I can't connect to www.xda-developers.com from any of my pcs in my house. if i type in the url in ie it goes to yahoo search and finds xda-dev. i click on the link and it takes a while loading and ends up with "internet explorer cannot display the webpage". I've tried using firefox and IE, i've pinged the site and its succesful just won't show up. I've also power cycled my wireless router and cable modem as well as cleared my cache. Is my home IP banned? i'm in goodstanding in this forum and have been a member for a while now (at least a year). So what gives? do i send and email to [email protected]?
I'm currently writing this using opera (double space issue) on my wizard through edge. and now that the mobile view is gone its a pain browsing the site because the ads like to go wherever they like and cover topics that i want to click on. so any help would be appreciated.

its working now. Thanks for helping. Don't know why it wasn't loading, i did the live tech support with my ISP and they just told me to power cycle everything, which i already did, and get back on and chat with them after that. I just went to sleep, woke up and its working
now i can update my rom!

Ok I never really got to test this when i was running WM5 so i dont know if it works either way... but just recently i became single again, and iv been hooked my the worst drug on the face of the earth "Myspace", its how everyone gets ahold of me now... but im always in the feild at work and have this nice phone with a great browser, but am unable to visit one of the most visited sites on the web. This is the Error Message i Receive: Server Error in '/' Application.
Once again not pleading for help but would be nice to get a responce as i have looked Everywere for a resolution. and yes i have .NET Compact Framework. and I am able to get to the home page of myspace just fine. but its after i click login.

You should contact the site administrator -- many are interested in making their sites more accessible. it may be as simple as checking the browser type and sending a logon page capable of rendering properly in a non-desktop browser.
how would contacting Myspace help me with this... i have seen several Dash owners and WM5/WM6 devices login.. for some reason i cant get my device to get around the dame runtime error and yes .NET Framwork 2.0 mobile is installed...

Windows Live Mobile is what you want. Search for that. It comes with Messenger... just got it myself today. Great today plug in as well.

i know windows live but i keeps bugging me wireless connection is not availaible rite now...thats y i was shifting to pocket msn.....can any body help?
Yes. Pocket MSN can be used in WM6. I am using it in my x01ht with WM6. It works very well.

Hi there, i did try your link to the Pocket MSN cab file and it works fine! you just solved all my problems, as i have used a WM5 device for a while and really disappointed to see my new WM6 device didnt have pocket MSN! not thats history!

now here's a strange one (well, honestly every problem I encounter without understanding it, appears strange to me )
I have an HTC P3300 with the official WM6 from the HTC Site. I also installed the HTC.Kaiser.Home..with the 6 buttons.
My Problem concers the Weather Updates. At the beginning everything went fine. I connected myself at home to my wireless router, and downloaded the newest weather informations. (At the beginning I had some trouble to add cities that were not on the preinstalled list, but in the end I resolved this problem too.)
Yesterday, after more than a month where nothing went wrong, I suddenly had to re-enter my WPA-Code to access the router (no idea why). And from that moment on, I can not download any weather data. It doesn't matter if it is a city that I added or a city from the original list. On the other side, I still can download the QuickGPS data, and surf on the net. So the connection should work properly,...
Any ideas?

Okay, but do you know, why this suddenly appears? I mean is it only a program error, or has it something to do with the fact that it happened simultaneously with the need to re-enter the WPA-code?
I just want to know the reason, before reinstalling everything, or before following the recommandations of the above posted link,...
Do I have to presume that the fact that I can no longer download weather data and the fact that all of a sudden I had to re-enter my WPA-code, are not related? No dark connection settings ruling the special weather data download, while all the other downloads are running normaly?
And does the link posted before, with the updated HTC Homeplugin with the working weather tab, works for everyone? Not that I don't believe Mark, just wanted to check? No bad feelings Mark! ;-)

Here I am again. I have just re-installed my Homeplugin and now the weather tab is completly empy! The first line with the city name is empty, I still can click on it to access the city list, but there will be nothing displayed in the tab. Also the big field where the weather forecast should be, is empty, even no "could not download data", nothing, just a big black empty tab. :-(
Now I presume I have to download the patched cab file at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319187
Somebody can help me which file/files I have to download, because I do not really have a clear view on the hole thing anymore? I have P3300 wit WM6 (official HTC WM6). :-S

Just curious, but what file did you download? I've read this link before and today I've been reading the instructions he gave in that link to a separate page, and I'm totally confused as to what the H*ll I'm supposed to do! There are so many options and files. I thought I knew a little about this stuff but, right now, I'm just take his advice to just leave you phone alone if you don't know what you're doing. I've been contempating this for over a month now.

Here's the detail what I've made, perhaps it will help you shawndh, but I have also seen that N2A has now transferred everything to a new page http://weather.not2advanced.com/files/
- I uninstalled my Plugin
- I downloaded and installed the SdkCerts.cab
- I downloaded and installed the Shen-6tab-cab v2.1 with the N2A weatherpatch. On the new page, it is the second link under "Released patched versions of HTC Home" (if you too have a P3300 this is your plugin).
Hope I could help you. I know the old page was not very easy to understand, N2A helped me, thanks again. The new page seems a lot easier for newbies like me.

I used my phone to search online and download it from 'rapidshare' but each time i download it. my phone always says download unsuccessful!?

I'm not sure rapidshare would actually work with the phone directly
I used the rapidshare link on my laptop then copied the cab from the laptop to my phone

they mention that the latest version of tomtom home supports the hd
so you should be able to buy maps that way

i received a free map also, but i found that the GPS signal is not very good, as it took me ages to get a signal then it looses it very quickly! is there any way around this problem?
My GPS is picked up pretty fast about 4 - 6 seconds inside teh house, at first though it will take a while to get a precise reading of where you are but when you load tomtom again it is pretty much immediately found. i have travelled round the country via train and it and did take a bit longer to get a reading from a town i guess cuz of the location change but once it is loaded again in the area its fine n pretty quick.
