hi,
how can i find my rom on my device?
i have the Qtek 9000 and i wanna upgrade it but i need to know what is my rom last update.
thanks.
If you have a fast eye, you should able to see the ROM version upon a soft reset at your very first splash screen, on the top left.
Else, go to
Start -> Settings -> System (tab) -> Device information
Information should be there.

It's running painfully slowly and the GPS won't work so I'm going to hard reset my XDA and get rid of the O2 crap, then install TomTom. I know all this stuff is here somewhere but I’m up to my eyeballs in tech articles so…. Questions:
1. Should I upgrade the ROM, and if so can anybody point me to a suitable ROM image? If I do this should I unlock it first?
2. What's the best way of getting a clean install - is it to hard reset then soft reset before the O2 stuff loads? Or should I go for a cosporate install option (is this available for the Orbit) And how do I hard reset?
3. is there an easy way of setting up the O2 connection settings afterwards or do I have to do it manually?
Lots of questions and not enough time….
After having WM5 for so long i deceided to take the plunge and flash my Vario 2 with the T-mobile WM6 on their downloads site.
The flash went fine and the Rom works quite good BUT i noticed that on the Device Information Screen it doen't tell me anything. ROM Version, ROM Date, Radio Version and Protocol Version nothing there. Hardware tab Gives me a load of squares and numbers. Identity Tab no imei number or model number and the call duration tab has nothing on it.
Can anyone help?

Thats fairly strange behavior. Have you tried a hard reset? Maybe something just didn't transfer correctly. What Rom did you flash exactly?
Try re downloading and flashing again. Maybe the DL was corrupted.
Thanks for the reply. I haven't tried a hard reset yet but i will try it later tonight. The ROM i'm using is from here http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/
As far i could see the flash went o.k. I'll try reflashing as well if the hard reset doesn't work.
Do you have HardSPL v 7 on you phone? If so you should upgrade the OS & radio only as a general rule.
If you have the factory Boot Loader & IPL then flash per the MFG's instructions.
You can extract the OS & Radio from the Factory ROM using the NBH tool you can get on this forum.
Thaks for the replies. I got it working. I just uninstalled everything and then put it back on. I think it was either to do with one of the htc album cabs or htc home cabs that i installed.
Hi everyone, I just got my HTC One X today and I'm loving it, but since I got it here in New Zealand and the phone was on the Telecom network, it has all these preinstalled things inside, plus the logos on start up etc.
So I'm thinking of changing it to the official Taiwanese version? (is it called rom or something?)
I'm totally new to this, so is there anyone that can help me with it? like if possible provide me step by step instructions? or at least tell me where/which is the official rom i should download? I'm getting really confused by all the RUU's and OTA's out there, not sure what I should be getting.
Thanks a lot! Hope someone can help me
1) Head over here: http://onexroot.com/one-x-root/how-to-root-one-x/ to root your phone/unlock your bootloader. You'll wanna make sure you follow carefully and thoroughly. This will allow you to install custom ROMs ('versions' of the operating system I guess?)
2) Head over here and find a ROM that suits you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1536
If you want something feature rich, bloat free, and Sense-based you can't go wrong with Leedroid.
Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587888 and download the zip linked in the first post.
3) Place the zip somewhere on your phone using your computer. You might want to create a new folder called "ROMs" or something to place it in.
4) Hold the power and volume down buttons on your phone till it boots into recovery mode, then select Recovery on the menu.
5) Go to backup/restore and select create backup. This will create a backup of the current state of your phone, which you can go back to in case anything goes wrong.
6) Select install zip from sdcard, then select the zip file you downloaded previously. It'll take you through a brief installer, then reboot your phone. You probably will want to select full wipe when given the option. This will erase all your contacts, settings etc.
Do all that and you should be good to go.

Click to collapse
Did you wipe everything before flashing the ROM ? I have seen mods in ROMs that make the navbar (back, home, menu) disappear until you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. What ROM are you flashing and what firmware are you running? Is it compatible with your phone? By that, I mean are you flashing a CDMA ROM on a GSM phone, or are you flashing a ROM that is specifically for a different cell phone company(Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T?
SuperSU is super user, its what gives your phone root capabilities.
Hello, i'm here because i'm experiencing some serious issues with my phone. After an unsuccessful android P beta rom installation attempt, i decided to just restore OOS. Restore and flashing went fine, but now i'm unable to get past the Android first-boot setup procedure ! I'm stuck at "Copy data from: Cloud backup/iPhone device". If i choose "Cloud Backup" the screen just remains still, it doesn't let me go ahead. Not even choosing "Do not restore" helps.
I've noticed a LOCK icon in the upper left corner of my device, what does that mean ?
I've tried relocking the bootloader and wiping cache/internal and factory reset but it didn't help.
This is a huge mess. Can someone help me ?
(Installed OOS version is: OnePlus5TOxygen_43_OTA_033_all_1804110359_e45d0)
Thank you !
Hello! I know this issue as well. Just flash OxygenOS 4 (nougat), set it up and update it to Oreo. This will help.
