Battery Temperature - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Is there any way to get the battery temperature? I have tried several utilites but they only report battery usage and reports 0 degrees as the battery temperature.

Battery increasing when idle

Has anyone had this problem, er... fortune? My BA seems to actually increase its battery life when I leave on idle. I have it underclocked to -20% when idle and overclocked to +33% (Full overclock) when cpu load is over 50%. So while in use the battery drains very quickly, but when it is left on idle or when I suspend all programs on my phone I actually gain battery life of about 4-8% per hour. Is this a normal thing?
I've never had that happen to me, it sounds like a dodgy battery metre. But I’m not sure. Very strange.
My BA behaves in a similar-but-different manner: when charging, the battery shows a decreasing charge... and when it reaches 0, jumps back to whatever the real charge is. So I'm guessing a faulty battery meter as well.

[Q] Battery life increasing after several minutes?

I recently switched from the standard battery to the extended battery. I'm running an unrooted, unlocked stock phone. I have drained it to 0 and charged it to 100 (with the device off) several times.
However, each time I drain it to 0 over the course of a day, I notice times where the battery life actually increases from minute to minute. In particular, if I use the phone for awhile, and then stop using it for awhile, when I resume, the battery life is slightly above where it was before I stopped using it.
The increase is proportional to how long I wait. I have seen up to a 5 percent increase after a single break (maybe 15 percent adding up all the breaks over a single drain).
Does this mean that I am not getting the full potential from my battery, or that it has to be calibrated? If so, is there anything I can do short of rooting the phone? I'm getting about 3 hours of browsing time a day (that alone, combined with time not using the phone, drains it from 100 to 0).
This is normal behaviour, i've seen it on the stock battery. It's just the battery "recovering" after a large current draw. The system reports the battery level from actual voltage of the battery. With li-ion or li-po batteries, the voltage decrease is fairly linear in respect to it's charge level so it's a good indicator of battery status. However, if you take this to extreme levels for the sake of explaination, if you were to short the battery out (high current) the terminal voltage would collapse to virtually zero, then if you removed the short the battery terminal voltage would slowly increase to its (now moderately reduced) charge level. What you are seeing is this effect at a lesser level.

battery drain normal until 30%

I've been experiencing this issue for awhile now on multiple Roms after multiple charge cycle.
Battery drain is consistent and expected until around 30%. Then the battery drains to 0 in 90 minutes or less.
Anyone with similar issue or thoughts?
Do I need to replace my battery? I've been seeing this for probably 4-6 weeks.
Yeah, I have the same problem. I think it means that your battery is not calibrated properly.
It's either not calibrated properly (meaning charge it 100% and go into the boot menu->advanced->erase battery stats) to recablirate and or you have gone past the 100 charge cycles a battery phones stays optimal. Depending on use you may need it

my battery are normal? Oo

I see everyone posted GSam battery monitor
its says
3V near to the temperature
my battery show 3.9V
what dos it mean?? why my battry is 3.9V and not 3V as all of the people posted??
( I most say my battery drain kinda fast in normal usage with all features off (wifi is off and G4 is taking only 3%)
the mediaserver and screen draning battery much more then the avrg'
if my sound is on 60%voliume youtube drain 1% for each 1-2min of watching!
my phone is on pSAVE all the time with 50% screen birghtness
Can you confirm what type of phone you have?

Click to collapse
Well the Voltage I get on the GSAM app shows 3.733V
now after I charged the battery its shows me 4.3V
wtf?? Oo its suppose to be like that?
I got the normal version grey htc m8
without any tweaks
for europe
I don't know where you are getting your info from but the battery is 4.3v on mine when fully charged. I don't think any phones have a 3v battery. Standard is 3.7v I think.

post your voltages and Temps for me please

Can you guys list your battery voltages and temperatures of your exynos and battery during use and idle for me so I can see what the hell is wrong with my phone. You can use AIDA64 if you don't already have an app you like.
I left my phone in a very moist very hot bag by the pool. Afterwards for about a day and a half it wouldn't turn on. Then it now uses about 1 percent of the battery every 1 to 2 minutes. Maybe 5 minutes per percent while idle.
I'm trying to pinpoint whether the soc is damaged or whether I can just replace the battery. Thank you guys in advance.
So how about:
Temperature of exynos and battery during use while charging.
Temperature of battery and exynos idle
Voltage of battery at 100 percent
Voltage of battery at less than 3 percent
