Hello!
I wanted to know if there is any way to Flash a model with Bootloader 1.06. I want flash one HTC Hermes (model SoftBank X01HT, ex Vodafone JP) with OS in Japanese to OS in English, but it's impossible because the Bootloader is 1.06 instead of 1.04, and check the vendor ID
Is there any work or any idea with this?

What version of the unlock software did you use?
The one that goes into bootloader?
Or the one that you run from the device?
I'm getting the same issue. I used v2.2 unlock code found on this site. Any ideas?

I am looking for the exact same thing, I have a T-Mobile MDA locked and I want to know how to unlock it...
Is it safe to run unlocking softwares like LOKIWIZ or xda2unlock
Don´t forget I am amateur at this and I do not want to crash my device.

thanks a lot to all of you for the nice job you've been doing! I'm living in Japan and using a SB x01ht that was bought just after launching around october 2006. I'm still using the original version with bootloader 1.06, the only thing I installed was Asukal's english MUI. I haven't upgraded to the new extrom but now I need to have access to data communication. Can you tell me how can I do without simlocking my phone?

"Q: Will this work on Post April (white) SoftBank X01HT phones?
Yes if you have not let the SoftBank ExtROM install, otherwise your radio bootloader has been upgraded to 0182 and it is not possible to flash a radio or remove the SIMLock."
How come the ExtRom can lock the phone in the above situation?

If you want to flash carrier ROMs please first remove IPL/SPL from that ROM.
Your Hard-SPL won't allow reflashing any other SPL.
This is for Security, a badly flashed IPL or SPL will brick your device.
Besides that, the average user won't have any advantage from another SPL other than Hard SPL.
You'd be better of with a custom cooked ROM from one of our Cooks (they are all IPL/SPL free)
Most custom ROMs stand out in stability, and added extra's.

Before I ask you a question I would like to tell you that i searched in our forum for this question so many days but what I found doesn't help me.
So I will be thankful if someone take the time to answer me:
I have a HTC artemis and I cannot make it work again. In fact, I never flash it before and it was a gift for my birthday. I tried to flash it with a rom but the problem that I can't use the activeSync. the PCC doesn't work and only I can use the bootloader. Then I tried to use the USPL because the original rom is locked but it doesn't work because the USPL works need a connction with activeSync to The PC too .
I don't know what I could do?? please help me

- can I use USPL without activSyn and using only the bootloader mode?
- if not, how can I flash my HTC artemis directly using bootloder?
My problem is that my actual rom is locked and I can't connect it to my PC with the activSyn.

I had the same problem with my i-mate jam. You should download another flash update tool and try it again. It worked for me.
