After I partition my SD Card, I been trying to transfer (drag & drop)files to the card and some how it seems not to be writing the files, I even try deleting files and as I open the card with Root Explorer the files are still there like nothing have ever happens. whats the issue, please any help would be appreciated. What I need to do.
Do you have access to a card reader? It is likely that you need to format the card, even repartition it.
So today i wanted to flash an old backup to my desire, but when i tried to restore, CWM couldnt find the sd card (i get no such file or directory)
Its wierd becouse i tried 2 different cards and they both work in android but fail to mount in CWM.
Any ideas how to fix this ?
Do you have a card reader to test the SD card? I had a simular problem, had to delete and completely re-partition my card
Yes i have a card reader and they work fine in there.Ill try to format both card tommorow and if it doesnt help ill flash original RUU and reroot it.
Hopefully then i can get CWM to find my cards.
I'm in a world of hurt and hoping someone has a solution for me!
I took my SD Card out of my phone & plugged it into my laptop. I then took all the files from my SD card and dragged them into a folder. Next I deleted those files from the SD card so I could use it for another purpose.
After I finished this process I got rid of what I had put on the SD card for the other purpose & dragged all the Android files from that temp folder back to my SD card.
Now my phone won't recognize my SD card. The card will not mount and when I boot my phone I get a message that says "blank SD card". When I click on that message it prompts me to reformat my SD card and warns me that everything on it will be lost.
So what I'm wondering is: can I reformat the card, plug it back into my laptop, drag the files back to the SD card and all will be well?
Or is there something else I need to do?
Or am I screwed?
I even tried a CWM restore...but the restore is on the SD card so that obviously isn't an option.
At any rate, I really need some help here and I'm hoping someone can provide some guidance and direction for me.
Thanks!

Yes, format the card inside the phone then put everything back on it.
Do you BONSAI?
Worked great!
Is there a way to copy SD card files while in recovery I'm using TWRP.
My SD card is unreadable getting error SD card damaged try reformatting. Ive connected my phone to PC but it doesnt see SD card.
When I'm in TWRP I can see all my files. If I could just copy them to PC I could reformat without losing my data.
Thanks for your help
Hello,
I did erease my sd card by accident but that was a stupid thing to do. Now i cant use it anymore like before my pc dousnt recognize it anymore and i did try to make a new partition but it wont work. Could someone help me to fix this? i tryed to format it again and made new partitions but that would not work.
thx
I can use the card nw but stil cant mount the sdcard via recovery CWM
And is it normal that my rom is installed on the internal storage instead f the sd card?
Yes it's normal and the only option. Why do you need to mount in cwm and how do you know it's not mounted?
After installing ROM, PC "readable" part of SD card has to be fat32 partition, and that's what you see as "SD card".

If I helped, please hit the Thanks...
