I posted my QTEK 9000 (unbranded) ROM there in the XDA FTP.
Can you backup your ROM first? What version do you have of Radio, ROM; Protocol, Extended ROM? It is under settings->system->device info

I am making a tutorial at home step-by-step on how to backup the existing ROM (OS & Extended_ROM) and how to restore it also.
After I make this, i will show you how to change your rom to the qtek one. If you can wait, that is.

Anyway Jorgee, I think that the point here is that there is not a shipped ROm for m5000, nor for V1640 either, so as long as this happens, I understand original ROMs in this phones cannot be installed back.
you can make a backup of the orig ROM, but no place to replace, I guess..
i have got uk m5000 (orange) - currently - no changes to software, just some programs installed.
i would like to make a back up, plus, afaik, there is not an orange m5000 uk rom, so i am prepared to share that.
on the other hand, is it worth installing unbranded rom? what are the advantages? Speed may be?

I don't think the SE will be available but the latest ROM (1.66) should be available at an official Proximus reseller.

You can also use the T-Mobile ROM, as I do.
It recognizes Base as Base and not as Orange, like the Qtek ROM does.

Hi guys,
I got an unlocked O2 XDA2 with a WWE O2 2.02 rom and radio 1.17, i need to make it work on belgian proximus network.
phones works ok but it seems The sms does not work, when i try to get in the phone setting it says phone not ready.
Any idea a rom i can use on it ?
i also need internet connexion parameters and mms if you got so for proximus.

Hi,
I upgraded my Qtek 2020 with the roms from xda2jojo.
If you just use his nk.nbf and radio.nbf, you can upgrade to rom 2.06 and radio 1.18, while keeping your original extended rom.

I am new here and I have bought a qtek 9000 xda II with german windows mobile 5.0 and I really want to unlock change the language to english. I have read that it has somethng to do wit downloading rom, but I dont now how to do itor wich one is the correct one. I would also like to unlock it since it is locked to t-mobile, but I ave not been able to find any software that worked. Is there anyone who can help me please.........?

Hi, I'm looking for the newest GER Rom for my Universal. At the moment I usw 1.20.34 GER with Radio 1.06. Has someone a download link for the newest GER Rom for me? Jwrightmcps 1.31.79 is only avaible in WWE at the moment But I still kepp the hope heÄll release a GER one

i figured out - for me personally - the qtek ROM (1.3x.xx) is the one i want.
do you know if its possible to flash a t-mobile branded one with a qtek ROM or will i get into deep trouble?!

Hi!
I did it. But its a litte hard: I downloaded this app: http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=65&Itemid=1 runned it on all 3 free files from the latest T-Mobile update, wrote down the Tags (Language etc) and afterwards I entered those informations into the Qtek update. So the update "beliefes" to be for a MDA pro...
I did it too I downloaded the last German version for Qtek 9000 (1.30.96) and installed it with the MaUpgradeUt_noID utility. I use the new version since 5 days now and it´s a lot more stable now and some extra features with it. I only updated the ROM and the Radio Version, not the extended Rom.

I am new to this forum. And i just wanted to know, out of all these rom updates which rom update is most suitable and stable for my imate JASJAR. When i was younger i downloaded an update which made my JASJAR WM6 but it is sort of laggy and has slight problems with recieving calls sometimes.
So, can i please get anyone's opinions, particularly people who have experience with this or even people who own an Imate JASJAR and have updated their own device..

jasjar is the same as Dopod 900 / Qtek 9000 / SFR v1640 / Vodafone v1640 / Vodafone VPA IV / T-Mobile MDA Pro / O2 Xda Exec / Orange SPV M5000 / Grundig GR980 / E-Plus PDA IV. So yes you are in the right section

Hi again
i have loaded the rom onto my Uni, synced all the contacts etc. BUT when i activate pin number, it says type in your pin number. I typed it in, (ie the pin number i used b4 rom update), but it doesnt recognise it.
Does this mean, there is a problem or has the pin number gone back to default?????
