I would like some help with my MDA Pro. I want to remove the T-mobile theme from my PPC. [/b]
Hmm....
The T-Mobile theme is in ROM unlike some themes as such it is not deletable, and does not take up RAM, deleting it would not give you anymore usable space. So in this case there is nothing to be gained by doing what you want.
I have also XDA2i and i have removed the O2 active. Is there any possibilite with the same proccess the theme of T-mobile to be removed and if i change the ROM from i-mate it would be removed

Hey Guys
I have a question about CABs
I have the T-Mobile MDA III (Blue Angel) and my girl has the T-Mobile MDA Compact (Magician)
I was wondering if I can take the T-Mobile specific CAB's from the Magician (Which are more up to date than the Blue Angel ones) and drop them inn the extended ROM on the Blue Angel??
Or are the Operator CAB's device specific??
I am guessing/hoping that the CABs are operating system specific and not device specific, So I could be wrong...
Thanks guys
You can use the cabs without any problem...
Ive seen a lot of new roms, some based on official and some built up themselves.
First, whats the latest on an official WM6 ROM from T-Mob UK?
Second, whats the best rom for a UK Compact III? How does it handle the lack of Wifi. Im mainly intrested to hear from those Compact III users who have switched and if they have noticed any problems or missing features.
Third and finally, is there a download for the original rom? Or can I flash it to the T-mob WM6 rom (if one comes out) if ive flashed to a 3rd party rom?
I had problems with some WM5 roms on my prophet in that the sound was too low or it contained crap. Sometimes things didnt work like when you clicked on a text entry box the keyboard didnt appear.
Thanks

WM6 works really good on my MDA from t mobile.
I'm actually using Bepe WWE rom flashed with USPL, I have already flashed two devices without any problems (exept problems with doing it on vista but it was also solved).
Generally wm6 works faster and is more stable then wm5 but nothing is perfect, i've notticed that some programs have problems to run properly.
Spb Gprs monitor doesn't work at all and spb backup has problems with reading files from windows directory.
wm6 is far better then wm5 and i can recomend it to anyone even if you must used to some issues.
there is no official wm6 rom from t-mobile uk and probably there will not be one, but if i am wrong you can obviously flash your device with it.
mda mms settings
Hi there, need help with my mda vario. I unlocked it for cingular and works fine but then i upgraded the rom to 2.26 and can not get my mms work. The MMS settings is totally blocked out. Someone please help!!
I would like to share my cooked version of the official O2 UK released version of Windows Mobile 6 with anyone who’s interested . I cooked up this rom primarily because I use the O2 network (because I use my works sim card). And didn’t want to be messing around setting the thing up every time I hard reset or recooked something new in. I've also left EVERYTHING in for stability as I'm a great believer in the moto "if it isnt broke dont fix it" I also believe compared to HTC’s, ATT and Dopods rom this to me comes out top for stability. Let me give you a example, with all the other 3’s version of this AKU I’ve had problems after a few days syncing with vista however this rom bites first time every time. I've also not seen my phone proforming a radio search with this rom. Anyway let me give you the specs so you can decide
O2 base rom 3.54.206.1
4 Meg Page Pool Version
Storage 52.73 Meg
Program Memory 30.40 Meg
Extended Rom included for fixes and O2 settings
Other added programs are
Black Keyboard
Bluetooth Explorer
BTCrawler
Glossy Black Bars enabler
HTC Audio Manager
X Button 1.5 (29968)
Superbright Screen enabler
O2 plus
(I didnt want to cook in any one version of HTC home or Dialer I've just made the space so you can decide which one to install )
Please read up on how to flash a custom rom if this is your first time as I cannot take any responsibly for your mistakes!
Oh and THANK YOU to mattk_r for taking all the hard work out of cooking, and of course to all the other gods of the kitchen out there

Enjoy
Thanks Ratcom.
Will give it a spin.

no this is for the Hermes only.
Hi,
i've got an MDA Vario II and just updated it to the original WM6 ROM which was available from T-Mobile, but I am very disappointed - in some things:
- The Power Consumption has increased
- Some Programs are even not in this ROM like the "Notes" Application and the Calculator
- The Performance is not as good as under WM5
- The WMP cannot play MP4 Files
...There are some more issues but I don't want to list them all, because this is not my core question
What I want to know is if it is possible to install the O2 Rom or if you can recommend me another ROM, it is no problem if it is in english, it just should be having all the WM Standard Programs and it should have more performance.
Can I get the original HTC ROM somewhere ?
Greetings from Germany,
T.S.
I have a MDA Compact IV (equivelant to touch diamond). I have used a number of diamond roms and love some of the features in the 6.5 roms (i.e. new lock interface).
However i have problems using all the t-mobile features via web n walk such as mobiletv, youtube, windows live etc.
Is it possible to have wm6.5 with the t-mobile customisation?
Thanks
I don't think so.
Custom ROMs are made to get rid of provider stuff and such crap.. the only way you might get your stuff is, imho, that you dump a ROM from your provider and grab all .cab files you need to get everything working.
have to admit the same day I got my MDA with in the first hour I was trying to get rid of all the T-Mobile branding and the software and the ugly pink colors that T-Mobile had and am glad I dont have the branding stuff on there as still a T-Mobile customer. With the WM 6.5 I have notice the battery holds alot longer and the Extra cap.bat original HTC bat with cover holds almost a whole week.Like they said you will have to extract the cab file from the t-mobilr rom and install them ,if they work on the 6.5 ,I am not so sure.
