with 2003se themes could be stored in the My Documents on the storage card but now with WM5 it seems this is not true, they must be in the root of the SD?! I'd rather not just dump piles of files there if at all possible.. is there a registry fix for the search path?

B&B 4.1, audiomanager not able to find mp3s in storage card
the ROM works great! many thanks to tom.
just discovered a bug that the audio manager isn't able to find mp3s in the actual storage card.
from the file explorer, the actual microSD card has been renamed to "Storage Card2", and there is a system created folder: "Storage Card", which contains some IE temp files and email files.
hope someone can fix that. thanks.
Also, can anyone give me some advice on some kind of software that will allow the ORBIT to show "running app" on the "today screen", which is one of the O2 plugins. THANKS again.

Hi
I just installed pdaviet wm6 to my hx2410, battery drawing is not a problem for me, but as I found, wm6 use ipaq file store instead or RAM, for protection of files lost when battery is out. But this make whole system many times slower, can I switch wm6 to handle with files as old 2003SE and store files in RAM and totally disable ipaq files store?
thanks
no well a bit
with wm5 ms changed where storage was places from ram to flash
there is no way around that
but there are ramdisk tools which let the user use some of the ram for storage of files and programs
pity.... I was satisfied with 2003SE, the only problem was missing support for Wifi AES crypting. I will try install back 2003SE and put wifi dlls to windows folder...
Anyone can tell me what files exactly are "Utility" (2.27) and "Library" (2.34)?
You see it in wifi -> Manager
I like to copy these files from WM6 to Win 2003SE
thanks
problem is that windows mobile's driver model changed with wm5
so wm5/6 cant use wm2003 drivers and virsa versa
Is there a registry tweak that will allow for the creation of additional folders in to store SMS ?
Great ROM... thanks
Also... the very cool looking vista taskbar that SVOM and others are using, any ideas where to grab that... I have searched but to no success.
Thanks again

I want to know witch registry value controls the Program Folder for "Program Files" because in German Roms (0407) the Program Files are stored in \Programme\ which causes Problems with the most wm6.5 Titanium Plugins
Settings in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Explorer\Shell Folders]
"Program Files"="\\Program Files"
dosen't do anything i think!!
Hope someone can help
Thanks
Trying out different roms, is it normal to have 9,000 files in the Windows directory? If not, how can i wipe completely everything and get a fresh start on my Tilt 2? Have done plenty of Hard resets....thanks guys
Do a hard reset, instructions in the Wiki
And please donĀ“t forget to vote for Rhodium!!
Wait, you have over 9000 files? (I couldn't resist)
In all seriousness, it's normal to have a lot of files in \Windows, especially if you have Manila built into the ROM (as that alone consists of a few thousand files).
I guess it depends on the ROM you are using and the software you have installed.
The \Windows folder on NRG Manila 2.1 roms holds about 3000+ files after a fresh start. This is obviously not counting files from sub-folders under \Windows.
I suspect you might be calculating the total files uder \Windows including Sub-folders.
While on the subject, is there anyway that ROM chef's could move most of those files into additional sub-folders to clear up some of the clutter under \Windows especially the manilla files which amount to A LOT!
..thanks for al your reponses guys. i guess its just the stock reconstructed warranty rom on the Tilt2 that has all those files in win direct. Moved to the "PC PRO Series v4 Standard with HTC 3G DIALER(manila 2.1 only)" all those files are gone..like DaveTheTytnIIGuy said the manila built.
Thanks again, have a great day
