LiveView North America?

Has anything been announced about when LiveView is going on sale in North America? I'd like one but haven't been able to find anything in terms of a release date.

SE thinks North America is on another planet where release dates are just figments of people's imaginations.
Seriously though, I'm with you. I'd like to get my hands on one as well but have yet to see it offered anywhere on this side of the pond.

well i found another one on amazon, look for the seller soteluk
this one is 52.37 + 7 = around 60 euro
The seller in the link u have were selling it for 56 euro for a while, i bought mine for that price, the shipping was around 7 euro which work out to be 86 dollars canadian.

i doubt liveview will launch in north america like many other sony ericsson accessories. i mean, most of the time i go on the SE website, i select Hong Kong -English or UK just to keep up to date with the latest electronics.. it's a joke if you ask me.

Here's one for $100. Still a bit much I think.
Getgoods.de has one for some 42 euros + shipping but I don't think they ship outside Europe.

[Q] Need a gsm GN and an unlocked one(?)

First of all, I'm new in the site(first thread) and i am an iPhone user so sorry for questions that maybe stupid for you guys.
I live in Israel, we run GSM here and after being with the iPhone 3 and 4 I've decided that i want to try android.
I played with my friend's android and it's great so i thought why not?
the thing is that my mom goes to a business trip to Boston from the 20 to the 25 of November and because it will take ages for the GN to come to Israel i want her to buy it for me there.
i read here that at first it will come to Verizon(bad for me)
do you think that retail stores will sale it without a contract at the release date?(GSM)?
plus, i know that US sells locked phones, and with the iPhone unlocking is always a pain in the ***, how do i unlock an android? or better yet the galaxy nexus?

from your experience, how long does it take for an android to get unlocked?

Weren't the last two Nexus phones carrier unlocked?

i have no idea...
i know that the s2 for example had to be unlocked(if you bought it from US)

nexus phones were bootlocked, but not sim locked. Google fastboot oem unlock for good info. unlocking is easy.
I would bet big money there will be a gsm version that works fine in your country.
Just check this forum everyday, all the info will be here.

Well Google seems to indicate that Israel's GSM frequency bands are 900/1800, and the Galaxy Nexus supports 850/900/1800/1900, so yes, you should be fine.

just check Clove.co.uk and other sites if ur from EU.

wrong calculation.. itl be 614 with shipping.
so just wait until your country has it.
the few 20 euros cheaper isnt worth it.
ill never go above the 500euro mark my self.

*try with VAT number, i always buy all with some fake VAT number...
Israel is 520 € + 27 € delivery = 547 €
Slovenia 512 € (with EU Vat number) + 20 € delivery = 532 €
My problem is, sell or not to sell GS2 and switch to Nexus just because of ICS

Retail price on ATT

Hey guys I have an international S3 right now to avoid paying 30/month on ATT and to have real unlimited data.
I paid about 730 or so for my S3, and have noticed the note II on clove is 588 USD after shipping. I have 2 upgrades on my ATT account, and plan on keeping ATT for a long while unless something crazy happens with them. All carriers are about the same in US and I am in the military so I can't go with a carrier that works in the city only.
What I was wondering is should I snag the internaitonal note for 600 bucks (could sell my GS3 for 5 at least) unlocked or should I use an upgrade and get one from ATT?
Another thing I was thinking about (since my wife isn't getting the iphone 5, which frees an upgrade up) is using my 2 upgrades on S3s and selling them on ebay, thoughts?

PS iirc the note was 300 with a new contract right?

Just looked on Clove, and the Note 2 is definitely more than $600 USD. Where are you seeing that price?

Just priced it a few hours ago and it was 456 Euro, which is 588 USD right now

It is 444 UK Pound which it is about $712 USD.

i don't think the UK uses the Pound any more. i think they all switched to Euro. i could be wrong, though.

General Some info about the Argentina/Uruguay/Paraguay version - SM-A225MZKEARO

This device seems to be entirely manufactured in Argentina (Tierra del Fuego), not just assembled.
Price at official dollar is 400 USD but at blue dollar is only 215 USD right now, and if you get a discount/promo, it will be much cheaper than the average 249 price in Amazon. For example I got an extra 42 USD rebate on top of the slightly lower price (205 USD), making it only 163 USD total.
What's more, this version includes NFC, which isn't included in the Global version.
As a setback, this model doesn't have dual SIM. At the moment, I don't know if it's a hardware limitation or just the SIM tray that has the second SIM slot "filled". Since it was manufactured here in Argentina I'm pretty sure it's an actual hardware limitation.

Have you managed to succesfully unlock the bootloader and/or Root the phone?

A purchase is something I'm seriously considering. Additionally, this version supports NFC, but the Global version does not.
