Well I think you cannot reply properly without the Softbank Mail. Before I was using that CRAP software from Softbank and I could reply to phone numbers... but I got tired of that CRAP and I installed MMS Lite. Now I can only reply if I know the [email protected] account...
I guess the application from Softbank does some mapping number/MMS mail...
Maybe I'm wrong, but until now I cannot reply to phone numbers in MMS Lite...
Edit: If I have to reply, I use SMS... I prefer to do that than install again that CRAP from softbank...
Is Softbank MMS working side-by-side with MMS Lite?
And, I read from a site, it says that each phone number actually has own sms address and mms address like [email protected] for text and [email protected] for mms (xxx is phone number). Is that true? If yes, it could be a way out.
I am trying to find the above format for Peoples user (Hongkong)..but no luck yet.
Double posted .. sorry

I don't think so, at least in Japan. I'm sure that the account used for MMS is the same that for email. Maybe internally in the Softbank servers they have that kind of translation, but not sure. Softbank doesn't support MMS Lite officially, and I guess the mapping Phone Number to MMS account is made in the Softbank servers...
Have you tried installing the mms client from Softbank??? can it connecto to your network in Hong Kong???
No, I am in Japan and using Softbank network. I'm trying to send mms to my friends who is using Peoples in Hongkong. As far as I know, they just use number, not [email protected]. Yea, the convert must be done in softbank server. I hope somebody in this forum know it (if this simple generalization applied). I haven't installed softbank mms software. well it was installed already but I never see it since I flashed it at the first day into English based on guidance for gaijin in this forum

Try to reply with something like this: [email protected]_domain... In some countries they do that by default... e.g. [email protected] or something like that... anyway it is better to request their MMS accounts to your friends..
Actually I did try what you suggested, but it failed. I think there must be some additional characters on the domain, like [email protected] or something. Unfortunatelly, they, my friends, don't know anything about it. They just use number.

If they can send an email from their cellphones, that account should be the mms account... Tell them to send u an email to any email address u have...
In the US, any number @teleflip.com will go to that phone number, regardless of the carrier.
i.e. [email protected]
And it's FREE!
.:Christian:.
Yea, I think so for others Lidberg. However, I just cannot find Peoples domain. It's not Peoples.com.hk, like its site.
found a way to do it. first reply the sender and dun press sent. but save it to the draft . and from draft move it to the outbox. it will automatically sent to the sender
I am able to send and receive MMS messages, but when I send a picture message to someone who does not have a smartphone, they are unable to see the attached picture.
I tried changing the user agent, etc, but it isn't helping. Any suggestions? I'm using a TMOUS G2 w- Cyanogen 6.1.1...
I've been trying to setup the phone to send and receive MMS's without success until now.
I've tried to use the default APN's, I have edited the APN's to the correct ones, I have switched the SIM cards, etc.. etc... and no success... Everytime I send an MMS it just says: "Sending...", "Resending...", "Failed...".. When I receive an MMS, its the same, the downloading always fails.
I have 2 Oppo's R819 in my home, and both have the same problem.. The SIM cards I'me using have no problems with MMS's on other phones, I just cand send or receive on my new Oppo R819...
Can anyone help me to solve this?
As of today my MMS fail soon as I hit send. Get two pop ups saying multimedia messages not supported by network and server response error. I'm in CT but I had a friend in NY who also has the Note 2 try send me one and his failed too. Was able to send myself one from an HTC One M7 no problem.
Edit: nevermind. The issue was that the person I was sending the MMS to lost his phone and had to swap to an old palm treo 755p and I guess it can't receive mms on the new network..
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Free mobile app
I can't seem to send MMS at all. Regardless of which app I use, be it stock, google or other messaging, or if I have wifi on or off, MMS just does not send. I'm on firmware 2.19.40.22, rooted , unlocked and all that jazz.
Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Thanks.

If it is from the 2nd sim card you can't use mobile internet so can't send MMS as it needs that.

Only using the 1st sim card. Forgot to mention that sorry.
Edit:
When I do try to send an MMS though I always get the toast message saying Sim 2 doesn't support MMS even though I'm sending through Sim 1. Don't know if that is significant or not.
My sim1 sometime doesn't connect to network, i can't receive call.

Sounds like it's trying to use sim 2 to send MMS, not sim 1. I generally get MMS sent when it uses the correct sim...

I got the SIM 2 message even when it used SIM 1 to send the MMS, and the MMS sent fine using the stock app.
I would recommend resetting your APN settings.

I went into APN settings and hit restore defaults and that didn't work. I adjusted the MMS settings to the one suggested by my provider and still nothing. Actually now when I try to send an mms it says no APN specificed on device. Don't know if this is better or worse then before when it would just attempt to send for 10 minutes then fail.
So I went to my provider and got them to redo the APN settings for MMS and still no luck sending. Can anyone help?
So has anyone found an answer to this? I've updated to the 139 firmware and still not working. It will work sometimes if my wifi is off though, but I want to solve this if I can.
I just got my ZE551ML two weeks ago and can't send MMS with the stock app. so I called ASUS today and talked to someone about it. the woman said they will email me once they look into it. Well, we'll see but I really don't want to use google messenger or other when I paid for this one. I'll post the results if they give me something :Rolls Eyes:
