Hi
does anybody know anything about tsim slot inside a cdma based blue angel (PPC 6600)?
thing is i wanted to buy an audiovox ppc6600 here in US and use it in india with Tata Indicom (CDMA carrier). A cust. care rep in india said that they have the same phone (blue angel) there sold as Tata Indicom Konquer and it is tsim compatible.
Now if Konquer is tsim compatible, then audiovox ppc6600 should also have the same compatibility, since they both are essentially made by HTC. But i do not not for sure if this is the case.
Has anybody done this sort of thing before (switching carriers with 6600)?
Or does anybody know anything about it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

Does Anyone know if the blue angle roms work on the IMATE PDA2K EVDO I am assuming that it is the CDMA version of the blue angle.
Can anyone clarify.
Cheers
Jason
The PDA2K EVDO is indeed the CDMA version. It is sold by Sprint and Verizon in the U.S., and the roms are going to be different due to carrier settings and network info. I may be wrong, but I think that you will do big-time bad things to your phone if you try the roms not designed for the PDA2K EVDO.
Also sold as the "Harrier" by Telecom NZ, as a dual CDMA/EVDO device.

Does anyone know the difference betweek the PDA2k and PDA2K EVDO? Can you buy the EVDO one in the UK? Will O2 be releasing this version?
The PDA2k is a GSM phone, with GPRS and wifi
The PDA2k is a CDMA phone, with EVDO and no wifi
Basically, you get the one that is right for your mobile service provider. In Canada, for instance, Rogers and Fido use GSM, and Telus uses CDMA.
Ah, ok, thanks. The imate club web site wasn't clear on this. Cheers for your help
Nice one TheLastOne and hope its not the last one.

Hello,
Anybody can help me please? I bought Verizon Audiovox 6600 from the us and I can not use because it is locked. Please jelp me to unlock the phone,Thank you[/i]
Ive heard there are issues with the Audivox unlocking. I would apreciate some help with that as well. I am getting one from a friend soon. Hes coming to England.
The 6600 is a CDMA phone. I take it your home country has CDMA as oppossed to GSM? Sorry for the basic question but there is no use unlocking it unless you have access to CDMA. The 6600 is not GSM capable.
New Zealand has CDMA, the UK does not.
From what I heard you are able to use the phone for voice only, but not data because the US does data in a different way than Asian CDMA operators. I could be wrong though regarding how the 6600 does data
Can I use a Verizon Audiovox XV 6600 (CDMA 800, 1900) with my Alltel carrier in the US? If yes, what is the procedure for getting the phone to work on my Alltel carrier. Do I have to unlock the phone or do something else?
thanks,
Adrian
PS, my appologies if this questions has been asked before, but I have not been able to find a definitive answer.
Sorry - you no can do. Unlike the GSM versions, the CDMA versions are carrier specific. Best you can do is sell it, and try to get another second-hand phone for Altel.
Have the same
I want to unlock my verizon audiovox 6600 so I may clone it to

I have heard of people moving phones between Sprint and Verizon's service. Granted they both carried the same particular model phones so it may be that you would need a ROM customized by the carrier flashed to your particular phone. I do not know all of the details.
You can Use to any carrier in the world.
The main problem is your Carrier SID, channel not compatible with Verizon.
change to your valid SID and channels with your Carrier.
