Hi Guys,
I know that this forum is all about XDA's, but as you guys seems to be very experienced on this field I thought that I could get some help.
I have a Toshiba e400 PocketPC. Its rom is in French and I need to change it to English.
The problem is that I cannot update it because the bootloader does not let me.
I've download both ROM WM2003 and WM2003SE in english from Toshiba's website (both downloads came with the ROM image and the bootloader itself).
When I try to update it whith the "flash" tool that toshiba provides it says to use the line "-xlng" that was supposed to ignore the ROM language and install it anyway but it does do anything, because the bootloader language is in french.
I need to find a way to install a new bootloader and then I could be able to install this new ROM.
Do you guys knows any bootloader program that may let me install this new bootloader?

please try to find for me an e330 or e335 as I need to read the flash. I will tell you what you have to do. Just try to help me. I have a german version of e330 and I need to change in english. But I dont have english version from it.
When flashing ipaq from german to english, I would run the flash program, with the an english ipaq in cradle, then when the program asked me to enter bootloader I would substitute the german one and it would flash no problems.

I found the Zinc Eng WM6 Rom already, but is there any brother can teach me how to flash the rom, since my Zinc is chinese version, when I start the Eng Rom, it will prompt "Cross Language" and then can't upgrade, please help!!!
Now I was fixed it, change the Rom from chinese to english. Thank you for mazi_v help.

Yes. I download the English Rom from mwg. But my device comes with Chinese version no it normally does not allow me to flash it to different language version. Please help if you know some special procedure to flash to different language version.
dunno bout cross language upgrading ... u can try with the mwg rom
anybody know how to flash the traditional chinese rom into english one? i downloaded an english rom,but it's not allowed to proceed, simply saying:current rom is cht, can not flash into en.....

I have a asus P552w With a french wm6.1 version and i want to put a portuguese version, is that possible? what should i do?
You'll need to flash the firmware with a portugese rom.
I don't think Asus has released the official ROM @ ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Mobile_Phone/
but try searching for it on XDA -- i'm sure someone has it

I'm not sure about the P552w but on my P750 there's an alternative key sequence to force the boot loader and allow you to install (3rd party / different language roms)
On the P750 you push down instead of up on the joystick (with the other combination of keys) there should be some other ones

I currently have TG01 in French and i have also installed SPB Mobile shell 3.0 in English. But still the menu's inside messaging and all are in French. How to globally to change it to English. Even if i change it in regional settings to English it doesn't work.

surely if you had a registry editor installed you could edit lang settings?, or even try global settings

Toshiba TG01 WM6.5 Voice Quality Issues
Does anyone know how to edit the registries of a TG01 updated with WM6.5 for better voice quality. Everyone is complaning that my voice cuts in and out while I talk. This wasn't a problem on older builds of 6.1. I think it may be background noise reduction software being too sensitive? Or perhaps something else. I'd love any suggestions on what setting to change and to what input.

you can flash another WWE (WorldWideEnglish) ROM on your phone. read the cRaCKwHoRe's Blackstone Flashing Tutorial, read it one more time and then give it a try. you'll need a laptop/computer to complete the task. good luck!
