Hi All
What chip is used on Qtek 9100 eg wizard, apache etc

The Wizard uses the Texas Instruments OMAP 850 CPU. Check out the wiki pages for more info on the Wizard and other HTC devices.

How to run software for PDAs on Smartphones

Hi everyone,
I have just recently switched from Qtek 9100(identical to I-mate K-JAM, 02 mini S and MDA Vario) to Qtek 8310 (identical to I-mate SP5 and O2 Orion). None of the programs I used to work with can install on my new phone. I have heard that maybe you have to emulate touchscreen in order for them to work.
Can somebody help with thi problem?
Thank you
Smartphone OS lacks lots of functions/features that are present on a PocketPC. Not only the touchscreen is missing, search microsoft.com for the complete list of differences. Generally it is impossible to force any complex PocketPC app to work on smartphone. But the reverse process is not difficult - most of smartphone apps can be patched to run on a PocketPC.
recall something about wm2005 being able to run smartphone applications
not sure if wm2005 for smartP's can also do pda applications
there is also the issue of smartphones being much less powerfull then pda's to think about
Maybe there is an option, or.... ?
Thanks guys, as for the hardware specs of the phone they are the same as my previous PDA - CPU is TI OMAP 200Mhz, 64ROM, 128 RAM, I have also inserted 1GB mini SD card and the OS is Windows Mobile 5.0.
If anyone can help with this I am still hoping to find a solution

How to use o2 Plus plugins on P3300?

I've tried to install O2Plus tools (from Orbit Extended ROM - avaible in xda-developers ftp site) on my Artemis and the installation went well, but at the end a message appeared: "This program is designed for use in Orbit only" -- something like this. And then although I could see the O2 plugins among Today items, after choosing them nothing happened...
Since the Orbit and the Artemis have the same hardware I think O2 stuff doesn't harm Artemis and has some useful features that HTC lacks (profiles, last call indicator, etc.)
Would you, guys so kind to try to modify the cab file in order to make it usable in Artemis too?
I try to attach the cab file here.
Thanks in advance!
cheers
there are o2 plus that have been 'modified' to be used on others. try a search on the forum.

Yes, I know. I have even downloaded one cab (O2 Plus ver. 2.3). But it's double size than the one I attached and - to tell the truth - I would have more confidence in the version that was made especially for Artemis (taken that Artemis = Orbit).
So, the kind request is still valid.
cheers

Cyberbank's POZ EVDO ROM flashing: help needed

Hello everyone!
I've got a Cyberbank POZ EVDO (CP X315 BR), which is a pocket PC phone with the following specs:
Processors => PDA: XScale/PXA255(Cotulla) 400Mhz; CDMA: MSM5500
Memory => OS : 32MB + Data: 128MB (160MB); DRAM: 64 MB

Well, I got the PPC from my operator, Brasilian VIVO, about 2 years ago, and now they gave me a HTC S621/Excalibur, because I'm a good corporate costumer and they're "expanding" their network to GSM (actually changing from CDMA into it)...
Anyways, since I changed my phone line to the Excalibur and have no use for this PPC's phone abilities, I´m willing to keep it as a second PPC without phone and I want to upgrade it's ROM probably a cooked one with a newer win mobile version.
So, I tried upgrading with the ROMs made for some of the PPC phones with similar specs found here on XDA Developers, but had no success up to now.
Now, not having found anything addressing this subject, I ask you guys if anyone had any similar experience with success (flashing a PPC phone with a ROM made to another one with similar SPECS).
I repeat: I don't care if I lose the radio of my PPC, because I do not intend do use it anymore and it tends to turn it on by it self once in while, what kills its battery very fast when happens.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Cheers!

i-mate JAQ-Upgrading to WM6

Hey guys.
I have been using HTC wizard and recently bought i-mate JAQ, runs WM5.
I would like to upgrade it with an WM6 and I am wondering if someone can help me with this. It is 128MB Rom and 64MB ram so I am not sure if that would be good enough for WM6.0
Thanks in advance!
i would try to search the forum for "imate AND jaq"
this site in general only do htc devices so it may not be there
but could be that somebody posted info about it in general forum
other pda's have rom info floating around there
