Transcriber and Keyboard files mod!

Hi all,
anyone here know what files are used for the transcriber and keyboard layout?
I want to replace the english files with german files to have an english os with german keyboard and transcriber. Im sure that this is possible!
Anyone know or ever tried to do that ?

keyboard layout should not be a very big problem i know all the scandinavian layouts are out as freeware
but havent seen transcriber as in understanding the special signs for free
nor of cause spell checking / word guessing

imho there are no freeware german keyboard layouts...
I have tested with success:
- resco keyboard
- pdamill keyboard
- pargon interkey
all of them are working well.
here are the advantages:
- resco: nice numpad / calculator
- pdamill: german dictionary but no resolution of email addresses
- interkey: nice colored layout and "faster" than the others
at the moment I am using interkey
and for the transcriber you can use the commercial "Calligrapher" it works very well but for me personally the screen is too small for handwriting.... :wink:

schaps's bonus keyboard skin : french possible ?

among the nice bonus for schaps roms i like the color skin for the virtual keyboard.
but it is in english only and i'm french, using his french 3.54b
so if he does not plan to translate it in french, can someone tell me how i can do it myself from his cab, if it is possible?

i don't want a complete translation of the rom but if i can get a french virtual keyboard it would be great.
for information, i installed the 4.01 and the bonus keyboard cab wich gives this virtual keyboard : http://i16.tinypic.com/6hfyr78 (the first one in color)

Additional hardware keyboard layout

is it possible to add additional hardware keyboard layout? and how?
now i have Shamanix WM6 Ultimate 2.1 FINAL ROM WWE on Japanese Softbank X01HT. have installed support for Japanese. so when i open hardware keyboard i can you it's japanese layout with hiragana/katakana and english layouts. is it possible to add any other layouts?
i need russian one. i have on-screen russian keyboard using pocketCM. but i need hardware one, cuz on screen is pretty bad, especially when i need to type a big volume of text. it just annoys me to use stylus (

I'm in the reverse of your situation: have russian and english and want pinyin.
You can try AEKMap (http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.php), but it has side effect of disabling your OK key altogether.
By the way, can you just tell me in PM how did you get japanese layout and precisely how do you switch english/hiragana/katakana?

they say LetsJapanNo5.zip, but there is already LetsJapanNo6.zip. you can find it somewhere here on the forum, or i can send it to you, if you dont find it.

For those who still want it:
http://hn801.hkes.com/Data/SIP/CHS_IME_Q.zip adds Pinyin to any keyboard layout (which I changed to Russian). After that, you can toggle Russian <-> English by pressing the Tab/RU/whatever-you-have-to-the-left-of-Space and English <-> Chinese by tapping 英 and 拼 on Pinyin SIP.

Downloaded and installed your version of Yota contact. A few things I noticed. On the today screen the contact soft key is in Russian or at least partial Russian. Also the number pad within Yota contacts has both Standard and Russian numerals. Other than that it seems to be cleaned up very nicely.

So AVLev, what you're providing us here is the same (useful) Yota application as the one provided by AllTheWay in the previous link, but modded/skinned differently? And that's why we have to uninstall AllTheWay's one before we install yours?

IPC Yota is just skinned Yota contacts/dialer.
This apllication was developed for HTC 4MAX Yota phone and russian WiMax provider "Yota".
It was cracked for use with HD.

Looks really nice, great app!
One thing: when I scroll to a new contact to edit birthday/anniversary, I must select the month in Russian, quite difficult.
Could that be fixed?
Or how could I do that myself?

There are a few russian left in the english cab. The in call menu (speaker on, hold...ect) all of those are still in Russian

Russian (cyrillic) Keyboard?

Hello!
I need russian Keyboard very much for my HTC TD2 (german, WM 6.1). I can recieve SMS in cyrillic letters.
I downloaded FingerKeyboard 2.1 but the reciever just gets ?-signs instead of cyrillic letters.
So how can I send SMS in cyrillic letters?
Need it really very much and it would be great if somebody could help me!

Tray to use FingerKeyboard fron __tp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501434_, it has several lanquages included russian.

I got exactly that version. But the reciever just gets ?-signs instead of cyrillic letters...

I think your font does not support Cyrillic. Because for me FingerKeyboard 2.1 works fine
Your can also try another keyboard. For example VGAkey (with Russian langpack) or Resco Keyboard

I can read cyrillic letters when I send message, but the RECIEVER just jets ?-signs. And if russian people are sending me message with cyrillic letters, I also can read them.
But I will try VGAKey. Resco Keyboard is not Freeware. But I will try Trial Version.

Looks like your PDA sends SMS in ASCII, but must in Unicode for russian text. In SMS window go to Menu > Tools > Options. Than tap on "Text messages" or other named SMS account in the list. There you can find "Use Unicode when necessary", check this option.
