I have been fiddling with my Blue Angel, as one does. Anyway - I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.
Firstly, my device (T-Mobile UK 1.42 ROM) stopped syncing the Calendar from Outlook 2003, which itself uses an exchange 'mailbox' for storage.
This is not ideal, as you may imagine, so I tried to re-install Outlook, and Activesync 3.8. To make sure, I also hard-reset the BA.
Again I was asked to 'place the device in the cradle' and ActiveSync shuffled around, turned green and minimised - WITHOUT asking me if it was a standard/guest partnership etc etc.
Basically, both PC and PPC AS connections showed connected, but nothing was syncing.
I have temporarily resolved this by installing AS 4.0, which again asked me how I wanted to sync, but ideally I would like to use AS 3.8 (since I'm using WM2003SE) and yet each time I install 3.8 or 3.7.1 it connects but refuses to sync.
***Correction - On closer inspection, whilst it Syncs everything else, Calendar is still not synced with AS4, and nor does it give the option.
Is this something seen before? Likely to be an Outlook, ActiveSync or PPC issue?
Regards,
Darren
I have a privately owned Qtek 9000 using the latest Imate Rom.
I have my personal email (from my home desktop) synced to the Pocket PC Partnership.
My organisation runs exchange server 2003 SP2 and I would ideally want to us push email to sync my business emails to my device, but keep the personal emails seperately.
I know Active Sync states that you can only sync one set of email accounts, but when I set up a partnership with my work pc the "sysnc with 'exchange' directly" option is offered. I have thus far declined this offer as I want to keep my personal mail sync.
Does the restriction on only syncing one email account apply to the scenario above?
Thanks
Hi Steven,
I think with the current version of ActivesSnc we are limited to only syncing one account at a time (either via Exchange or PC). I've tried a bunch of different options, but doesnt work with exchange.
The way I got it to work, is set up a new account with POP settings in the WM5 device, but this by passes activesync completely...
Good idea, I hadn't thought of that.
Thanks
Hi,
is there anyone who knows how to access the addressbook on a exchange server.
I have a qtec 9090 with Helmi-C's WM5/AKU2.3 ROM.
I succesfully sync with my company's exchange server thrue activesync over wifi and gprs using certificates. Mail, contacts, appointment.
But not the general company's address book, can't use that.
any suggestions?

i did, but i don't sem to be able to connect to the exchenge server. I connect via certificates and gprs, but some how it looks as if MGCA is not aware of the certificate so not use it.
if you or someone els has expiriece with this, would be great
i'm a very happy man. After upgrading to helmi-c latest AKU 3.0 ROm i retried https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/global/default.mspx

Hi guys please can somone help me ? I am downloading my mail via outlook on my TyTN via gmail. I get the messages but then a couple of minutes later or maybe after I reconnect, the messages diasappear. almost like they are only there per session and then get deleted. how can I keep them there indefinitely? I have read that people have been experiencing these problems with Outlook mobile since 2006 but cannot find a solution. I do not think this is a gmail prob as on my desktop it works fine. please can you help? thanks
I have enabled Outlook on my Dymond o/s to download full messages from 3 days, not just headers.
simplist solution is to use an exchange server and forward your gmail account to that account and use a http alias on the server account. google this site for free exchange 2007 account. there is a guy named denial he is a great guy.
Thanks will try it. I appreciate your help. seems that every time it syncs with Gmail, the messages disappear. I cannot believe that I am the only one on this forum with this problem??
Hi Guys,
I have tried almost all the WM6 version avaiable and observed that when my Trinity is synchronizing with PC using Active Synch the screen almost freezes and recovers when synchronization is done. Any ideas why it happens and how to avoid it.
Thanks.
The same for me
I've noticed the same on a HTC Elf with an "original" WM6 then we can say that it's normal...
I've noticed too that when I use Active sync Over the Air with a exchange server there is no freeze, the same connection to exchange directly with active sync freeze too
