Please Help XDAIIi Cannot disconnect GPRSconnection

Please Help when I connect to GPRS I cannot disconnect it without softbooting the PDA... I have read the manual from cover to cover and it clearly states Tap the Connectivity icon (the G in the square) the tap disconnect... there is no disconnect option Please Help!!!!

Simply hold down the RED disconnect button for a few seconds on the today screen. Easy! ;-)

Does B&B4.3 for artemis / P800 ? the buttons are different..
M700 got different buttons alocation. No GPS.
I'm looking for WM6.1 Vanilla specific for Dopod M700 only

I'm using Dopod M700 too.
You can use Black & Blue 4.3 or 5.0 (but 4.3 is better) or the best one is Artemis Touch 4.01 (or maybe 4.02 better, I'm testing 4.02).
All of them work good with GPS
Those ROM is for Artemis & Dopod M700 is Love, so you have to change the button setting, it is so easy.

Ok, I found the Dopod P800W CHT Rom from somewhere and flashed my Dopod M700 by editing the hex file to match the Model ID. However, after flashing the Dopod P800W CHT Rom, my Dopod doesn't show EDGE connection but just GPRS. I'm sure that it was EDGE connection with my previous ROM. Anyone know how to get back to EDGE connection? My previous ROM and current ROM are:

Even I flashed the radio Rom to 03.07.90 or 03.12.90, the connection still at GPRS status. Even the Model of P800W and M700 are EDGE unabled in Taiwan. Therefore, I don't know why the EDGE doesn't appear on my connection.

You need to update the SPL to 1.11.0000 in order to flash/update your Dopod M700. you need to go to service mode and using usb cable to update it.

Hi ... Did u fix your m700 ... i have flash this rom and right now i encounter the same issue here..
I try to copy the rom in the micro sd and try to boot up " press " recorder and reset " from SD to write back the rom ... but still not work.... hang in another screen have red,green and blue color ...help help..

if you brick your device you have to copy the original ROM into your SD.. and format your SD with FAT system file.. and then if you press the record botton and the reset and don't work.. try to press the record and the power while your mobile is off.

i have already update the spl to 1.11... btw, can u let me know how to go to serivce mode ..... coz right now i try to use usb cable to connect the pc... no response.... help help

Thanks for your information... I have work on this machine over 10 hrs to search over the forum here.... at last i can flash it when i press record and reset button and at the same time connect with usb cable ...... after that i can flash it thru PC ...........

Mio A501 WM6.1 WWE ROM cooked by elMInStER

Hi ppl,
I've found out a ROM cooked by elMInStER (in English)
I've tried and is almost 100% good. Yep, there's some bugs, but not something too painfull (for me).
Any way, here comes the links:

elMInStER wrote that he hasn't a Mio A501 and he's focusing himself on cooking A701 ROM's but, I really hope that the XDA family can now start developping this great peace of work that he done.
One huge small step was made!!
The list of the buggs detected on the ROM:
- I confirm the doubled shortcuts to eUtility and Office/MobileOffice and the SimManager remained in Polish language
- wrong Camera.lnk shortcut (should point to the CCam.exe program instead)
- problems with mapping of the functional buttons:
- in WM5 I had 4 items to set, now there are 3 only
- I can remap no.1 & 2 to some stuff, but not the no.3
- I miss the possibility (from the WM5 ROM) to set automatic keylocking when I suspend the device (pushing the power button) ->Installing slide2unlock solved.
Do this at your own risk! I take no reponsibility if you damage or brick your A501!
You need Windows XP for this!!! as it does not work with vista!
1. Download the File and unzip it.
2. Check that your A501 is not connected to your PC.
3. Disable USB option in Active Sync by right clicking on tray icon, Choosing <Connection Settings> and then Unmarking <Allow USB connections> (remember to enable this after finishing the guide).
4.Open the file ChiSync33.
5. Enter in the bootloader menu by pressing and holding VolumeUP button + NavigationDown button and then pressing and holding RESET button for 4 seconds and releasing the reset button and when the menu appears then the other pressed buttons.
6. Connect your A501 to the PC through USB and wait until the A501 image on top of the Window on your PC appears without the red circle and then press the first update button that you see from top to bottm.
7. The upload begins and then after it is finished the A501 will restart....It will take some time to restart, you will have to go through the initial setup (calibrate the screen, set the time and date.. etc) and after another automatic restart you will see a menu where you can choose from some languages coose your language and then there will be another automatic restart. and thats it!!
As a big fan of elMInStER work, I've seen that he's cooking WM6.5 for A701 and it would be great to see the same happening for the A501.
elMInStER, since you are the only guy in the world (not chinese) that make us taste this wonderfull sweet home made cooking ROM's, please, but please, cook this one for me.
P.S.: I'm living in Krakow and people from Microsoft (in Krakow Business Park - HCL - KBP100) are amazed with you. We need more people like you, we should meet!

I also would like to add that my mio a501 works faster than ever with the full wm6.1 rom. The official service in my country did an upgrade to the device or wm5 and it was almost porked. Now it is working satisfactory again! Many thanks to you guys for posting and to elminster for his excellent work!!!

I'll try to see what was developed more from elminster.. Problem is that he hasn't this PDA and he develops more for the A702.

I downloaded the rom and i flashed to my mioa501. i was like it. but i found another bug: the system can not handle the gps. aaaand another big-big problem: i can not upload any rom. something was happened with the bootloader or something. why?

Hey guys,
Here is a button patch registry file I made so every button can be mapped.
Just import the registry file and every button will be set, except GPS because this ROM doesn't have MioMap installed by default.

O2 Zinc Wont Turn On Help!!!

I Have O2 Zinc but wont turn on, but led color orange like charging when i put to wall charger or usb cable, i want to entering bootloader but i can't ( i dont know how ).
could someone help me about this problem? is my Zinc Bricked? How To Unbrick that?

hmmmmm if u want to enter bootloader u have to press ur DPAD Right & Reset Button. But Make Sure u download o2 Zinc Rom and place it inside ur memory card.... and it should do the trick........ i may not be bricked... usually its software problem.... if lights are still there it will work.

Please help for my XDA Zinc

I yesterday tried to upgrade my XDA Zinc with wm 6.5 rom version cruzzmz 21806th artificial, some time was running fine ... but after a PDA in a state of sleep ... backlight is not lit even tried pressing the Power button is a last resort ... must reset the PDA is restarted .. after any previous incidents happening again ...
Please help me .. Sorry for my English is not good enough ..
