Hello again....
I have been able to update my QTEK9090 in certain way, which with himself not to do in connecting this machine with my Palm TREO650 by Bluetooth.
When connecting it gives it to me a connection error; that it says:
BTWizardsProfiles
The device does not offer any usable services. Please enable any desired services on that device or choose another one.
Desire to know if some person has been able to connect these two machines by bluetooth and or since I can do it, since the configurations in both machines are correct.
Thank.

hello all-
i am stubbornly trying to get my ppc-6600 to be able to browse network shares. i can FTP and activesync to my hearts content via bluetooth, but network access only works once and then flakes out, requiring a hard reset to work again, thus eliminating any convenience of wireless connections. i have tried various stacks from this forum, with little success. i am currently running the toshiba stack, but i can hardly tell any difference, because the "about" section in bt settings still refers to broadcom. however, i do have a new option in network cards that is toshiba.
anyway, is there anyone who has had consistent success with this on a phone like mine (blue angel?) i have seen some references to some other models, but not this one.
tia!
okay, so i take it i am the only one with any interest in this??
Hi,
I have the Orange SPV M2000 with TuMa 1.3 rom set onboard. I'm trying to get my device to talk with my new Macbook using third party software from The Missing Sync. It is listed as working with WM2005 devices such as M5000 but i cannot get it to work with my BA. It seems to revolve around its inability to list activesyncing via BT as one of the BT services available. I have been in touch with the Missing Sync guys but no joy as yet. Any thoughts here?
The process sugested by Missing Sync is to set up a new BT partnership via the activesync tool on the BA. The two devices recognise each other and even seem to pair but after that no joy. Apparantly Activesync should be listed as a BT service but it isn't...
Really appreciate any help on this one.
I tried several times but I cannot sync my new XDA Orbit via Bluetooh. ActiveSync does not find my device although I did it the help-file told (choose the right COM-port). Could the reason be that I am using the WIDCOMM BT driver instead of the pre-installed standard Win XP-driver?
Same problem
Hi all. A have the samу problem with connection activesybc via bluetooth. When a want o connect my device say me that is no partnership to connect. What a reason. No posts about this a find

Hi.
May I know where you got your Widcomm BT stack for the Artemis?
Thanks
no. my artemis has a standard build in bluetooth drivers but for the first time i had aproblem whit them
I had this problem trying to sync with my Dell PC using its built in bluetooth hardware and the Widcomm stack. No luck at first, but I solved it by uninstalling the Widcomm stack in device manager, then allowing XP to re-discover the hardware and to install the alternative Microsoft stack. (XP SP2 only).
With XP handling the bluetooth, I had no problem pairing with the Artemis using instructions from here - http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=3163 .
Syncing is now straightforward.

Okay, I've scanned the entire website and visited your links, I still cannot set up a bluetooth partnership with my P3300 and my laptop.
I'm using D-link DBT-122.. and it just doesnt connect.
What am I missing?
No one has any ideas?
Had to bump it because its frustrating to not be able to sync via bluetooth.
Anyone wid ANY ideas whatsoever?
I just managed to advance a bit on this path:
Thanx to a Hazymat over on xda-dev I managed to get it all working, his guide, for anyone else finding this:-
1) On your computer, go into bluetooth settings. Check bluetooth is ON and set to discoverable. Add an incoming COM port, eg. COM5.
2) On ActiveSync on your computer, go into connection settings. Tick all the boxes. If the COM port is greyed out, untick it, close the settings box, go back in, now tick it and set the COM port to eg. COM5.
3) On the K Jam go into bluetooth settings, and remove the connection to your computer.
4) On your K Jam go into ActiveSync, click 'menu' > 'connect via bluetooth' then you should see a message saying 'cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports ActiveSync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?'
5) Click YES - you are taken to the Bluetooth settings screen.
6) Now click 'new partnership. As soon as you do this, the K Jam will search, and as long as your computer has bluetooth discoverable turned on, your computer will eventually be displayed. Check the computer name showing on the K Jam is the same as the name you gave the bluetooth profile on your computer.
7) On K Jam, click your computer name then NEXT.
Now enter a passcode - any four digit number (remember it) then next
9) When you do this, your computer will pop up with a message saying "a bluetooth device is requesting authorisation". Open this message and type in the code that you gave the K Jam. The next screen on the computer will tell you that it was successful - click FINISH.
10) Back on the K Jam, the screen will now be showing the services available. AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOWED STEP 1 and 2, ActiveSync will be an option, and you need to tick this and press FINISH on the K Jam.
11) Close bluetooth settings, now in ActiveSync screen click MENU > Connect via bluetooth. Your ActiveSync program on the computer should eventually pop up and connect.
The only port you worry about is the incoming pc one. Active Synch does the rest. You must see acitivesync as a service when you connect. I did not see it until I updated my Toshiba Bluetooth stack from thier website. Creating other ports can stop the synch from working.

The PC has an adapter managed by Widcomm stack (5.5.0.3200, latest so far). Only the "ActiveSync" service is set up as "Automatic", therefore immediately available. ActiveSync is version 4.5.
I do everything anew as instructed, my Hermes sees only the "ActiveSync" remote service. Sometimes it may stubbornly offer the "Serial Port" instead but after a few retries (yes, everything anew!) the correct service is seen. So far so good.
Then I create an outgoing port with same name as on PC. COM5 is apparently optimal at both sides. The PDA begins synchronization, the "Connected" sound is heard from PC... and almost immediately is followed by the "Disconnected" sound. The PDA additionally explains: "port is not available".
If I now refresh services visible via this partnership, the "ActiveSync" is replaced by "Wireless Stereo", "Serial Port" (checked), "Dialup Networking" and "Headset". This is a dead end. The stack on the PC somehow remembers this state and the correct choice of services won't be available anymore.
From now on I can do everything anew repeatedly, and if succeeded, all I get is that quick disconnection.
After installing the older v5.1.0.5600 stack the behaviour changed a bit. Instead of connecting/disconnecting an error message appears: "Synchronization cannot be completed successfully". Reinstalled the newer one, the appropriate behaviour returned.
Had no luck with the M$ stack altogether. The laptop manufacturer doesn't offer the Q323183 separately. Even if it is already included in SP2, I still must provide the kernel-mode drivers. The older Widcomm stack has them in a separate directory but they fail to install. Moreover I read somewhere that the M$ stack allegedly supports ActiveSync at a cost of absent RFCOMM support, and the latter is of paramount importance for me. Perhaps I'm destined to use cable (no problems with it).
Someone at experts-exchange.com states:
There are 2 major issues with activesync 4.x
1 - You cannot sync wirelessly
2 - You cannot sync via cable/cradle when the wifi card is active. If you are connected to a wireless network I would suggest you delete the connection and then try re-syncing.
If you do not need the latest version I would suggest you rollback to version 3.8 unless the above limitations dont affect you or you absolutely need the latest version.

If that only were an official M$ statement... And regarding older ActiveSync versions, those didn't work at all for me, as far as I remember.
Hi, I own an Asus P535 with the WM6 rom update. I love this device and almost never had any problems with it (compared to the amount of problems my friend had with his X500).
Unfortunately, I am unable to connect any bluetooth HID device to it. I never tried this with WM5 so I'm not sure if the update might be the reason (although I believe it is). I tried to connect 3 MS bluetooth mouses (I know I cant use it as a cursor, but I should still be able to connect to it) and my Sony W810i phone (It has a mouse and keyboard service) but after I create the shortcut to the service and click on it, I get the connect to a keyboard wizard and it always ends up with a "Bluetooth keyboard not found!" message.
I really need this service to work properly. I want to be able to control my P535 while I'm driving without reaching to it (voice command, music and navigation). Plus I'm afraid to buy a portable bluetooth keyboard since it might not work with my all in one device.
Can someone please suggest a solution or at least a reason?
Thanks guys!
Hi all,
i am runing my trinity with WM6 and AX3l's rom. my issue is that i cant connect to my car stereo which is a pioneer DEH-P55. My trinity see's the stereo and gives the option for hands free but the stereo cant detect the trinity. my device is visible to others but the stereo wont pick it up. Any suggestions for a fix on this would be appreciated.
thanks

maybe you have to push a button on your radio to activate first time pairing, that was the solution for my bluetooth headset.
(pairing from both sides)
just a suggestion, maybe it helps.
Try the Jetware bluetooth extension it has a 30 day trial and worked for my Alpine headunit its at http://www.jetwaremobile.com/
Thanks for the replies, but still no luck. I can pair other phones to the stereo but not this. Are there any settings that i may need to activate on the device that i am missing? its abit infuriating as i need to get this up and running as soon as.

activated "receive all incoming beams" ? its in settings/connections/beam
its already activated stormyb but thanks again for helping.
I always had problems using bt and irda...
I never succeed send/receive any file using my pc (my pc irda always worked fine with others devices). Beam enabled on commManager and on settings "receive all incoming beams".
When I try to connect (pair) using (htc) BT I get this error: the connection failed or the passcode is incorrect...
---
One time I tried to send a file to a nokia phone and I needed 30 min to succeed: restart phone, restart BT, restart beam, restart phone, restart nokia, restart BT, restart, restart, ....
Now I'm using the radio 1.46.00.11, rom eLiAs2.11wwe (before I was radio 1.38 and udk rom) and when I pair from htc, on pc I don't receive the pin request. If I pair from pc, I see the request for pin no htc but when I type it: "the connection failed or the passcode is incorrect".
Only one time I was succeed pair (and saved on device list), I typed 3 times the pin code, but after I can't transfer files...
From pc, I see the htc on the device list, if I try the ftp service, htc ask me: "xxx wants to connect with your device using bluetooth. Do you want to add XXX to your device list?" I answer yes but when I insert the pin, the pc give to me this error: "error establishing the connection"
If i try the voice gateway, after type the pin on htc I get this error on pc:
"the remote device closed the connection"
Using this last rom, when I try beam a file, I can't see my pc irda (using the udk rom I can to see but without success), I only see my pc BT but always "failed" the connection.
Nobody has the same problem?!
What bluetooth comms are you using, windows or Widcomm's?
I installed widcomm onto my laptop as I was suffering the same problems as you mention and I couild not get a bluetooth serial port setup either, once installed and restarted the pc then I just powered up both BT's and set the phone to visable and the laptop found it straight away with all the services and could setup the serial port.
I seem to recall there are numerous problems with most BT's when using the default windows drivers etc..
HTH's
hi, I'm using widcomm...
I didn't test again a bt headphone, but I have problems trying to connect to a nokia phone for example (n95, n73).
The irda never works... I tried too with a nokia phone and a remote control software for wm6... nothing...
All ok using headset BT...
I installed blueSoleil BT driver and now it is ok.
same ppc, same rom, same problem with my bt bury in the car and with other ppl's triyng to bt connect to my ppc. i can "see" them they can "see" me but there is no transmission TO me. I can send.
i am using the bt phone (bury) but onlt when I initiate the connection. i think it's a rom bug.
