Hey guys.
I have been using HTC wizard and recently bought i-mate JAQ, runs WM5.
I would like to upgrade it with an WM6 and I am wondering if someone can help me with this. It is 128MB Rom and 64MB ram so I am not sure if that would be good enough for WM6.0

this site in general only do htc devices so it may not be there
but could be that somebody posted info about it in general forum

juz got my first PDA phone which is an O2 XDA IIs... so i am kind of new to the world of pda!! hehe... aniwae ... the XDA IIs comes with the wm 2003 and i hate it!!! could anione tell me if my phone can be upgraded to Wm 2005 or 2006??? and how to do it??? thks alot!!!!

it SHOULD upgrade.
but first, read up and check your fone info etc.
follow the instructions and you should be fine.....i managed my first upgrade with no real problems and that was the blue angel from 2003 to WM6
guys question on BLUE ANGEL

Expanding the Storage memory (merge ExtROM with storage)
Have followed Wiki Wizard to Update ROM from WM2003SE to WM6, but not exactly understand Pros & Cons of Expanding the Storage memory (merge ExtROM with storage) Please help clarification and:
Should I expand the storage memory as mentioned in Wiki, Pros & Cons?
How many MBs will be lost if I decide not to expand the storage memory?
I was able to upgrade my XDA IIs using rickywyatt's rom (thanks a bunch) i now have WM6.1 all is working fine although i'm still trying to learn how to tweak my registry and make my BT-OBEX working again.... I'm also using Point UI 1.5a. I even got Pocket Live messenger and Office Mobile. I suggest using the wikis and the tuts everybody hands out so that you can really make your BA/XDA IIs a blast!

Had anybody tried it with cavalier?
It seems that Excalibur version of wm 6.1 should be compatible with Cavalier.
Anybody has an experience before I start to rape my own device?

If you try Excalibur WM6.1, you'll end up with an expensive brick!

This is really sad the the Cavalier is the better device than the Excalibur, yet we have no 6.1 Rom. I know there are a million more dashes out there, but how hard would it be for someone to move the 6.1 Rom on the Excalibur board over to the Cavalier?

First of all, to get WM6.1 on our Cavaliers we need to buypass CID lock, which for the moment we can't do as there's no sspl or whatever for Cavalier!
Second, after the first part is done, we need to port WM6.1 to Cavalier which is not easy so basicly we need a developer who has in its possession a HTC Cavalier!

Wow, i can't believe there's not even a hint of development yet. There's got to be some good developer out there who can cook a 6.1 rom for us!
Current problem is CID unlock.only SuperCID can flashing!!

I'm new here and I just bought a blue angel. I'm thinking to upgrade my Windows Mobile 2003 to WM6 or WM6.1 or WM6.5, but I don't know which one to choose - Which one of then is better and more realible?
I was wondering upgrade to WM 6.1 but I saw the WM6.5 and I really loved the desktop, menus, windows, etc.. but, from what I read, the xplode and sun_dream release are both beta?
I'd like to read first of all the answers for all this questions and then I'll ask for other questions.

most new 6.1 ROMs are stable. 6.5 is good too. I am currently using xplode's 6.5 ROM release 7.1. I haven't tried the others, though. I also used a swampy395's wm6.1, which was pretty good as well. Just read the thread, people will tell you what they think of them.

I just unlock my 8525 from Cingular to use on T-Mobile 3G. I was wondering if I could push the 8525 to WM 6.1, 6.5 or even 7, if so can some direct me to the best ROMS?
