how to disable the little phone boutton on the side of exec? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

hi all,
does anyone know if it is possible to disable the little green and red phone bouttons on the side of the exec ?
Thanks

They can be remapped with AEButton Plus, but then you lose the big red and green as well.
There's probably another more invasive technique, but I haven't tried it yet.

Sure I can help
Hi.
Good to help the Gurus .
I hv opened so many times my 2s 5/6 PDA2k and have also replaced 4-5 screens.
I do not follow any std procedure...may be this is right as so far I hv not faced any problems.
1) Remove the battery and then remove the small as well as 2 big corner screws and side screws. One can use any std tool kit to open these screws. In all the whole of the device there are only two types, small and large(Dunno abt the pitch etc)
2) Slowly remove the black cover.Specially take care of the volume slider as it very delicate and tends to break. Then remove the internal entina.
3) Slide out the key board and then open the upper two screws of the front slider.
4)Important step..Very slowly remove a) Vibrator and keep it aside, b) the connector which connects to the dispay, and then totally take apart the PCBs, so that u can see the display and the other two small screws.
5) Now take a screw driver and slowly remove the front pane by creating gaps in the preiphery of the front panel and the upper slider part.Pls take care that speaker also comes out with that...take care of the connections.
6) Now there are 4 small screws, two below the and two above...remove tham slowly and you have the display out...just replace and do the reverse of the above....you hv successfully changed the diaplay...
I hope, I hv explained quite clearly...Pls let me know if u face any difficulty.
6) Now complete screen is visble

The blinking icon at the top right corner worked OK on my Smartphones - along with the audio / vibration.
Are you sure you don't see the icon?

I believe the poster is referring to the "today screen" (home screen). The icon is not there on it, so you have no way of knowing if you have messages without going into another app first.

battery indicator problem

Hey,
This problem has probably a very easy solution, but I can't get it to work...
Everytime I want to check my batterystatus I have too press the digital clock in the upper right corner.
How can I have the battery indicator there as default?
I know I had it when I first got the phone, but now it's not working.
Help appreciated!

Camera bug?

When i close the camera app., there appears for about half second a green / blue stripe on the top menu bar from left to right.
After soft reset or hard reset the problem is away. But when the device is used for another 1 or 2 days, the line appears again by closing the camera software.
Software problem oder hardware?
Someone knows this "bug" / problem?

never seen that b4. did u do any tweaks to ur phone for the cam? like enable hiddn formats or resolutions or something?
There are no tweaks etc. After hard reset the problem is for about 1-2 days away, then it appears again.
Original HTC WM6.5 without tweaks etc.
Anyone with the same problem?

REQ - Soft 'button' lights on new SMS, etc

Hi there,
As the title suggests, I wonder whether it would be possible (and if anyone was up for a challenge) to make the soft button lights fade in and out when there is a new SMS, etc?
I come from a HTC Hero, where the trackball light does this...and since there is no visible way to show a new SMS has arrived (short of turning your screen on), I thought this might be a nice way of alerting the owner to new notifications.
I guess my questions would be:
1) Can it be done?
2) Is anyone up for the challenge?
Thanks for reading!
This has actively been discussed and partially developed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=706426
Thanks for this mate....I was unaware that other people had had such an intelligent suggestion as mine
Thanks
