I suggest this would be illegal... no, nust install the one from your ext_rom using total commander and you are good to go. I did it that way too

tom tom 6 wont recognise inbuilt gps on orbit, can someone please show ther settings that they have in the gps settings in settings and what to do in tom tom to get it going, thankyou

There is the possibility to edit your gps-settings:
Add the Key "GPS Settings" to "HKLM\ControlPanel" and assign a DWORD called "Group" with the value 2 to it. After a Softreset you should find the GPS-Settings Icon in you Settings-Manager in the Connection-Tab.

Yes!! Because the original skin for Dialer came from a Prophet ROM (PDAViet Mysterious 1.0 for Prophet by Cloudyfa).

I should know, bc i was one of the major skin contributer for that rom! It's my guess, that the rom was such a success that they ported the graphics so trinity users can enjoy. But i guess they forgot some details such as video call...

Confirmed this is a problem, resolved by creating the following registry additions... do this at your own risk...
Goto Programs, then Applications and open PHM Registry Editor
Click the "+" symbol next to HKEY_Local_Machine, then Software, Microsoft,
Shell, and Rai
Should be here HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai
Click Edit then "New Key and call it ":MSCONTACTS" without quotes.
Click on newly created Key:
Create New String Value Under name Enter "0" no quotes
In Value Date: Enter "Contacts" no quotes
Create New String Value Under name enter "1"
In Value Data: Enter "poutlook.exe contacts" no quotes
Create New DWord Value Name Enter "2" no quotes
In Value Data: Enter "1"
Click OK and just to be safe, I would do a soft reset... though should work even without one...
If done properly, your screen should look something like the below pic:

Task Manager
Is possible to have the task manager used in this ROM??
This is a great ROM, ive been using it for a few days now and it seems stable and battery is fine, Great work
Only problem i have found is that in the 'Audio Manager' when you start to goes through the library that the top title bar does not refresh and the words get written over eachother. Anyone found this?
How to take out this ROM
I have a Trinity bought in Italy from TIM and I installed this ROM on it. The problem is I'm having a lot of issues as:
- GPS has not worked since I installed it
- HDSPA is not working. It was working with the original one and the connection speedy descreased considerably.
- Network configuration desappears after a soft reset
- Email configuration desappears after a soft reset.
As I recently moved to Italy and my mobile is the only way to access internet I need it working properly.
The problem now is that everytime I try to install another ROM a communication error pops up in the beginning of the upload process (from my dektop to Trinity).
Anyone, please help me!!!

but the ones by HTC Home was terrible..... 6 or 7 mb in memory waste all....

there is a package somewhere, about cabs.... only insert into sdconfig\ folder into storage card, for registry tweak, you must learn about provxml files...

MeteoRay software display properly temperature only with Fahrenheit grads in settings otherwise it display temperature in Fahrenheit instead Celsius.

This new rom i780MSHC3 includes a new "mouse" driver that supports and press and hold function that simulates the right click menus, etc. My question is that if someone could extract the new mouse drivers and make a cab file or something?
This because i have a portuguese rom with specific service provider settings and utilities which, for now i dont want to loose. Also the rom i have supports the hard reset function which is very important in case of a disaster and is something i definitely don't want to loose.

Try this.
Take the new mouse driver (mouse.dll), rename it as mouse-new.dll and put it in the \windows directory.
Use a registry editor and change all the mouse.dll values in mouse-new.dll, then softreset the device and see what happens.

I am using Mobile Registry Editor, and
1. I can find only touch.dll i HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH. I can't find mouse.dll in the registry at all.
2. Any way: I can't make changes there... "Access denied message apears.."

I fixed #2 using Resco, but i still cannot find mouse.dll on my device
Another point:
3. I took touch.dll from rom i780MSHC3_UKENG_PDA and when I place it into device my touchpad dies at all (both stylus and touchpad)

I' have posted a coocked rom with the new and old drivers but seem tath noone has tried to see if it helps.

If you are asking about the file off xcforum, you have to place the ‘art map’ directly in “program files/navigator”. After that you can select the pictures in TT7.

If the file is unzipped , copy the cab to the phone or memory card.
Press the cab and it should install.
Map TomTom 6
I have installed TomTom 7 downloaded the map for free and installed it - works.
Then I tried to use my old maps from Version 6 and it did not work. So, I re-installed the maps with TomTom Home and still he does not use the Version 6 maps.
Do I need to twist the registry somewhere or is there anything else I am missing.
I wanted to free up more device memory, but the Office 2007 CABs (I could find) would only install to the device. So I edited the CAB I had, to give you the choice (device or storage card).
It seems to work OK. The shortcuts, on the start menu, weren't pointing to the new location... but I think I have fixed that. Not sure what happens on non-english devices.
The bugbears I have found are;
Hitting the new button in Word generates an error. I think it is because the default template is in the wrong place. So if anyone can shed some light on that, I would be grateful. It's not a biggie tho' I just created a document called "blank.doc" and open that instead.
And the File Associations are pointing to the old location. I edited the registry changes in the CAB, but I screwed up (it couldn't handle the space in 'Storage Card'... hmmm). So I went back to the earlier version, and you have to edit the file associations manually. #
Is anyone willing to lend me a brain cell here?
I'm sure someone will come along now and say, "there is already a CAB that does this".... but I did spend two days looking for one!

there are 3 cases for for software on PDA devices:
applications that are cooked with the ROM installed on your device (in this situation you can not uninstall these applications)
applications that installed as a part of the post-flash customization.
applications that you install yourself
for the 2nd and 3rd situation you may go to "Settings/[Tab: System] Remove Programs" if you want to know which programs are installed on your device and from there you can uninstall the programs that you don't need.
I hope this was a kind of useful for you and it answered your question.

other than changing to another ROM (without Office cooked in)... there's a fair choice!
I'll just point out that this cab breaks the finger friendly menus in 6.5.3 File Explorer...
