I have Ipaq 6515. The ROM is GERMAN 1.25. How can I flash an English ROM into the device? I tried to flash the English ROM from www.hp.com , but it said "incorrect language." I downloaded http://www.filefarmer.com/2/dmc8742/6515update112GER.rar from http://mobilitytoday.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11243&page=6. It flashed the device, but the ROM stayed German, but the version changed from 1.06 to 1.25.

I know that this forum is all about XDA's, but as you guys seems to be very experienced on this field I thought that I could get some help.
I have a Toshiba e400 PocketPC. Its rom is in French and I need to change it to English.
The problem is that I cannot update it because the bootloader does not let me.
I've download both ROM WM2003 and WM2003SE in english from Toshiba's website (both downloads came with the ROM image and the bootloader itself).
When I try to update it whith the "flash" tool that toshiba provides it says to use the line "-xlng" that was supposed to ignore the ROM language and install it anyway but it does do anything, because the bootloader language is in french.
I need to find a way to install a new bootloader and then I could be able to install this new ROM.
Do you guys knows any bootloader program that may let me install this new bootloader?

please try to find for me an e330 or e335 as I need to read the flash. I will tell you what you have to do. Just try to help me. I have a german version of e330 and I need to change in english. But I dont have english version from it.
When flashing ipaq from german to english, I would run the flash program, with the an english ipaq in cradle, then when the program asked me to enter bootloader I would substitute the german one and it would flash no problems.

but i can`t dump the ROM.
i use the awizrad tools,it can`t unlock the cid.

I have just updated the official english rom into my Diamond. Then install a Chinese system (from Studio KUMA "小熊工作室"), but fail to reboot. Please help.
you mean a chinese rom?
you can't install a different language rom on your phone
(before changing the language code)

You can use Mirage updator and wm6.1 i780 PDXIB1 update on m480/m4800. But you have to flash all of parts:boot, pda, phone.
Also you have to find original firmare parts of m4800 if you want to flash back.
My i780 was running on m480 official korean rom with minor issues. I have flashed all parts of korean firmware..
i780 and m480/4800 are 98% same in hardware.. not 100%
