i tested on my jasjar, no problems, but now many gusy have faced the problems after flush NEW ROM.
After flushed ROM, the device was Stucked on Splash Screen.
So you must know flushing ROM is dangarouse and do it as your own risk.
i can not take responsibilty.

However, some thai characters don't display especially thai characters in the third (top) row (I thought you known that thai language has 3 level of display). I'm very interesting to your work. Unfortunately , I can't read japanease. If anything help to improve this ,tell me.

i prefere use this font or another Unicode font.
But very few Unicode font has such like many Language support.
If they have, the size of Font will be 20MB or 30MB like a cyber unicode font.
i think if you thailand guys need correct one.

i got made Special tools with Buzz's tool. to unlock extrom for New Qtek<if cant unlock with old tool>
DL this one, and remove all previouse unlock tool if you use already.
<hard reset is better>
Install this can, the go to Start Menu and find Unlocker Icon,
And Excute this, make soft reset.
Mabe you can get Extrom free!

of course you can do that!
just replace wince.nls in ROM and inject Arabic font also into ROM,
then add the fontlink registry of default.hv.
thats all, if you upload Arabic font and registry and wince.nls here,
i can make you soo!

Imaginet Arabizer Suite 2.0 on WM5

Hi there,
Well I have flashed my BA with WM5 ROM and the device is working flawlessly. Since my device is the Arabic version of the PDA2K, my keyboard comes with Arabic input as well. The 2003SE ROM comes with preinstalled Imaginet Arabizer that enables Arabic input with keyboard, and makes it possible to use the Arabic language in applications such as Messaging and Notes.
Now, after I have flashed to WM5, the same cabs from the 2003SE will not run. I have tried to install it, but it gave me multiple errors and the device did not function properly. Therefore I downloaded and tried the IMAGiNET Pocket Arabizer Suite 2.0.

The suite is excellent and its the exact software used on the 2003SE, but its updated to work on the WM5 as well. The only problems im facing are:
1. The keyboard goes crazy whenever i try to write a text message in English. The keyboard is practically useless when I am writing the first line of the message, but when it goes to the second line the keyboard becomes fine!
2. I can not write in Arabic on the keyboard. On the 2003SE, all I had to do was press SHIFT then SPACE, and Arabic was then enabled on the keyboard, but this doesnt seem to work now.
3. I dont have caps lock anymore! i.e., when I press SHIFT twice (or even more) it doesnt recognize it as caps lock, but only as SHIFT.
So far these are the only bugs I found, I dont want to test it out further if nothing can be done about it! But incase there is a chance, does anyone know if something can be done about this? As you can see my problem so far is only with the keyboard, coz everything else seems to be working fine. Any help is appreciated

This is stable on wm5 although it is not version 2.0 it is just as good. I have a prayer times cab with Quran,tafseer , hijri calender and much more however this is big 8mb which i install on storage card however the server times out when i try to upload...you will have to make do with these.

Here is a quick guide, gathering information that has been exchanged and spread accross many threads on this forum (Searches can be fastidious, I know that well...)
I have been reading this forum a lot, keeping on asking questions to everybody, so it's time I contribute a bit to help by describing step by step how I switched my Japanese WM5 Softbank X01HT to a WM6 English device
This post is target at Gaijins who want an English WM6, but still want to be able to use Japanese with it. For a Japanese MUI or ROM, I guess Asukal will probably publish something

I was first willing to cook a ROM including all these, in order to spare some space on my HERMES. I had already cooked an "intermediary" one when Tadzio issued his method to make a "shrinked" OS ROM that would allow you to use the spare space from the ROM
Since this, no point in adding all these mods in my ROM
First: making flashing safe
Download Hard-SPL-V2 from the great Olipro to avoid bricking your device. Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
Install it
Then, get your ROM.
Download the_passenger ROM shrink version of LVSW 20070320 ROM (More space available) and install it (Read threads about flashing ROMs if you are not familiar with that...)

Install the Softbank AP Settings for your internet connection. You really WANT that. Big thanks to itamae without whom we'd be stuck on first of April this year... (Or I'd still be using WM5)

To allow the video Call key to appear on your phone keypad, modify the registry as follows:

I did have a problem with it: once I executed it, I could not sync with my Exchange server (Quite a pain for my push email account...)
Asukal found the solution: edit the registry, and change

Silent mode switch
You're going to be missing the Softbank unique way of switching to silent mode (Only available in Softbank ROM)

MMS
Softbank's MMS System is a pain because it's incompatible with "classic" MMS systems...
You can download Softbank's software... But... it's slow, big, bulky, ugly, etc... If you dont mind missing the emoticons, you should go for MMSLite
Regedit, Look for Arcsoft. Delete all references to Arcsoft (Sometimes need to be done in several times, some entries being in use if you have by mistake launched MMS Composer once since your flash of the OS...)
If you dont do these eletions, MMSLite will actually not install...

The only problem when upgrading is the Japanese input. I used sometimes (so I need it), but I I install Japanese input package you told in your post the I have a really annoying floating bat anywhere, and it's really unnoying.
There is no way to have same kind of input in enlish ROM?

I actually installed the Japanese ROM you linked to, it works like a charm, but I have a question to SoftBank users :
I'm going to work in Japan soon (1st of April) but I want to use my Hermes as my primary phone, etc. Is it possible to go to a SoftBank shop and tell them basically "Don't ask me how, but this phone is SoftBank-compatible. Now please register it into the SoftBank network and gimme a standard phone subscription. Thanks".
Meaning how can I register my phone (SIM card ? I looked and they seem to have only outrageously expensive SIM cards on loan for 108円 a day, with no 3G connectivity. Or is it possible to get a standard subscription?)?

Really? I don't get a floating bar.
Did you try it on a clean installation of WM6, or did you install it after installing the Bagojs IME? Maybe some settings in the registry are causing the bar to appear.
Also, did you set your locale to Japanese in "Control Panel->System->Regional Settings"?

- Install LetNo5 (Jp Font)
- Install BajosIME
- Install AkusakIME (on device) not in storage card

You shouldn't need to install both BagojsIME and Asukal's IME package, just Asukal's. BagojsIME provides an older version of the MS IME.

Use you own phone with SB
You can pick a ZERO Yen phone to do a new contract with SB. Then change the sime card to your onw phone. Suppose you have a sim-unlock phone.

I didnt have to install anything to get the Manner mode working. I think this is implemented in WMXL. But when i set the phone skin security to 1
my phone pad disappears, turns white. Renders unusable. The only fix for me is to set it back to 0.
This might be due to the carrier setting, it happens immediately after running SB external rom carrier info.
Any ideas?

Yep! That's right. If you're trying to install the cabs from i-mate then Imaginet's Arabizer is i-mate branded. Wait (a long time) for i-mate to release WM6 for JASJAM (if ever) or buy your own legit copy of the Arabizer suite.

Arabic on jasjam
Arabic runs with any WM6 version on the jasjam using the attached files (also available on imate jasjam Arabic ROM).
Procedure:
a- Mount your EXTROM using HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab.
b- Copy the files to the jasjam EXTROM.

Actually it is not necessary to install any extra fonts.
The way I do it is, I install Pocket Islam + Bukhari & Muslim hadeeth packages, I then install the 4 files mentioned above; afterwhich I perform the configuration.

at this moment, i'm uploading to you the Arabizer of the JasJam after upgrading to WM6. and it's working perfectly on any Rom. tried and working.

here you go the arabic system and also working arabic on keyboard.
Here you go, download the file, extract it. and move it to your storage card, and instal it in order of the numbers as from 1 to 17.
You have a full arabic working system and keyboard as well.

@ GSM system, “Please read the following carefully”.
After installing WM6 and all is well and the phone actually works:
1- Connect through the USB and copy the file (HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab) to a folder on the phone.
2- Now on the phone, click start menu --> Programs --> File Explorer and find the file (HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab) and click on it to install it.
3- Once installed, reset (reboot) your phone.
4- Once Windows up and running, you will notice through “Activesync” that you can see EXTROM folder and the files inside it.
5- Copy the 4 attached files to the EXTROM folder to run them from there.
6- Again, on the phone, click start menu --> Programs --> File Explorer and find the ExtROM folder, click on it to open and you will find the 4 files.
7- Install them one by one then reset your phone.
If the above description does not work for you, you need to write a step by step procedure of what exactly you are doing so that we may be able to tell you where you are going wrong.

I think with some wm6 roms (like the latest lsvw rom) the device is reset to be an htc tytn device instead of imate jasjam and that what is what is causing the message "cant be run on this device." As u notice when u upgrade to the latest lvsw rom, the device name is set to htc_tytn. This dose not happen on the latest black rom. This is just my thinking why is this happening. I hope someone can solve this issue as I am thinking of going back to black rom.

My device is T Mobile Vario II which is exactlly like the JasJam and the Tytn ..etc.
I tried more than 7 WM6 ROMS, and many ways of installing the Arabizer. but always
got broaken Arabic letters and the message
"can not run on this device"

The phone I have is an i-mate Jasjam, I have upgraded this phone more than 15 times between WM5, WM6, Radio and EXTROM. This is not the first Windows Mobile phone that I have neither it is the first time I install Arabic, In fact I had a role in Windows 98 and Windows 2000 Arabisation many moons ago.
My current configuration is: IPL=1.04, SPL=1.01 MFG, Radio=1.41, OS=WM6 17913 LVSW, EXTROM=cooked. I do not install a complete ROM, and I always install individual component using MTTY.EXE (except for the radio). Immediately after a new install, I fill in user and device info; I then install the Arabic software. Initially I had a problem with the Jasjam sliding keyboard until I identified files 3 and 4 responsible for its activation.
Please notice that:
1- If you manage to install i mate Arabic ROM (WM5)
JASJAM_Arabic_1.20.305.3_1.20.304.104_1.07.03.10_ship.zip available on ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/ . Arabic should be fully functional and we should no longer talk about hardware. Be very careful, things could go wrong.
2- If you install Pocket Islam suite, you will be able to view and type Arabic using the screen keyboard (there may be a RTL problem when writing Arabic).
3- You can install the Pocket Arabiser Suite from http://www.imaginet-software.com/index.aspx?p=arabizer. It should work with any windows mobile device, but the keyboard will not. You know what to do (files 3 and 4).
4- I am not sure if the Arabisation software checks for a Jasjam signature, if such, you may need to install one or all:

. . . Default_PP_KeyBoard_Layout.cab

5- Try a clean EXTROM with only Arabic files in it, in case particular files are preventing Arabic files from running.
6- Try the way I do it (review my previous post) it may work for you then you can uninstall the software you do not need.

Do not worry, if it works for me, it should work for you. Try the following:
1- Download the WM5 jasjam ROM from imate site (mentioned in my previous post).
2- Extract the EXTROM.nb file (this is the complete jasjam extended rom)
3- using MTTY.EXE install it to the phone like this:
USB> task 32
USB> lnb ExtROM.nb 57500000
USB> task 8
3- Ensure you have WM6 (preferably LVSW as it installs the extended rom automatically) is installed.
4- Press (Left Soft Key + Right Soft Key + Reset) all at once and install the whole lot.
5- If it does not install automatically, mount the EXTROM and run Autorun.exe.
I hope you understand that the problem is not in the method/s provided, the problem is in applying them (or your hardware, which is unlikely). Concentrate on using the exact files provided and ensuring the steps are followed carefully.
Now, please notice saying "i try any mathed to install arabic but dosen't work ...your mathed and more but no way so please if you can help me" does not help much. You need to list the exact steps you are executing, at what stage an error appears and the error message.
If all fails, see if you can install the full jasjam WM5 ROM and if Arabic works for you then, if it does not, you may have a Hardware fault.
Can you also tell us; when you bought the phone was Arabic installed on it?

You still did not come back with what I asked for, a step by step scenario and the error message!!
You need to do a lot of reading, please refer to:http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes and go through some tutorials.
Also to: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_BootloaderMFG where you will find mtty.exe inside the SPL-1.01MFG_Pack.zip file.
I can only tell you 4 points that may save you time when trying to connect:
1- The file you need to load using mtty must be .nb (like EXTROM.nb)
2- to be able to connect the device must be in the IPL SPL page (color screen) to get there press (Power button + OK button + reset) release the reset then the other two.
3- to be able to connect using mtty you must disable activesync USB connection, do the following: right click on the Activesync icon on the task bar, then click on Connection Settings... and uncheck Allow USB connections.
4- It is best to have the file you wish to upload to the phone in the same folder as mtty.exe.
You are now in dangerous territory, navigate very very carefully; you could end up damaging your phone, what you want to learn is not difficult and already on the forum. Make sure you read the WIKI properly and use the search option of this board.

sorry to disappoint but....
The bug with device not waking up after standby is back in this version - I've hard reset my device with the same ROM the version 2/3 worked on and it made it die... (rip)
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Heb3.zip version and it worked just fine.
did any of you succeed in making any java emulator work with this hebrew version? doesn't work for me...

i tried this cabs
it doesn't work, it asks to register the version and Hebrew is left to right
i installed first the certificate and then the main cab
i tried the cabs on abusalsa v.27 rom

its wierd cause i just added the control didnt really change much of it. meanwhile you can use the previous version with the hebcontrol.exe..ANYWAYS im trying to port wm6 hebrew from asus which will work much much better cause this one is based on wm5 .. coming soon..

its a known issue its probably cause your not using tytn

YES it works on any wm6.1 providing u r using tytn/hermes; if it does not match the certifacte store from tytn it will show hebrew backwards same on the original versions from the other threads..
BUT im working on herbew for-all-has-nothing-to-do-with-pdac version
