Smart Dialing russian, ukrainian localization.

I made this localization by patching files of Smart Dialing Version 2.2 (Build 21176) and tested it on HTC Blue Angel with clean WM5 ROM Tuma v1.3, but, i think this will work for any device with Smart Dialing Version 2.2 (Build 21176). Read more in doc\readme.txt from attached archive.

After installing .cab form attached archive you will be able to search not only english contacts in Smart Dialing, but also a contacts writen on russian and ukrainian.
Also i replaced english letters on phone buttons by russian leters. English letters i write on the background image of phone application below each button. Who do not need english - just delete .png images from .cab file and all registry modificanions. Who do not need russian letters on buttons - also delete tapres.dll.0409.mui file from .cab.
Ukrainian leters is not fit on buttons, but its is on buttons with similar russian letters.
On button 1 i add a space and "+" for searching exotic contacts , see doc\readme.txt from attached archive for list of all symbols on all buttons.
Who want to replace or add own symbols on buttons - read doc\readme.txt from attached archive. You can assing up to 120 UNICODE symbols on each button with help of any HEX editor (no need to reallocation, etc. - just open smartdialing.dll and write your symbols at addres from table in doc\readme.txt from attached archive).

Looking for help with 2003 SX66
My Wife is a native Russian speaker and would like the phone to be able to save contacts and send email and SMS in Russian. But as she is learning English It would be great if both would work. I do not know if this is possible?
I have bought the Simens SX66 that was Cingular branded in the US.
I have upgraded using info from the SX66 (Blue Angel) Standardization Project

starting with a precisation: Free&Free stay for "Free from donation" and "Free for extract".
I don't want donation for my ROM, and it is a "NOT structured" ROM, so if you want, you can extract it and you'll find all package in SYS folder with dsm and rgu files, so you can use and personalize it.
A good coocker, if he wants, can rebuild olso rom structured, but this means many hours of hard work.
Why don't leave it not structured?
This is the first great BIG difference of my Arte-X.

Due to limitation number of image(4 x 3d)) , continue in next 3d.
IMPORTANT:
This rom is equiped with an "Extended Rom on SD", indispensable for complete ROM installation and for personal choiche of program you want install (yes there is a package of optional software).
So, it needs an SD on PPC with almost 40 Mb of avalaible free space.
First copy folder SDExtRom in your SD (don't change name, copy as is) and after flash.
Remember USPL unloocked.
And a raccomandation: at end, don't delete folder SDExtRom from SD; it is necessary in case of HR.
"SD Extended Rom" was my great intuition and i worked very hard to implement this system with a lot of advantge for ROM (no duplicate file, higt possibility of personalization without modify original registry.......etc.), and for user (except essential program in Rom, you can choose the way of personalize this rom with a selection of great software: TT6, Google Maps, more themes and rings, and a lot of other software included in Ext Rom on SD.
This is the 2d great difference with others Roms.
The Rom base is original WM6 from HTC and no new WM6.1: why this choice? Because:
- it's fast and stable
- has a very low drain battery
- M$ don't released an italian distribution
- many cookers make their rom "structured" and i have not time for rebuild, translate, test, retest etc. etc.....
S.O. and ALL main software are in italian language.
Some 3d part software (i did not have autorizathion from author)are not in Rom: they are in ExtRom on SD. Thanks to all author of that software (Mortscript, S2U2, PCMKeyboard, IM Selector etc. etc.).

OK. Go ahead. Click the continue button and click Yes to copy the file. The update will continue with no warnings.
The device will perform a "CLEAN BOOT" in green letters and... your device will be ready to go in your language.
Any future ROM updates will still need to be run using the "native" language of the device. I tried it out.
change language ipaq 114 FR to NL or EN
didnt' work for me (ipaq 114)...no problems to do all of the things described in the post but after reboot same language (fr). Is there an other way to force the ROM image uploading? Or any other tool to change the rom image on the ipaq? HELP

I followed the instructions above......and with a little help from Google Translate, I was able to convert my Ipaq 110 from French to English.
The vendor, CDW Canada, did not distinguish between the French and English versions on their website or the confirmation email, so the customer service rep said I could send it back. He said on many occasions that CDW would send me an RMA number and return shipping label, but after 2 months of waiting, I gave up. I won't be dealing with CDW anymore.
Just followed the instuction from littlemonkey and it worked like a charm!
it was more easy than expected, changed my american ipaq 111 to an italian ipaq 110 !

Your theme looks very nice. A few questions :
1) Have you created your own lock screen ? If yes, does it lock ALL hardware keys, including the "home" key ?
2) While using WAD2 on my HD, I've always been facing problems with incoming calls. Firstly, a time lag of more than 5 seconds between the true call start and the instance that the Caller ID screen appears and the phone rings. Secondly, the Caller ID screen (either the WM one or the S2U2 one) does not draw correctly. Either the caller's name, or picture, or the S2A button are missing. Does your theme cope with these problems ?

No I don't créated lock screen. When you clic on start menu and clic on the bouton at bottom right, the screen is power off.

Q: How to install my native Language?
A: Just download the cab above for your native Language, copy it to your TP2, install it on device and reset, after that you can delete the Cab.
Q. Can I uninstall the Language Pack?
A: Yes, goto system settings and remove it, reset device and this makes it reverse to WWE.
Q: Bad or missing Translation?
A: Sorry, I pick the Manila Lang files somewhere in this forum and I am not sure that all Langs are 100% well translated, and as you can imagine I dont speak that many Languages.
Q: Will this work on Manila 2.0 or 2.5?
A: I have no idea, but I think the answer is NO.
Q: I Found the full language pack for all languages, why not install everything?
A: The full pack of manila files can be installed with no problem, but will create on your device windows folder more or less 500 files (7 Mb), and this will make your device slow. If you install your native single Cab this will copy only 36 files (300K)
Q: What about WM 6.5, is it translated too?
A: NO, this is only for Manila Sense 2.1, WM 6.5 stays in WWE.

Install all cabs, then do a reset not before....
After reset start Start main program "pocket islam"
After closing program you can use Pocket Quran...
It is not complete... I will Upload all mp3 Quran files this night...
Then just copy map "Quran" to program files "Pocket Islam"
The you can let recite the whole Quran in program....

Is there anyway, I can have this app that also recite the Holy Quran in Arabic and then translate that verse is English...because I don't speak Arabic, and I love to hear it in Arabic but also want to know the meaning, so it can rejoice my faith...

I think, it would require a bit programing, and getting into the registry of the app, so After each verse, when clicked on the translation mode, it get you English translation, and then move to the other verse....any programmer?

The App has already that.....
If you let recite the verse you want, just click soft button beneath it, is the first or the the second from the right side...(Sorry do not remember which one it was) than you will see the recited verse in english....So you can let the program recite the whole Quran and you can follow it in english..
See for the soft buttons on the pictures in first post...
So no need to translate or programming....!!!!
