except the Marketplace's apps were allowed.
After a few hours on Google and MSDN, I think it is because the security level is set to "Locked" (cf. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb416350.aspx ).
Is there a way to change the security level, or to bypass it?
(it's for personnal dev, and I'm not part of Mobile2Market Program so I don't have a trusted certificate)
Not sure if WM5 version will work with WM6.5, but there's a tool for this:

Here's a short tutorial:

Thanks stepw.
The Security Configuration Manager tool is also include in the WinMo 6 SDK, so it should work fine.
But I've already tried, and the phone can't connect to anything but ActiveSync
So, after a cople of hours, I've somehow managed to find a solution.
I don't know if it will help somebody but I will write it here.
It's probably not the best solution, but it work fine with me.
First, I've copied the following configuration file into the PDA:
C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\Tools\PocketPC\Security\SecurityOff.cpf
C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\Tools\PocketPC\Security\RapiSecurityRapiAllowed.cpf
And I've executed them several times: it seems that something happened (the screen got black for half a second) but at this stage I still wasn't able to launch my app.
I've try to hard reset the device and still nothing changed.
But when I deleted the ActiveSync connection on my desktop and re-connected the PDA, a pop-up appeared saying that the device should restart so new changes will take effect.
And when the PDA restarted, everything was fine

[Q] Custom certificate error

Hello forum users,
I have been using the PA ROM for about a month now on my new Oneplus One and so far I am enjoying it very much.
Recently, however, I have encountered an error which I am now struggling to resolve. The educational facilities where I study offer a free wireless connection, given that you install their certificates and create custom wireless connections on your phone by using these certificates. I installed the two certificates and I am now facing a warning/an error that reads: Network may be monitored by an unknown party. I cannot use these certificates to create a custom WIFI connection on my phone. I googled the issue and found out the phone does not trust the certificates and that I need to somehow move these two certificates to the folder where all the trusted certificates are. All of the solutions I have found are irrelevant for the PA ROM.
Can anyone explain to me how to move these certificates to the appropriate folder or make them trusted by the phone?
Kind regards from Slovenia
