PLEASE HELP to revive dead e-ten. HAVE MERCY! - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi guys. I know I know, wrong place, but maybe some one here could help too! Just maybe.. You guys are very smart peps here. You've helped me with many XDA's I own. And I'm just hoping you wouldn't let me down this time too. Any way I’ve killed my eten (typhoon my guide m500 German) and hoping some one could help me to bring it back to life. Please understand that I have exhausted all my resources in order to find the solution my self but came up empty handed. I have read every single post in this forum as well as few others in order to find the solution. And now I am hoping that some one could help. I may have overlooked some little but important piece of info. Please except my apologies if this request may be annoying.
This is what happened and what I’ve done about it.
I’ve got Typhoon MyGuide m500 (E-Ten m500) Original rom was German.
The reason I say “was” is since I had german OS that I can’t read it I wanted to flash the device with WWE Rom. But the device would not accept any other rom and at the time of reflashing through RUU, I get message “the os image is not compatible with your device”. I understand a lot of people have this problem, but still, some succeed. I have tried all the possible roms that are available there. I’m sure you’ve heard that before too Finally I’ve succeeded in flashing CHT WM2003 rom that came with WM 5 Rom update for downgrade purposes. But, I can’t read chinese either so I tried to flash wwe at this time. Hoping that chinese rom would allow upgrades in different language. But the upgrade went bad I’ve ended up with formatted e-ten with no OS installed. It was only showing white screen when turned on or it would boot into boot loader when soft reset and power was pressed.
At that time, since the device would not boot and I couldn’t active sync it, I’ve tried SD flashing with RescueDLX.bin. As well USB download utility. It flashed the device, but I was stuck at the green m500 screen when tried booting. So that didn’t work either. I’ve tried SD flashing with temp.dat saved as .bin from all possible roms, including the first chineese that worked once for me. But again, I got “the os image is not compatible with your device”
Well, here is where I’ve screwed up big time. Since the rescueDLX.bin was actually flashing into my device, and I was not getting “the os image is not compatible with your device” message, I’ve opened the rescueDLX.bin with Hex Editor, copied first 400 bytes of the header, then using Hex Editor opened the temp.dat from WWE rom update that I wanted to use and pasted this 400 bytes from rescuedlx.bin over the first 400 bytes of temp.dat file and saved it as a bin. Then copied on SD card, put it in the device, entered into the boot loader and started flashing process. Amazingly, I didn’t get the “the os image is not compatible with your device” message! But worst thing happened The boot loader was going through all the check lists and everything was ok but device froze at the last one, “looking for FPTP” or something like that.. Apperantly I copied to much stuff or it just plain incompatible. Well, now my device would not even load into the boot loader! I think I’ve erased it too So no more updating for me, that is for a sure not through RUU, not through USB Update Utility that I found on etens forum, and not even through SD with devices internal boot loader. There isn’t one anymore
So here we go, I’ve got really nice looking paper weight Oh, and I can use it as a flash light too When turned on, the screen lights up with bright white light
So any way, can any body help?! Is there any way to revive this thing? Or the road is straight to manufacturer? I don’t think I even have a warranty on this device; it’s in brand new condition, but its second hand. So I have only one hope that some smart gurus of this forum would show mercy and would help! Like I said, I’ve researched all over the internet, all forums, even xda developers and spv developers forums, but this is different device. Deferent rules… But I know it’s doable, I’ve seen posts that others did it! So please, share how you guys did it!
Thank you in advance. And sorry for such a long post!

Stuck in Bootloader, need help.

First I'd just like to thank everyone in this community that helps me have the coolest and most useful device around. This forum is a wealth of information and there's no way I can describe how much I appreciate the work all of you put in. I do however have a problem that I am hopeful to help get resolved.
I installed LVSW 3.30 Cingular on my phone last night and it had been working fine although earlier I noticed that my ringtones seemed to be stuttering. When I got home today I started to add my programs back to my device since I didnt have a chance to last night. I started with Spb Pocket Plus, Weather, and Phone Suit, and Core Media Player.I then soft reset the device to complete installation and..... I can't get out of bootloader!
I tried soft-reseting the device with the hold ok/power button stylus method, then tried taking the battery out and in. That left me in bootloader. I then tried reinstalling LVSW 3.30 incase I had a bad install the first time but after install finished it stayed in bootloader where I repeated the soft reset. I then consulted the Wiki and tried the method for problem 4, "stuck in bootloader" to no avail. I've also been unable to find a like problem on the forum. I figure I probably have a bad boot sector or something to that effect but dont know how to resolve it. I have a Herm100 SPL-2.10 Hard SPL. I thank anyone in advance who can help me recover my device and sincerely apologize if I missed this topic already being covered.
Here is the thread you need to fix the problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286755

Universal Imate JasJar broke after error code 120 - Message USB Device not recognized

Help Help, please, I need your help please,
I am really new to this forum. I have been reading a long time the forum, and see evolution of cooked rom. I love the Tomal version 8.2 19960 that was on my Jasjar Imate. When I try to put the Vanillla version 8.2 I think that I mismatch myself, and unfortunately I should get back when I saw the error code 120. What I did, I say yes, and now have a blank screen. Nothing happens. Badly again, again, I have seen before this message USB on top and 2.01 on the bottom, but after I pull out the battery and change for another, I cannot connect anymore the device to the computer. It gives me this message <USB device not recognized> or < Windows cannot recognize a device attaching to you computer>. I kept trying all times, and now that this message, I have on my computer.
I think I did break my device myself, or I have all my stuffs in it, my passwords, my agendas, my contacts and so on.
Howw can anybody help me get out of this mess and recover my device. Please, I need help. Your help please.
Gerard
Universal Imate JasJar broke after error code 120 - Message USB Device not recognize
Thanks to post already done in this forum. I searched and brwosed all <USB not recognized> installed many utilities but without success. Finally, I discover the post < Instructions for those stuck on Boot Screen (UNI_exitbootloader> in wiki.xda-developers.com and I get results, my device has been come to life again, it was RESURRECTED.
I follow exactly, that the solutions, I tried before, but in panic and in a hurry you could miss to steps and to pay attention to the instructions, but I retry again and again and finally it did work. And I put the Tomal 8.2 19960 again on my Imate jasJar and bingo, it works.
For sure, I have not seen the blue screen <clubimate> again, but a black screen, and at the bottom te version 1.15 radio, 8.2 TML and so on, but it doesn't matter, I am so glad to see all the functions come again to life, and put my sbp backup and bingo, I do have all my data and software back, as I take precautions allways to make a backup two days ago with sbp.
MANY THANKS TO XDA-DEVELOPERS; TO XDA DEVOPERS WIKI, AND TO THE PERSONS OR THE TEAM THAT FOCUS ON ANSWERS TO HELP PEOPLE LIKE ME AND OTHERS get out freely and sincerely to theirs problems.
I hope this post will help others to keep visiting and searching xda-developers for solutions of their device needs.
All the best

Invalid Tool Error

So..my phone is rather useless at the moment. Won't load the rom after freezing up while i slept last night. I go into bootloader and try to reflash but get the error "Invalid update tool" and it says something about a newer version. Has anyone had this error or know how to fix it? I am in desperate need of assistance here. Thank you for all replies in advance.
Edit: The exact error is as follows
Code:
ERROR[300]: INVALID UPDATE TOOL
This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please get newer Update Utility.
I was running Kavana cooked rom 6.1.
I have tried to reflash with atleast 5 different roms and they all present this error.
Just checking, but did you try the default ROM for your device? If it is a T-mobile Dash, you will want to use one the the Tmobile stock ROM's first.

I know this might be a stupid question of me but, did you do a hard reset?
Why would you make another thread regarding issues with your phone, when you already have a thread going about problems with your phone?
Please post accordingly You should've posted this other issue on your previous thread, rather than making a new one! Can you imagine if everyone would make a thread for every little issue with their phone?

It won't hard reset. I made a new topic because this is a completely different problem. I apologize if it was not necessary.
Bump.
Any ideas at all?
Ah yes.
My bomb didn't detonate until some time Wed/Thu night. 6am Thu morning I had to be at my local Polling Station where I was to be the 'Presiding Officer'.
Bad, bad timing.
Still, I managed a hard reset without the SD card in, (this took a few attempts), and having basic phone function, off I went to do my bit for European Democracy - honestly, the whole thing would be chaos without me ...
Anyway, I digress. I do that quite a lot. There was this one time ...
... I didn't get 'round to trying to sort it all out until Sat afternoon, (the phone, not the European Parliament), and as I have flashed this phone to buggery and beyond I expected it to take little time.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
I downloaded the latest version of the Energy ROM, (love it, love it, love it), ran the .bat file and; error 270.
I sparked up the bootloader and, of course, no connected device meant no update. I tried various 'stock' ROMs and got the same error you describe.
In UK, my provider is BT and there is no image link in the stickies, (I have finally found one, I will send a Mod a link), and tracking a full basic .exe image proved really difficult.
However, once found, all my problems evaporated.
So, find an executable basic ROM image from the phones' original provider, fire up the bootloader, run the .exe and a few minutes later you will be able to reflash.
Honest.
I believe you can also load the image as a .cab file onto the SD card and install from there but I didn't have to investigate this so can't promise anything. Sorry.
The ROM image is the key.
Once the bomb detonates, hard reset etc seems to become a bit flakey - keep trying.
I'm rambling again, aren't I?
Another beer I think ...
** Edit **
Yes, of course the BT ROM is now working.
Now I don't need it.
Ah well.

Energy ROM semi bricked my Dash, help needed! (And appreciated)

Hello everyone, I am really new to this forum having received the Dash 2 days ago. Looking to get it up to speed I flashed the 6.5 Energy Rom according to instructions. I think that was a very bad move, because now the cellphone is stuck on the Loading Energy Rom screen. I have searched the forum for answer and have already tried the following:
1- Entering bootloader and flashing original ROM. No luck because EVERY rom I have gotten, be it from here and T-Mobile, it says invalid vendor ID.
2-Tried to perform a hard reset. Did not work.
3-Flash the original ROM through the memory card. No avail.
The phone cannot connect to active sync, so I can't install any cooked ROMS. I think the solution is installing the original ROM by the bootloader, but I cant seem to find a compatible one. My cell information is the following:
Bootloader screen info: ONBL 1.22.0000 SPL 1.22.0000 IU
EXCA 100 S/N SZ713FE05873.
Is there any way with that information someone can tell me which ROM to use? Or any other tip/hint/suggestion? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I have the same Bootloader screen info: ONBL 1.22.0000 SPL 1.22.0000 IU value and i was able to restore my phone to working status with the following ROM
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IJIVTIMF
Hope this help

Thank you very much 10507! I'll download it now and see if it works.
Thanks for the file but it appears that it is for the SDA. It dit not work

That's odd, I was able to restore my Excalibur/Dash after flashing the corrupted EnergyRom.
Hope you will find a way to resolve your problem.

But how did you do it? Flashing it through USB or through the memory card? The weird thing is that when I run the EXE the cellphone that appears in the picture of the program is an SDA. But well I will try it again and thank you for the help!
I used bootloader method and connected my phone through USB for flashing. Remember to remove your memory card when flashing.
well, I've been in your situation for almost 3 days now, and still no solution for it, maybe it's time to put it in the box and purchase a new one , all thanks to the broken EnergyROM ...
Ok guys. Don't give up. Believe it or not, a Dash is NOT easy to brick like some other devices. the steps are fairly clear but let me refresh:
- Go into bootloader by holding the camera button and powering on the phone
- Connect the USB cable, you will hear the ba-bing USB connect sound on your PC (if u don't thats why you're having issues flashing)
- Download and unpack a "factory sealed" signed ROM. I use this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/7886560...S_1.33.422.1_4.1.13.51_03.07.90_Ship.exe.html
- With USB connected and the phone in the multicolor bootloader, run RomUpdateUtility.exe, check the boxes, it next, bla bla bla.
- It will look for your device for 20 seconds. then hit "update" and next.
- It should then start flashing the Excalibur Brightpoint Factory ROM back onto your phone
- If you can't get this far or it fails, try a different PC or Flash from the SDcard
** NOTE: If flashing from USB, REMOVE the SD CARD! This is the biggest mistake of most people trying to flash from USB.
Good luck.

Thanks ookba for cheering us up. I'm having the same problem like many, many people in this forum hopeless seeing our dash not responding to every solution proposed in this forum and the only thing that we have right now is keep trying to flash and see if it works. I will try again in different PC and see what happens. I'll let all of you know if I finally resurrect my s621.
Thanks everyone for all the help! It's hard to find people that are so helpful on internet forums. I'm still in the same situation as gmaniac and alexalexoe but hopefully we can find something that will fix our problems

This problem is ridiculously weird to why some members are able to restore their phone to original factory condition, and others are not able. Therefore, I have search from trustworthy sites and from friends for difference made ROM. Hopefully, one of these ROMs with help out anyone...........

Thanks 105507 but no success at all, I even found 2 more factory roms in the web and also they don't work. I own an unbranded international version s621 manufactured by Brightstar corporation (I tried to flash Brightstar's stock rom but it didn't work) and I noticed this because in the warranty docs it says brigthstar corporation and originally the phone came with WM5.
not that this will help. but this is one of the reasons why people should be really installing the hardspl so if you have a bad flash, you dont have to install a stock rom. any rom whether be it cooked or not will work. but this hardspl must be done prior to installing ANY rom. the hard spl is done by jockyw2001. send him a pm to see if theres anyway to get that on the phone, even in its current state.
edit: here's the link to the hardspl: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329605

My phone is the same your phone but ONBL 1.33.0000 and SPL 1.33.0000
I'm trying to find the original rom of this line but not found. Please help me!
Have you done a reset? My friend fixed his by trying reset a few times. He reset it, walked away...., it took long time to see whether it booted over; if not, do it again...
By the way, he leave the sim card in; and, you need to remove your micro sd card.
On an official site it is possible download ROM for your phone. It is flashing from bootloder mode. It some times helped me, while I have not flashed hard SPL.

You should post this in the NRG ROM thread, or even better the "Flashing ROM for NOOBs", you will get more support there. Also, list your current ROM. If you have hard SPL then all you need to do is download the NRG ROM, extract it from the 7-zip archive, and put both the files in a folder. Connect your phone via activesync, and then execute the custom RRU exe program. I have flashed several times.
You don't say what errors you are getting - people need as much information as possible.
@ Lennyz1988
thanks but the page you sent me would be one of those text files, explanations, etc that I already read a million times and isn't specific enough for me
one of the main problems is that when documents explain unzipping, unraring, etc, MOST (not always) of the time they never state specifically to where it must be unzipped/unrarred: to the computer desktop? a specific folder in the phone's memory? the sd card?
however, i did hard spl my phone, when i enter bootloader mode it does show the olinix thing on it, so is this the rom number i need to list?? does it have anything to do with rom?
@ stevedebi, isn't the rom number i listed the one that's needed? what other info is needed as i don't think there is anymore info i can get off my phone that i didn't list, but being a noob please explain away so i can get this straight
*~*~*~*~ wait, i think u mean this...it has the 6.5 rom that it came with when i bought it...is that what you're looking for??

Next, I unzip (just 5minutes ago) the 7z file that comes with the customruu.exe and try to set it up on my phone. Fail.

Since you took the time to post your problem on THIS forum, please respond with WHAT you actually did to fix your issue. It is kinda not cool to get everyone to help you, then when you solve your issue, just say problem solved and not say what you did. No offense, not bashing you, just let everyone else know what worked to fix your issue.
