(I am using smartdial + Eten skin on a french Eten G500)
Is there a way to match the western accented letters (éèêëüàçñ etc) letters with smartdial?
Is it possible for Smartdial to add the locale extension to the phone numbers: ie for french: d (domicile) b (bureau) m (mobile) instead of the english ones h, w, m ?

Here's a new skin for the dialer Topaz derived.
The cab installs only the skin, not the dialer.
Tested on Italian Rom Nextgen 1.7 (Lucapicci)

A Question
Hey looks fab,however i notice the language on the buttons is not english, is this only because your software is not english language based or is the language in the cab forign by default. Thanks from gazleyp

The language is determined by your phone, it is not part of the dialer *except* for on the keypad (2 ABC, 3 DEF, 4 GHI etc).

Quote.
Only alphanumeric characters on the keyboard are fixed. The others are determined by the written language of your ROM.
Love the blue! But...VGA vs, WVGA?

Hello!

Thank you!

I think your font does not support Cyrillic. Because for me FingerKeyboard 2.1 works fine
Your can also try another keyboard. For example VGAkey (with Russian langpack) or Resco Keyboard
I can read cyrillic letters when I send message, but the RECIEVER just jets ?-signs. And if russian people are sending me message with cyrillic letters, I also can read them.
But I will try VGAKey. Resco Keyboard is not Freeware. But I will try Trial Version.
Thank you
Edit: I don't understand how to use cyrillic letters with VGAKey...
Greetings
Looks like your PDA sends SMS in ASCII, but must in Unicode for russian text. In SMS window go to Menu > Tools > Options. Than tap on "Text messages" or other named SMS account in the list. There you can find "Use Unicode when necessary", check this option.
P.S. Езжай в Россию, у нас с этим нет проблем
Ah. Finally it worked!
Thank you very much...

Dear zalaros
unfortunately i don't have any imagination from your lang and it's layout ,...but it is a simple work to input your own nice lang character.
please use skin-02-hvga-port-01-English.txt as a sample for your portrait skins,both skin-02-hvga-port-02-grk.txt and skin-02-hvga-port-03-grksms.txt,change it's [red] characters,like here

Thank you very much for your help What about "Select All, Cut, Copy, Paste"? How can we add them?
Hi,
I have a HTC TILT 2, (AT&T) Rhodium, with android last version FRX 07
How can I get accent characters (Spanish) on the physic keyboard, á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ, ??? etc.
Thanks,
Doesn't appear to be a layout for Spanish:
physkeyboard=rhod100_de
physkeyboard=rhod100_fr
physkeyboard=rhod100_it
physkeyboard=rhod100_uk
physkeyboard=rhod100_nordic
Perhaps IT would work? That's for RHOD100's tho, If you have a RHOD300, how does it have special characters? I thought all the ATT Tilt2's had US keyboards...?
Feel free to make one and make a merge request against the rootfs.
arrrghhh : Thanks for your fast answer,
My rhodium has a US keyboard, and was buy in US, I checked an is a RHOD300, but I need write on Spanish.
I want to keep the same keyboard layout, but get the accented characters with some of this option: double pulse, pulse length -long, or a key combination or other. Par example, on Windows Mobile 6.5 (Rom Energy) I use the app “rhodium Keyboard Controller GSM/CDMA v1.4” to remap the keyboard http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240
I mean, i get the accent characters by long press
a + long press = á,
n +long press= ñ
I will try the Italian (maybe is similar but doesn’t have same accents, diacritics, specially “ á “ and “ ñ ” ) option but my technical knowledge (and my English) is limited, so your advice is welcome
Thanks

Oh.
I don't know how this would be done... I would think Android has some native-way of remapping keys... But I'm not aware of any way how. Never looked into it.
In the short term, why not just use the soft keyboard?
Edit - did a little bit of googling and found this. Not ideal, I haven't found an app to do it yet.
Edit 2 - I can't find an app for the life of me. These might help tho.

Hello guys,
I have an Elite x3, and I have a problem with keyboard layout. Bulgarian language has two different keyboards - standard one, called BDS, and phonetic one (where Cyrillic symbols correspond to their Latin sounds) . Until August update the situation was acceptable - the layout on the phone was phonetic, but when you connect external keyboard via Continuum, it turned to BDS, where you can write with 10 fingers. So I'm sure, that both layouts are included in Windows mobile. In August update, MS made it phonetic everywhere - both on the phone and external keyboard. I write a lot, with 10 fingers, which is simply impossible with the phonetic layout - it is optimised for another language.
Is it possible to change the layout from phonetic to the standard one using Interop tools, or any other way?
Thank you in advance!
