i have a PH20b MDA III and i was wondering if anybody knows of a hack or something that will force every incoming call num to be displayed instead of unknown caller..
i am using cingular service.
running windows moblie 2003 se.
any and all help is greatly apriciateted!!
incoming number is hidden by network/service provider. the phone simply shows what's provided to it.

Flash back to your stock WM 5.0 rom provided by your carrier, it's in the Wiki.
Its the same.
Do you mean UMTS/3G? HSDPA should only be active momentarily and only while downloading data.

where do you live and who is your carrier provider?
in my countery there is same problem but it's a carrier problem.
if your carrier sale this device you can asked them
Which Mobile network in which country.
Maybe we should make a list in the wiki of networks which are having problems with calls when in HSDPA mode?

I have the same problem with Movistar in Spain. No problem with calls over the 3G/UMTS connection though. But as was previously said the HSPDA is only used when transfering data so this doesn´t effect me too much. However this can be problem when you are using skype or push mail which transfers data on a regular basis. I´ve tried other Radios but the same problem and Movistar can only suggest disconnecting before making a call eek: ), which is helpful!
same here... dutty v2... i use push email via live mail... and get droped calls... or people not riching me.... 1.40 radio... ORANGE RO

I do have 3 in Sweden and have exactly the same problems here
i get this too. vodafone UK on black 3. ended up turning HSPDA off
I'm on "3" in Denmark and have the same problem.
It should be noted that Nokia phones can do HSPDA and receive calls, so while I'm sure it's carrier related, it must be a mixture of the carrier and the Hermes...
I have switched HSPDA off but tries it every time I flash a new ROM or new radio. Has never worked since WM5 and am now on newest LVSW ROM with same result...

YES ! I updated with last LVSW elf edition , radio 1.41.00.10 , i put my operator settings manualy and i can receive calls when i m is HSPDA. The phone switch to 3g when receive or doing a call !!!

cool.. but do you know if it was the radio rom update or the OS which did it? can anyone else confirm?
its a known network problem.

we have a cellular operator here in israel that is currently busy fixing it...
contact your network operator.
i have been using LVSW's ROM & sleuth version and when connected to the PC using the device's internet sharing apps with HSDPA connection, still I am able to receive & make calls.. no problem ..also when the device itself is connected to the internet (with HSDPA mode on).. no problem pertaining calls..
I am in Malaysia & on the celcom network..
just thought of sharing my experience here..

I had the same prob. Updated to Radio 1.41 and..........
......yes, still have the same problem. Pretty sure it was OK on Black 2.5

I have a big problem with satin.
I live in italy, carrier Telecom Italia Mobile aka Tim.
His helpdesk number is 119.
With satin, and many radio roms (1.43, 1.46, 1.47, 1.48 )when i make a call to my carrier helpdesk, hermes "read" this number as emergency call and call the police station!!!!
There is any registry setting to change it????

How do I use MMS and Internet via the mobile network? T-Mobile told me, it is impossible and it is only possible with their MDA Compact 3 version, but not with an HTC version. I can't believe this.
Can anyone help me?
An T-Mobile technician helped me, to do all settings. The GPRS connection seems to work, but sending an MMS is impossible...
The best is, they even told me, that with an unbranded original HTC unit it is impossible, too.
What is your opinion to this?
The T-Mobile image is not usable, because they use a different hw-revision without WLAN...

Hi
I am developping a GSM application who needs to receive a GSM data call, made a data connection and send and receive data.
The problem with this PDA is that a GSM data call is received as a video call, a incoming video call window appears and even if I push over answer buttom, the connection is lost.
Is there any way to communicate two HTC Diamond via GSM?
I have installed 1.40.OliNex and Diamond_Radio_1.00.25.05 but it still doesn't work.
