hello,
i recently upgraded my ROM to T-mobile diamond release v1.1
I would like to upgrade to your special edition ROM since some things on the diamond release are not that good...
The problem is that anytime I try to install it the screen says "cannot find pocket pc, make sure your usb cable is connected" or something... it must be connected because active sync starts to run when i enter my pocket pc in his cradle, it also syncronises. I tried to reinstall te usb drivers, rebooted my pc, soft and hard reseted my pocket pc but I still get the same message... could somebody please explain to me what I'm doing wrong here?
thank you
MRJ
the SE rom is not new it's likely that you have one of the new roms which can only be downgraded by using the sd flash way insted of the usb flash way
also your icon say that you have a xda2 and the SE rom is only for xda1
I was upgrading my Hermes 8525 with the latest black pro when my computer turned off. The Hermes boots into windows but displays a black back ground. There is no screen interaction and no buttons work. It does not active sync either or I would have reinstalled.
Is there a way to re-install a rom with out being in active sync mode ?
Also windows recognizes a USB devices but it does not recognize it as a Hermes any more
I need some advice and help
thank you,
Brian
tried to reenter the bootloader and reflash ?

Also check out the WIKI site for upgrade problems HERE.
I've also found that have Hard SPL keeps a lot of problems at bay. You can get that HERE
Got a Jasjar and it had AKU1.? installed. I tried to upgrade to 2.0 (JASJAR_WWE_20106_20301_11300_wwe_ship.exe) so that I can setup the push-mail. Bad choice by me, the upgrade completed and I just clicked the finish button (I recall it says something about hard reset PPC). So I did, and upgrade activesync to version 4.5.
Now my PPC doesn't even turn on, and my computer doesn't recognize the PPC either with an error saying "USB device not recognized".
Since I can't turn the ppc power on at all, computer can't recognize the ppc either, I have absolutely no idea on how to fix this problem. Anyone know what's the issue and the solution to this?
Hello,
I am trying to get my hermes back to factory settings becuase I want to sell it. But I am experiencing some difficulties. I downloded the original shipped WM6 rom and launced the PDA Phone ROM Update Utility. With my phone conected to active sync, I go through the steps and at the step when they ask the check the boxes, the phone goes into bootloader. At this point the conection with active Sync is gone but my windows still detects it. ( I can hear the sound that plays when Windows detects a device in the usb). I clikc "next" and move along with the PDA Phone RUU. Then the RUU upgrade progress bar appears stuck at 0% and gives me ERROR[260]: CONNECTION.
I have to do a hard reset on my phone to get it to boot the OS.
I have also tried to flash with other ROMS but still get the same error in RUU.
Any help?
What OS are you using? Windows XP? Vista?
If you have Hard SPL V7 on your Hermes use the sd card method.
Format 2Gb or less sd card Fat32. Copy the .nbh file onto it and rename to hermimg.nbh. Put sd card back into Hermes and reset to bootloader. If all is right, follow the prompts.
Cheers...
I've used both xp and vista. still same result.
As far as using the microsd method, I have a 4gb sandisk microsd formatted to FAT32. Im geussing it has to be 2 gb or less?
Im still a little upset that this is happening. It stared doing this after I installed Tai's WM6.5 v9 rom.
On the XP machine do you have .net framework 3.5?
Also, you could try to download a custom RUU.
Cheers...

Click to collapse
put your phone in boot loader mode, connect the usb cable, you should then see usb on the bottom of the screen of the boot loader, now load the Rom you want
You forgot to untick "Allow USB Connections" in activesync and to have Hard SPL on the Hermes. If you don't have Hard SPL then you can only flash the Shipped stock rom.
Cheers...
imate ultimate 9502 stuck on "PLease reconnect to PC and run the upgrade again"
PROBLEM SOLVED!
hi guys,
any idea on this error, i have tried the posted solutions here, but nothing works. tried it on windows 7, windows xp. not connecting with activesync.
reason:
flashed 1.73 rom. then it went this way.
hard reset keys wont work.
when using XP, and running the 1.77, it will just say on the screen , "Sending data to mobile device, you can check the schedule on the device screen" but nothing happens..
on windows 7, it says Error 203. saying it was not connected via activesync.
any idea how to revive this phone.
thanks so much
disconect from pc
