Is it possible to upgrade ONLY the radio version?

hey guys, i want to know if it's possible to upgrade the RADIO version without upgrading the ROM version of the Jasjar. My device is stable and i honestly dont want to mess around with it (it doesnt mean i dont wanna mess around with the radio though):lol:
How do i do this upgrade?

You have to download the ROM upgrade then unpack it, then copy radio.nbf to a directory and run the attached file, it will update your radio only.
Tell me if it worked. BTW, is your Universal English?

Yes, defenitely possible.
While trying to upgrade I did exactly this. My device came back with the original rom but with another radio version.

Jorgee apart from been in Spanish, ¿it's any advantage in that ROM 1.13.74 ESN or Extended 1.13.169 ESN? I'm with movistar...
I installed the new radion version 1.04.10, but I had to hardreset it and so I had to reinstall everything from scratch :roll:

Well, the ExtendedROM is very small, i already just posted it to the upload section.
So where'd you buy your JASJAR?
I cant seem to find ANY accrssories for the Qtek. I don't even have a screen protector .... a SIN in my book.

So what ROM version are you using?
I tried checking the websites you mentioned, bioth Mundopda and lacasadelgps don't have screen protectors for the Qtek 9000 or i might be wrong. Expansys shiopping is kinda expensive but i will buy from them if I don't find anywhere else to buy.
Anyone else tried the QTEK spanish ROM I uploaded? How's it's performance compared to the other English ROM's?

I have a qtek 9000 and I want to update my rom/ruu to the latest and I have searched and downloaded from different ftp sites, but none of the programs I have tried worked so far and I have no clue of which one is the right one for my device.
I have currently these informatons:
At start it says: Imate
Rom version: 1.30.68 WWE
Rom date: 02/08/06
Radio version: 1.09.00
Protocol verion: 42.42.p8
ExtRom version: 1.30.153 WWE
Language english (before it was german, but someone changed it for me)
I think the file name that I need is something called "prodigy" or something.
I would really appreciate it, if someone could help me and at the same time maybe describe to me how and what I should do.

Req: Rom Upgrade (O2 XDA IIS)

Dear mates i bought a used O2 Xda IIs. its good but i am having a problem that sometimes it halts. and all buttons jam. and lights on continuesly and then i have to press the reset button.. i also reset the mobile. (soft reset) and also hardrest. to its original. but its having this problem sometimes. i dont know its a hardware or software problem. according to my knowledge. i think i have to upgrade its rom.

Radio Version: 1.06.00

Mates when i tried to register to O2 site to get rom updates. then it refused that my IME no is not correct.
i dont know how i will get the rom update.
please kindly help me. if someone has the proper link. to some site. so i will upgrade the rom.

ROM date:03/11/07
Radio Version: 1.38.00.11
Protocol Version: 32.71.7020.12H
ExtROM version: 1.23.405.103
I am reading in your forums, but i dont understand very well, then I am afraid that i can damage my HTC.
I would like to request you your help to can update my HTC without problems, and if is possible where can i find the software/links to upgrade it.

upgrading comes with risk. it cannot be dispensed with.
Try mun's version TE- sticky.

want to upgrade rom, but dont no wot i need to do it, ie: latest rom and were to get it!
how to upgrade etc.
done a little search, but throws up loads of stuff. to much to sift thru lol
so all in all peeps, looking for the easiest guide out there

What would really help, would be for you to say what device you have.
And then you can look in that subforum, no doubt there are stickies for everything you want to know

i think what's bbobeckyj mean is what kind of O2 XDA
there's a lot of them you know
is it XDAII ? XDA mini ? atom ? atom exec ? atom life ?
or anything else ?

its an xdaII, but i thought that the rom upgrade procedure would be the same regardless! maybe i thought wrong?
so i am looking for wot rom to use for upgrade and a walk thru on how to do it? all on an xdaII
