Dual Sim not run on Universan??? Help me!

dual sim
Hi
I Had also a problem with dual sim.
I only have a workaround if you dont need umts.
go to settings-telephone-band and use for network type gsm instead of auto.
umts doesnt work now but gprs is still available.
if you still have problems you can use a separate programm for switching, look at www.wivit.com and try the sim status switcher.
good luck

defekt adaptor
Hi
Sorry thats all i can advice.
maybe that your dual sim adaptor is defekt or simply the cards are not contacted. it happened to me also once.
If you have another dualsim adapter try it.
bye
PS i use generation 10 sim adapter .

I've actually tried one of these ghost sims.
My problem is that I cannot reliably "switch off" the phone to make it switch.
How do you guys do it.
I'm trying a softreset, radio off/on.
But although I do occationally get it to switch, it is not practical enough to use.

I too have the samew problem with trying to install WiVSSS10.cab
Has anyone actually had it running on a Universal or on WM5 for that matter ?

Dual Sim Wivit 1.0
Hi All,..
Im using Windows Mobile 6.0... And downloaded Wivit1.0. The problem is that I Cannot Use Wivit1.0 on a Windows Mobile 6.0 device.
Since I use on my MDA-Pro Windows Mobile 6.0, I would not like to be going back to WM5.0.
Can anyone tell me if there is a Dual Sim switch software available for the windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0?
Regards
arjan

HyperCard 3G Dual Sim Adapter

Hi all.
I tested the HyperCard 3G Dual Sim adapter from http://www.2-phones-in-1.com/ in my HTC Trophy. Conclusion: It works like a charme.
"
After some cutting problems (had to cut the sims thinner than the templates delivered with the adapter - but no problem: i think you cannot really do anything wrong. just be brave ;o] ) i created a contact with 2 phone numbers:
Name: HyperCard 3G
Image: Toke Logo from HyperCard 3G Homepage
Private 1: 11*
Private 2: 22*
this easily switches between the two sim cards. I stacked the contact to the homescreen so that i can easily and rapidly switch.
see here a short video:
works also with HSDPA and UMTS 3G. I think its the one worldwide supporting this currently in a dual sim adapter:
If you have questions do not hesitate to contact me here in this thread.
All the best

Nice, when someone calls you on phonenumber of sim1 and you have set it sim2, you are not available?
I think I know the answer but maybe if you're using the same provider..
you can easily set in your windows phone "call forwarding". because i use same provider "same net" it costs nothing. to your question:
if you do nothing it will not inform you. it is like: one sim is on the other off.
all the best.

Hi, I have HTC mozart, I am just wondering if that will work and also I am not clear how to switch between two numbers, normally it should create an application or menu to switch between the numbers as it created in my android and windows 6.5 phone (hd2). any help much appreciated. Creating contact and by calling either numbers, does it switch the the numbers?
Thanks

as you can see in the video it is a contact with 2 numbers. if you call 1 number it is changing the sim.
currently there is no app for windows phone 7 available due to the microsoft limited access to windows phone 7 system settings through apps.
i will create one app if its available, no matter if homebrew or at marketplace!

Thank you very much it will be nicde to have app for windows 7 great.
but I am unable to change the number as I created the contact as follows in my Mozart
Name: Hypercard 3G
Picture- My favuoire pic not a logo
Work
Work2
as there was no option to select private1 and private 2title in HTC mozart.
Just thought that might be the reason for not being able to swap the number by even calling. Any thought if its not too much to ask
You must set the phone numbers for Work1 and Work2 as:
Work 1: 11*
Work 2: 22*
meaning, calling "11*" changes to SIM1 and calling "22*" changes to SIM2

on the homepage you can find a similar image. i browsed there with my phone, downloaded the image and than used grey filter with image tool on htc trophy.
Awesome now I can travel with my trophy
I know is a old thread, but is the only one about dual sim adapters on windows phone. I have a Samsung omnia 7, do you think the HyperCard 3G works fine also with my device?
Good morning,
I have an HTC Mozart and I'm interested in the result of your test. Please advise if you succeed to switch the SIM. If Yes, Please advise if your phone is SIMLOCKED and if it is branded.
Kind regards
Christophe

dualsim - how?

Sorry if this question already have been here.
I want to know if i can use with my device 2 sim-cards - one for gsm-calling and one for internet (3g) at the same time.
p.s. also sorry for my english, i'm just learning it in practice
No.
You can't use two sim cards simultaneously on desire.
Only one can be active at a time and to switch to the other you have to reboot the phone.
I use MagicSIM 3G DualSIM adapter.
Of course you cannot have both SIMs active. Well MagicSIM say something about this for their latest version, but I am using an older one.
But to switch, there is no need to reboot. Just switch in the STK menu (application that gets visible when the adapter is in the phone).
big thanks for replies, i will search for this magicSim adapter.

[Q] Problems with dual sim...

Hello! I have a problem, so I need you help me to kill it. I installed CM 12.0 in my I-9082, but now my phone can't recognize my two simcards. If I put one simcard, my phone works normally, but if I put the two simcards, appears a message: "Cellular network not avalaible". The signal of the simcards is not continue, it looks intermittent. So, I can't use my phone to call or to connect to mobile data. Can you help me? I hope this problem have a good solution. Excuse me for my bad English. Greetings from Colombia!

Issues with sim2 on s HTC one M8 dual sim

Hello
I hope this is the right place to ask and I feel at this point I have been searching Google dry over the past week.
I have a HTC one m8 with dual SIM, as I live in Sweden and work in Denmark, I have a Swedish tre.se in SIM1 and then a Danish 3.dk in SIM2
While I'm in Denmark, both SIM card works and connects to their network, but the second I enter Sweden, SIM2 won't find a connection.
I tried to switch the two cards, but then it's just the Swedish card in SIM2 that won't connect.
From what I have been able to Google , SIM2 should only be using 2g network, but this should be a problem for either of the subscriptions as far as I know.
Is there some special trick, setting or some I need to do to make it connect to 2g
It is original OS on it. I unfortunately can't root it, as my company mail will detect it and block my access. (Worx home by Citrix + touchdown)
What I have tested so far:
Factory reset of the phone.
New SIM card for both cards.
Activate and deactivate flight mode.
Deactivate and activate each SIM from the dual SIM manager.
Switch cards in slots (1->2 and 2->1).
Disable SIM1 ( SIM 2 still didn't connect)
I have also contacted each phone company, but they were to no use and just said it should work hehe
Any suggestions or ideas ? I'm open to all suggestions that doesn't involve getting another phone
Also this is not one of the cheap Chinese dual SIM versions.
Thanks
I may have managed to get a little closer to the cause.
It seems that SIM2 is actually only running over GSM / 2G for god knows what reason, and that is not supported by my phone company i Sweden, which is why it only works in Denmark.
I will try with another phone company called TDC and see if they have the same issues over there or else its bye bye useless dual sim
