Hi,
I have problems connecting to my bt headset since I have installed TomTom3. I am running the build3500 bluetooth stack from the 1.06.02 FRA radio. It was working fine without even losing connection with the mda, but after I installed tomtom, it can pair, but cannot connect. The weird thing is that I can sync using bluetooth. I suspect tomtom is keeping busy some of the bt com ports? i noticed that during installation, it required to close bluetooth (cause it said the file BtcoreIf.dll was in use) and as soon as I did that, it finished installation, but since then the headset stopped working. Anyone has similar problems??
Thanks in advance for any input.
Update
Managed to sort it out by upgrading my BT stack to 1.0.0.3900. Still cannot find any similar complaints in any forums. Can it just happen to my MDA III? Who knows....at least it works now, even if my engineering background is not happy with it
Upgrading the bluetooth stack
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem as you had, although I'm on the UK network Vodafone and have an XDA2s.
My current radio version is 1.06.02 but I can't fine what version my bluetooth stack is. How do I upgrade to 1.0.0.3900?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Hi,
I am using Qtek9090 with TomTom 3.07 and Jabra BT800 headset and have not the problems you people talk about here. I have to mention that I immediately updated my BT version from 2400 to 3900 the same day I purchased the whole stuff. I was - when I was in the shop - told that TomTom 3.07 can sometimes cause problems due to BT version of Qtek (1.0.0.2400) and I better upgrade it to 3500 and/or 3900. I was also told that there were known problems with earlier versions of TomTom wireless (like in your case TomTom 3.03) and that I (at least) had to use TT 3.07 and/or better upgrade the BT driver of my Qtek9090. In order to find your current BT version:
- Click on Bluetooth icon
- Select Bluetooth Settings
- Go to [About] tab
- And there you see your own Build
- You can also select [Advanced] button in [About] for more details
Anyway, once being at home and taking my device out of package I did a BT upgrade to 1.0.0.3900 right away and so far I have no issue with BT stack. Even Jabra BT800 which a lot people complain about works fine with my Qtek9090 (OK, I admit the CallerID at Jabra still not working but I already expected that).
I downloaded the 3900 version of Bluetooth driver (plus another Audio driver) at the following URL in The Netherlands: http://www.pdanieuws.nl/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=37

tomtom gps
The problem is that tomtom is messing around a bit with bluetooth for bt gps receivers.
So after installing tomtom allways reinstall the latest bt drivers.
AFAIK you should always use TTN 3.07 (GPS and Navigator) on SE and Phone Edition devices (Blue Angels is both WM2003SE and Phone Edition)
Big Fat TY
I was getting stupid before reading this 3d.
Even went back to the shop with the motorola headset and had them show me it was working....
Tom Tom was the reason.

Hello
I have a Seat Leon with preinstalled bluetooth in-car.
I used to have dutty v1 installed on my hermes and everything was great!
When I installed Black 2.5 then I was able to pair the phone with the car but after a minute the connection is dropped.
same problem happens with dutty v2 and the newest lvsw
you know what is wrong with the new version? newest bluetooth?
any ideas?
i was going to start o similar topic... but i've seen yours... the reason... happy with wm6 and the car kit
so.. i have o parrot 3400LS-GPS car kit... and when i conected the phone to it for the first time it showed the signal strength and battery state... with wm5 i had nothing.... and the coolest thing is that i have also carrier's name... at first it was eandomly shown... but i think i figured it out... if it is on 3g it does not display the carrier's name... but on gsm it does... BUT if i disable the longnameprefix in regedit it also shows the carrier on 3g.. but on this i still got to test....
anyway no BT drops...
spv m3100
radio 1.41.
hardspl 2.10 oli
dutty v2 premium
Same on Audi A6, Black 2.5 (and latest LVSW) drop BT connection. Sucks.
i guess microsoft broke some compatability with this os build in a few weeks there might be a new os build....heh
Same issue here
working with an older version of LSVW (can't recall which one) and a 2006 Audi S4 -- pairs fine, shows signal strenght and other details not shown with WM 5.0, but drops and reconnects randomly. Very irritating. I don't use bluetooth anymore in my car -- a tremendous shame.

Hi, I don't know if this will solve your problem but here goes anyway. When I first got my phone (Orange SPV M3100), I could not connect to installed BT system in my Audi A4. I understand from what I have read that this is due to a slight difference in BT specification used by WM to that used by mobile phone manufactures. I had similar problems as you describe above - all fixed since I installed software from JetWare (use google to find). Hope this helps.

hrmm, I'll try that too but my question is that my phone used to work just fine, now with the latest rom the problems with bluetooth started, that's what I am pointing out.
Hi all.
I've a Seat Leon too, with bt integrated.
Since i upgraded to first WM6, i have no problems with hands free, but i must get the PDA on. If i put PDA off, BT starts to disconnects and reconnects, and finally BT goes off.
With all WM5 i've tested, the BT disconnects and reconnects every time with the PDA on.
Think there is an issue with the way the handsfree get info from the phone, cause normal phone works without this issue.
Regards.
Im also using Pro 2.5 and have noticed that my BT for my Handsfree car kit is playing up. I can connect and it works but when I leave the car and come back I need to shut down and then restart Bluetooth to reconnect. Bit of a pain atm.
try the widcomm stack
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1234724&postcount=507
Also having problems, Parrot Rhythm 'n Blue, it droppes during calls and reconnects after a minute (not always).
I already use Jetware, so I fear that doesn't do the trick. According to the reactions in this thread this really seems to be a problem...

Ok thanx, I'll try that and report back...
It's the BT implementation in the phone (either HTC or Microsoft), other phones work fine. Anyho: for me the previous LVSW (03-26) works fine and since I don't need the other 'stuff', I'm using that release.

as said: I use the jetware software already and got the same problems... not always, but frequently.
I'm currently using Black 2.5 w/an '07 Infiniti FX and have zero dropout issues. I love it actually, I got in my car this morning and it reconnected automatically when I got a phone call, no problem

guys, finally the jetware did the job, the bluetooth stopped on keep disconnecting, let's hope that MS will fix the problem on the next release.
Hi all, another SEAT Leon driver with bluetooth handsfree problems here
My Vodafone v1605 suffered the dropout problem when it was on the stock Vodafone ROM.
I used the WM Black 2.0 ROM for about a day before the 2.5 ROM came out and didn't suffer the problem.
Since going to Black 2.5 I have suffered the problem intermittently. When the phone is running on battery it frequently disconnects/reconnects. However it appears to be pretty stable when on charge in the Brodit powered mount. I would guess that the major difference is that when on charge the phone doesn't go into standby mode.
I am tempted to go back to 2.0 and test for a while longer, especially as my device code has been updated with 2.5 so TomTom is not currently activated
Hello!
I do not know if someone has the same issue. I upgraded the WM6 to my HTC 8525 and bluetooth just keeps disconnecting all the time. It happened without any reason at all. I am using "Plantronics 510". The headset is fine, just phone switches the bluetooth off and I need to go to settings to switch it back on. I saw some people have a problem with car-enabled bluetooth. Not sure if it is the same problem.
Any advice? Does someone get the same problem? Any patch or solution?
Thank you!

which WM6 ROM are you using?
I had this problem with my Audi A4 car phone. The ROM versions using build Build 17745.0.2.3 were not good for that. Now, I'm using the Black Majik ROM and that works like a dream for the BT connections.

Multiple AT&T/HTC WM6 ROMs?
My 8525 with the WM6 ROM can no longer route the audio to the BT headset (a Moto HS850 - but this is irrelevant, I suspect).
Basic BT headset usage was fine with WM5 (excepting the known issues with VoiceCommand).
I thought that perhaps the issue was related to the various little registry tweaks and sw patches. However, I had to do a reflash (for other reasons) and currently have just the default WM6, no registry tweaks, no BT sw patches, and MS VoiceCommand 1.6 installed (but set to NOT use the BT headset).
Pairing works fine. So does activation recognition (i.e. the little headset appears in the notification area when I open the boom on the headset and I can hear the background establishment of the BT channel). But audio (dialing tones and Connected call audio) do not reach the headset. The audio also doesn't go to the phone's speaker.
So, are the official ROM updates that repair this? Or, is the cost of going to WM6 the abandonment of BT headsets?
By the way, VoiceCommand 1.6 works fine--if I tell it to stay away from the BT headset.
Pays WM6 Roms
I had the same BT disconnecting problems with my original german Vodafone WM5 and also still have them with Pays WM6 ROMs (2.02 - 2.15) in my Audi A6 MMI.
With the original german HTC WM6 ROM BT worked very well.
Everything else on Pays ROMs is really great. He´s doing great jobs.
Any idea?
I have the same problem with my 8525 and I use plantronics 520. It did the same thing even with other headset too, and also happens in WM5.0, 6.0 and 6.1.
I am tending to believe its a hardware issue, but dont know how to prove it!

Come On, experts on the XDA portal, no solution?? noooo way!!??
My friend had the same issue with an tytn2 and last schap's rom in french language.
After an hard reset i get BT work fine with his OPEL.
But before i made lot of test desinstalling soft check registery key with no result. I still do know why BT was disconecting woth no reason.
Cheers.
Audi Bluetooth hands free
I had the same problems in wm6 with some roms.
I use the official HTC TyTn wm6 with excelents results, also Schaps 4.31 work very good (No disconection at all).
Now I am using Pay WWE 4.30 with many disconections.
BTW I have the audi TT bluetooth option.
On my 8525 Hermes I use the latest Pays Rom and it was disconnecting all the time (Parrot BT) - BUT then I decided to TURN OFF THE WAN and it improved greatly. Other thing I noticed is that the Hermes has to be in DIRECT LINE OF SITE of the BT device at all times or it is erratic.
BT
It seems there are differences in the WM6 versions. As said earlier in this thread for me original HTC and Schaps WM6 ROM versions are running without any BT disconnections.
Tried several WM6.1 versions now and every single one is working fine with my Audi MMI.
Similar problems handing BT control between applications
Hi all, I've been experiencing similar problems since changing ROMs. Originally with Schaps 3.60a I was able to make a call whilst listening to music all using my BT headphones. The Call would pause the music & resume afterward. It worked great! However since changing to Schaps 4.0, 4.2 & now CRC's PHKv12r9, I've never had the same. On a couple of rare occasions it has all worked fine but more often the bluetooth has to be turned off & back on again to reconnect. it seems to relate to what other programs are also running. I suspect there must be registry settings which control the bluetooth operational modes which are brought into play by the various programs running.
I have a bluetrek S2 headset, Since I flashed my MDAC III to WM6(B&B) I'm having problems keeping the headset and my device paired. I flashed WM6.1(B&B5.0) to the device but the problem still exist. I can pair them to each oter, and everything works fine. When I turn of the headset( to recharge or to save battery) The connection is lost the next time I turn it back on, I do have to pair them again. First I tough it was my headsets problem, but then I tried to pair a BT GPS mouse, the same result. I have the same problem pairing this GPS with other devices(TyTN, iMate Jamin) running WM6. Does anyone know how to fix this bluetooth problem I'm having?
There might be a connection here (no pun intended). For quite sometime, I was using an old SE637 phone and had it working flawlessly with my Garmin c550 GPS.
During an hour and a half trip yesterday, the Garmin notified me 3 times that the bluetooth connection with the Tilt was lost (the SE profile had already been removed from the Garmin). I never saw this message before with the SE. FWIW, the 2 devices are no more than 2 or 3 feet apart at all times, and neither of them are physically touched during the trip. I'm concerned that this might be an HTC problem. Any thoughts?

Same problem here
I have just received a new HTC TyTN II on Orange that has the same problem. My old one (windows mobile 6.0) had no problem with my Motorola H12, but the new one (Windows Mobile 6.1) can't keep the pairing, and I have to turn Bluetooth on an off to get the connection. Always have to enter the passcode.
Version data is:
CE OS 5.2.19212 (Build 19212.1.0.3)
Processor: MSM7200-400MHz
ROM version 1.65.16.25
G 25.83.40.02H
D 3.28.00.00
Any help /advice much appreciated!

Fixed itself...
This seems now to have fixed itself - I had to enter the password twice in a row for some reason and then it worked properly. So now all happy...
Windows Mobile 6.1 rocks...
I have problems with my Bluetooth and the paired device in the car with almost every recent ROM.
After about 10 minutes driving with a connected phone, the Bluetooth shuts down on my Diamond. When I go to Settings -> ... > Bluetooth -> Mode -> Turn on Bluetooth is unchecked. If I check it again it connects again with the phone and about 10 minutes later it's off again.
I went back to the RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.93.479.3_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe. It's against my feelings, believe, etc. but I want to solve it .....
I installed Advanced Configuration Tool (3.0), went to Bluetooth -> Audio gateway power save and Disabled it. I did it because I was reading about suspended devices and power save features. I thought that the loss of Bluetooth is been caused by a saving power feature.
After a soft reset, the Bluetooth stays connected.
It's a start, but I'm not happy with it ... I would like to use cooked ROM's and optimal settings in the ROM.
There are other tweaks too in Bluetooth, for example the supported bitpool, etc. Perhaps those settings cause the shutdown of a connected Bluetooth device instaed of the power save feature.
Has anyone this kind of problems too with paired Bluetooth devices?
If so, would you like to help me to find the cause?
If not, can you describe what device you use (Jabra, TomTom, car radio, etc.), which ROM, which radio and extra tweaks?
Hi
I do have the same problem. I am using my Diamond with my Opel Astra (Vauxhall) and a CD70 radio with built in handsfree (Opel UHP). It disconnects after 10 minutes and after calls. Everything else works fine. Changing rom and radios has not helped so far. If I don't close the comm manager it stays connected but disconnects after a call because the comm manager is closed with the end of the call. Is there a way to force the comm manager not to close?

This "comm manager" thing is interesting, but it looks to me like an Opel issue.

That's an option, but my Trinity (P3600) performed great with the same car. Will an upgrade solve my problems? I know one thing, it's not cheap either.
I tried it with different ROM's, but it still happens.
I tried it with different radio's, nothing changed.
Till today, I've got now the new radio (v1.05.25.BS14).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432770
It has fixed the delays in GPS + faster GPS fix and more important fo me Bluetooth didn't stop today.
I'm sure 100% sure yet, but seems to be better.
I got something to complain too about the new radio. The radio signal is less strong than the .05 radio.
Same problem here
My Vectra is equipped with CD70.
Previously I've owned a Kaiser and the problem was solved by one of the 6.1 radios, bluetooth connection was rock solid.
Right now I have the same problem with Diamond - after every single phone connection, when I'll hangup, the phone disconnects CD70. When I'll try to reconnect manually using CD70 everything is fine.
I've noticed that the same problem exists when I'm using Nokia bluetooth headset - one call, bluetooth connection dropped...
I've tried following Diamond radios:
.05
.07
.08
.BS14
and two Raphael radios by Bepe:
1.03.25.18
1.02.25.11
Each Diamond radio behaves the same way. Each Raphael radio adds a bonus - random bluetooth connection problems.
Right now I'm back with .05, I think I'll look for the software I've seen once (can't recall the name) - it's a PDA application designed for connecting to the car bluetooth systems and it has been cerftified to work fine with CD70.
Use Jetware Mobile for htc-diamond.
jetware
That's the software I couldn't remember the name.
Anyway I gave it a shot and it gets even worse, I couldnt get the connection lasting longer then 2-3 minutes, totally unstable
Right now I got back to radio .08 - the bluetooth link is rock solid, I guess I'll just need to get used to reconnecting after each phone call
Same bluetooth system in my car, same problems as you guys.
To avoid the disconnections after calls you need to go, with 'Advanced Config' to bluetooth->Audio gateway power save, and switch it to disabled.
For me this little change solve the 'first' problem, but I have another one that I don't know how to solve: the aparently random bluetooth disconections. Sometimes BT is not disconnected in hours, sometimes in days.
I am also using Jetware Mobile, but i didn't feel any improve...
The random ones depend on the radio rom version - I was using .05 and it was rock solid.
I will try .16 with audio gateway started and with power save disabled as you advised - I thought about it earler but previously I tried to disable the power save without enabling audiogateway service
Well, we will see if it works or not.
Hi,
I also have a Vectra CD/70 combination, for 2 yrs now.
I had a HTC3300 and 2years i had not a single problem with Bluetooth connection.
Now i have a HTC Diamond Touch Pro and have the same problems you guys have.
I tried all your suggestions, radio's and so on with no good result.
The good news is .. its an Opel problem and it seems to be that a Bluetooth Firmware Upgrade is available from Opel Germany. I just contacted my dealer and next week he will Upgrade my bluetooth firmware.
I will keep you guys informed.
Hello,
had the same problem with my Opel CD70.
Using Jetware Mobile and limited the entrys who copied to the car to a max. of 5. Also disable the call lists. Now it works.
I think the Opel/Vauxhall Bluetooth Connection disabels if to many entries are copied to the car.
Hello,
any News about our Bluetooth Problem ???
I also have a CD70 from Opel and I cannot understand why my Diamond swich of Bluetooth after a while ?
Is it an Opel-Problem or does anybody now an Application which helps ?
Thanks a lot for Your help,

Hi,
I am currently using BTrestore (http://home.casema.nl/rgschmidt/WM/Downloads/BTRestore_V_1_0_0_PPC.ARMV4.CAB). This utility checks the status of the bluetooth stack every 5 secs and (re)enables it everytime it's down. It seems that the 5 secs are short enough to keep the phone connected. It's not a real solution and unfortunately this tool is sometimes instable too, but it absolutely extends the connection time with the UHP.
Maybe bullock can tell us if the carkit upgrade solves anything...??
I also created a ticket at HTC, but they refuse to troubleshoot user specific issues. They told me they only look into issues if they get enough calls from different users and to keep an eye on the update site (they seem to be able to solve issues without knowing what the actual issue is...). So I would encourage everyone here to create a HTC ticket for this issue. I still think it is an HTC issue: a bluetooth stack should never go down without any user intervention.
Good luck!
BTrestart and Jetware Mobile doesn`t help, my Touch diamond disconnect again from Opel CD70 and swiched off Bluetooth !
Can anybody help ?
Sorry guys, the OpelDealer is still "searching" for the Bluetooth upgrade.
After several phonecalls maybe next week (1st week of Febr) it will be made available to the dealer.
Like i said ... i willl keep you informed ... still have this lousy problem !!
..does anybody use the new Rom 2.03 ? Any difference ?
I also asked my Opel-Dealer for an Update of UHP, next week I 'll get new Information....
... well guys I had my CD70 updated !! I am/was very sceptical because the only thing they did was a re-install of the Language of the Navi System with a version 2005 CD. I asked if that was all to correct my Bluetooth problem .... the (smiling) answer was YES.
I have it now for 24hrs ...... and Bluetooth is still on )
I will let you know the result after a week !!
..i can't beleave it works with a 2005-update ! Great !
My Opel-Dealer is still busy in selling 10 Opel Corsa every day (..the magic word is "Abwrackprämie") , so I'll have a date there next week...
When I bought my Vectra the dealer had also to reinstall the Language-CD, maybey it was the wrong version....
...... Sorry guys ......
This update DOES not do the magic trick !! So we have to find another solution
who has the right idea ??
