I posted this message on spv-developers forums, but it seems there is noone willing to reply.
Hi guys, I am new and don't have any real smartphone experience.
Could you answer my simple question please?
I'm wondering if I can safely buy a new SPV c600 phone, remove simlock, and start writing .NET CF applications even when using *different* than Orange provider? Is it possible?
Basically I just don't really want to ask Orange to unlock something for me. I just wanna have the phone fully cracked since i am not Orange customer.
Thank you in advance for reply.

XDA11s
I have just bought the XDA11s and need it unlocked. can anyone help also having trouble setting up my rikaline navi receiver on the XDA11 it was easy put a patch on and when searched and set up it gave me an option to tick a box and allow it to use com 4. but this time with the XDA11s it wont do that and does not seem to find it. can anyone help with either problem. 07831 119047 will call you back. really apreciate some help.

All,
Ive been following several forums for the past couple of weeks, and this is defineitley the most helpful and informative on the XDA2S.
That siad, Im a noobie, so it doesnt all sink in straight away.
im on an 02 contract (locked -another story trying to get unlocked and one on which I'll keep you posted). Im seeing several posts which indiacte a rom upgrade would be useful to dispose of all the 02 customisation and improve performance - is there any truth in this, and if so, which ROM is the latest stable version, and where can I obtain it.
Secondly, I'd like to set up several email accounts, so I can synch with several PC's, including my corporate pc - is there a simple way to do this with profiles - the XDA user manual is thick, but very basic.
Finally, does anybody have a sim replicator for the XDA2S, and can they comment on its usefuleness. Im on 02 for personal calls, and Vodafone for corporate (and heavy email/internet usage), and woudl therefor benefit from the capability to change providers without ripping the battery out each time.
Many thanks in advance for your help and advice.

if eskimofisherman has an XDAiiS or blueangel, as he says.
not the unlock nor the romupgrade of zairyaab can be used.

Good Money To Anyone Who Can Sort Me Out
Hi I also have an XDAIIs with a PAY As You Go SIM, My Corporate network is Orange. I have been trying to get it unlock but no avail. Is someone working on an Unlock Tool? If so if someone could let me know that would be great.
I in the meantime I have been trying to connect to my Nokia6310 (Corporate Phone) via bluetooth to Browse the web and sync E-mail over orange GPRS. But unlike my HP4100 I don't get a connect to phone over bluetooth option. Within Bluetooth Manager. Are there some missing files? I am assuming o2 don't add it to the OS so that you don't browse using another network. Any help you be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
I can confirm its an O2 XDA 2S, aka blue angel. Ive tried calling O2 several times, explaining I want to use both networks, but they wont be budged.
Its now my personal mission to get the handset unlocked - and to distribute as wide and far as possible once completed.
XDA2s Unlock Question.
Hi,
does the xda manipulator program not work on the 2s??
xda Manipulator only works on XDA 1 and even then not always
As I am new to this forum and this xda, would somebody please tell me the best way to go about unlocking my XDA IIi so I can use it on the vodafone network. Thank you for your help....
Hiya,
I am also looking for the unlock so I can run Orange SIM.
Hiya
Only known ways at the moment are either using the pay Remote unlocking sites such as www.imei-check.co.uk which costs you £20 at least.
The other way is to phone O2 customer services (if your on O2 contract) who will provide you with an unlock key but it costs £15 and takes up to 6 weeks.
there is a thread in this section, where people are trying to crack the phone for a free unlock tool but as of yet there is no "free" way.

hi danny, i tried this with SIM in and with no SIM but doesn't help, still get the Simunlock program prompting me for network code.
Any more ideas?
This is only the procedure to enter the Bootloader mode on the XDA 2i
you still need to complete the other steps on www.imei-check.co.uk to unlock your phone , it requires running a program to extract some information which you then upload to www.imei-check.co.uk allong with your IMEI number, Photo ID and £20.

O2 Corporate settings
There are also some drawbacks, I had a problem with my O2 GPRS settings going awry.... but managed to for is myself....
O2 Data support told me that I had to do a hard reset.... yeah right !
o2 Data Support are, in my experience, a joke. However, counting a former DS guy as a friend of mine, it isn't normally due to any lacking of understanding on their part. If anything they seem constrained in what they can do by o2.
Yeah the GPRS settings are handy, but if you search on these forums for them it is often hard to find the definitive setup details. We could still use an FAQ section...talk about that seems to have died again, despite my (amongst many others) offer of help to set these up.
Cheers

you need to add the vodafone access points, install the cab that i have attach, and select your country and provider, the apps automatically will setup the access point for you, its network wizard from htc, after installling it, go to settings/coonnections/network wizard.
