Problem with Bootloader of SPV E200 (Qtek8080) - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi,
I have an Old SPV E200. My problem is that my bootloader is in version 1.05 and all the updates you can found on the net are working only with version 1.07. When I try to update my ROM, I become an error message 113 and the progress bar stay down at 0%
So I tried to update my Bootloader, but to do it, I need to have some files they contain the bootloader : eboot.bin & chain.lst
So, can someone help me? Has someone this files (from your SPV e200, I think they are visible in the memory of the phone) or can someone explain me how to update my ROM or my Bootloader in an alternative way?
Thanks in advance for your interest

Re: Warning to Universal Users !!! Do not upgrade to AKU2 if
"Warning to Universal Users !!! Do not upgrade to AKU2 if you have bootloader v0.56 on your device, DO NOT upgrade to an AKU2 or you will turn it into a paperweight!
To check your bootloader, hold the light key, power key and press the reset button. If it says v1.00 then you don't need to worry. If it says v0.56, you must not upgrade to AKU2. If you do, the only way to fix it is to flash back to a pre-AKU2 rom or upgrade your bootloader to v1.00 (which is currenty not possible publically).
How do I know this? Personal experience and a good friend with a lot of technical know-how."
just to let you know, i've edited the article to expand on what actually happened and how i came to find that out
I have a 0.6 boot loader
Will 0.6 boot loader upgrade to the new rom or not?
I have 0.6 Bootloader and newest Qtek rom works fine.
Me too....3 Unis, all of them hv 0.6 and are running latest O2 ROM...
Once again I reapt..while flashing I hv always put them in Bootloader mode manually first and then flashed...always
sh!t
Great... just ran the update on my XDA Exec (not sure about my bootloader version), after the phone rebooted during the first mins, I got an error msg on the PC.
Now the phone won't power up, not even show any light indications when charger plugged!
Damn!
I have the problem because i have this rom and spent a lot of time to try to flash the new AKU2 rom.
I sent a post HERE
but nobody answer
And HERE
Have some responses
And now what can I do to uprade my bootloader to 1.00 ?
if you stack on Bootloader, possiblity of recover it by this post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=254595#254595
if stack on the SPlash Screen, seems to be no solution now.
My Exec also stucked Splash. Bootloader Ver.1.0
My Jasjar Bootloader Ver0.60 is still alive, sometimes stucked on Bootloader after flash ROM, but can escape with the tool on that link
Thank but I don't enderstand, my Universal is working well on old rom but not with AKU2 rom.
Now I have to change the bootloader version ton 1.00
Do you know how ?
Thanks

what is a "light key"
Re: what is "light key" ??
here is another link to 1.01 bootloader
ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/JASJAR_BL1.01_RUU_V1.2.zip
I have not tried it.
HTC sais that you need to upgrade to it from 1.0 if you don't see text "Serial V1.0" on screen after entering bootloader. Though bootloader works fine even without this message.
I can confirm the freezing on bootscren is still there evern after ugradation to 1.01..don't know why...I guess a bad DOC...but if it is a bad DOC then why it accepts the flash?

Problem upgrading back to Vodafone ROM

Hi guys,
I've a problem to restore the original firmware of my VODAFONE V1640.
My PDA accept all the possible ROMs (from official I-MATE to AKU releases) but it don't accept the original VODAFONE ROM.
The problem is that, after upgrading the PDA with VODAFONE ROM the PDA remain blocked on splash screen with ROM version.
No soft/hard reset can solve the problem. To unblock the PDA I've to put it in bootloader mode and upload another ROM...any kind but not a VODAFONE ROM.
Any ideas to solve that issue? Is it possible that this problem is due to I've unlocked the EXT.ROM?
Thank you.
Pablo

Have you emptied the extrom before you flashed Vodafone rom? If not (and there were several files as programs etc) the flash could be failed because branded roms have specific extrom.

Hi,
yes, the EXTROM is completely empty, moreover the upgrade process is always SUCCESSFULL, no error messages.
I had one idea regaring extrom. After I flashed my V1640 with the IMATE rom, I've cracked the extrom to use it as storage memory. Do you think this can be the problem? An extrom unlocked can be restored to his original (locked) status?
Thank you.

Hi
I think complete branded roms (CE rom, extrom, radio rom together) must restore the hidden extrom condition.
Just some spot ideas:
do you put your device into bootloader before flash?
which bootloader version you have?
make a hardreset before flash
has your device been unlocked? (if yes I do not know what to do )
may your flash file be corrupted?
did you try to use maupgradenoid? (of course only if the flash file is not one exe)
did you do a hardreset after flash? (2 softkey and reset simultaneously then press zero)
good luck

Hi Dredd,
regarding your spot ideas:
1) Yes I've put the device into bootloader before flash
2) Version 2.01
3) Hard Reset before flash done
4) My device was not locked, VODAFONE ITALIA didn't lock it...I've just unlocked the EXTROM
5) Nope, other guys used it without problems
6) Yes I used both ROMUPG and MAUPG...same (unsuccessfull) results
7) Yes I did it...same (unsuccessfull) results

Hi guys,
could it be a solution to upgrade back the bootloader? Any other ideas?

Do Not flash your Artemis with a different carrier/cooked Rom without cid unlocking

Noobs beware!
As a number have been flashing their devices with various roms not from their own carrier or country or cooked roms and bricking their device - I put up this sticky. Your device must be cid unlocked first before you do this. This applies to the coming wm6 roms to - if the rom is not specific to your device - i.e. if you try to flash the upcoming htc 3300 wm6 rom on O2 orbit - you must cid unlock first - with imei check or you will end up with a BRICK!
This does not apply if you are only updating the os http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299154 or radio.
cid = country id i.e. locked to that country/language/vendor
cid unlock for the artemis is here with USPL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403 (thanks pof)
or here http://www.imei-check.com/c3unlock.php (costs though)
Bricked devices
If you have flashed your device and not cid unlocked it, your device maybe salvagable if you can get it into bootloader mode.
Hold down the voice speed dial button and soft reset - you should then enter bootloader mode 'multicolored' screen'
If you do, attach device to pc via usb cable (a small usb will appear bottom left of screen) and flash factory rom. (run rom executable or RUU updater from pc) You do not need to be activesynced to do this.

Before you flash again with a non-factory rom, your device MUST be cid unlocked.
If you cannot enter bootloader mode your bootloader has been damaged and your device will need to be sent away for repair.
Hi Folks,
Firstly many thanks for everyone's freely given time! Great Forum!
There seems to be a lot of confusion about who and what can be flashed with the German official ROM and then with Bepe's creation.
Can we try to clear some of the ambiguity for us simple folk? Might stop some of the repeated questions littering threads in both related artemis sections.
So, many thanks to anyone who can clarify the situation by providing definitive answers to the following questions!
(1) Can an 02 Orbit from, say, the UK or Holland be flashed with either the German and/or Bepe's ROM, even if it is CID Locked (i.e. same devcie and carrier, different country).
(2) Can a non-Orbit O2 device be flashed with either the German or bepe's ROM, even if it is CID Locked (i.e. different devcie but same carrier).
(3) Is there a fall back Rom available for non-German O2 Orbits should the upgrade fail?
Again, many thanks for your time.
Cheers - Adam.

any help anyone ?
By what i read "wrong vendor" means CID locked right ? but what EXACTLY is CID locked definition ?? i CAN put any sim card inside my HTC P-3300, whether from SFR operator (france) or Proximus (belgium) one... so why do i have this wrong vendor when trying to upgrade to WM6 german rom ?
Take a look to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299154 I tried it, and now I have wm6 on my HTC P3300, it's true that you can't have upgrades to radio or extrom, but meanwhile I can use wm6

My HTC has no vendor since I can use all SIMs from different vendors, now I upgraded from HTC Spanish version to HTC WWE version, so Vendor and Language (plus location?) locks are disabled?

Hello,
I would like to Upgrade my O2 XDA Mini S with Windows Mobile 6 (localized / German version). I hardly searched for such a WM6 Upgrade but there seems to be no final version for my device and german language.
I figured out that there is an WM6 OS Upgrade for the XDA Orbit and XDA Trion (coming soon). Might it be possible to flash only an OS-ROM for WM6 extracted from one of these O2 ROM updates? I was able to extract the OS-Image and I already backed up my current ROM using aWizard. aWizard also supports flashing a single OS-ROM only.
Some people in this forum already said I might brick my device. Is it possible or not to flash the OS ROM? Is it risky to give it a try?
Do you know a final working German Upgrade for the XDA Mini S (Qtek 9100)?
Best Regards
Gabriel
Hello
I am in Bootloader mode right now and I started the updater but it says it can't connect. I see the device in Windows and my Artemis says it sees a USB connection (it says "USB" on the bottom of the screen in the white stripe).
What do I have to do for it to start working for a change?
I think I found the problem: First, it would be wise to close mtty . Then it is important to reboot and after entering Bootloader mode to connect USB not while booting. After trying it a dozen times it suddenly worked.
Please, could someone explain how I can unlock the CID with USPL? It starts the batch, when it's done I have a black screen with the Linux penguin and it says loaded. When the RUU tries to connect, though, the device doesn't respond. So I take it the process doesn't actually get finished...
I think this sticky has become useless, there is a reasonably fool-proof way to flash CID locked devices these days
Hi I Try To Flash My Htc P3300 (bricked) With Factory Roms And Negative Result The Process Stop At 2%.
Can Anybody Help ?
Just to inform you guys that i tried the USPL Method 3 times and always got an error message UPDATE ERROR (i think it was error number 270 ??).
Well, that was because after the DOS mode went until 100, and the dialog box for the ROM Update Utility appeared, this dialog box ask to wait for the PDA to be activesynced before presing the "UPDATE", so i was waiting for the PDA to reconnect to activesync (while in a black screen mode) before pressing update . THAT was the mistake. Don't wait for it to RE connect to activesync (strange right ?) and just press the NEXT and UPDATE without waiting anything.
THEN it worked i just upgrade to WM6 without VENDOR ID error anymore thanks to the USPL method
just got a dopod m700 for my wife i know it is a g4 ppc hence will this zip file work on it to get the cid unlocked or do i have to follow a similiar procedure as i had to for my wizard
sorry i got my answer
please ignore my earlier question

Last night I flash my Dopod M700 to WM6 but after reboot it only enter to the boot flash screen showing IPL SPL 1.11 OS 3.7 etc......
I did unlock the CID but the flashing of WM6 seems not ok.
Then I enter to the bootloader mood and flash the WWE WM5.0 of HTC M700 rom. It did turn the M700 back to WM5.0 and then I flash it with WM 6.0 again.
However, I forgot to unlock CID again before flashing. Then now the device stuck in the boot screen with SPL 1.28 OS 3.7 etc......
I still can enter to bootloader mood, but I have tried to heal the device by flashing it with the WWE WM 5.0 rom of HTC M700 again. But it cannot be flashed again!!!! Error message came out that the rom is not for my device!!
Help!!!!!!!!!
Is the wm5 wwe rom the factory rom for your device or are you from another country?

Stuck In BootLoader After Trying To Install D810 Official ROM

Hi All,
My P3600 is stuck in bootloader after trying to install the official D810 ROM. I used the CID unlock install first, which seemed to work fine, I then tried to install the D810 ROM and it looked like it was working, but stopped at 28% with some kind of communications problem. Recovery does not work... it displays the progress bar, but then goes straight back to the rainbow bootloader screen.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Rael
Phew... got it working. I removed the battery and replaced, boot loader was still displayed, and then ran the old official WM5 update which seemed to progress from 0 to 100% sucessfully.
Thanks
Rael
Your phone was relocked by the update, and I'm guessing you don't have an actual D810 that's supposed to get this update. The best method to flash this is to follow my post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316410
oops, you can use hard SPL in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299659
i got the problem like you when i upgrade my device to wm6 officiel.
After you flash hard SPL Olipro, you can use PC to flash again another rom you like.
(sorry for my worth english)...
People just do NOT know how to read...sigh.

HELP: Cooked ROMS won't flash

I have Orange branded spv m700 and have unlocked and supercid'd the device using pof's tool. I then added HardSpl (Olipro 1.20). All appear to have loaded fine - phone is unlocked and Olipro shows up when put into bootloader.
So, the problem - every time I flash a cooked ROM (Ausdim, NiAx, FiNixNover...?) it won't boot past the first screen. I can rescue the situation by putting device into bootloader and flashing the official WM6 ROM (no radio, no ipl....) and it boots up just fine.
Can anybody help or at least point me in the direction of some good advice?
hmm... odd... can you list step by step what your procedure is for flashing the ROMs
I've done lots of devices - old XDA2i, SPVM600, wifes SPV M700 (unlocked, hard spl etc and flashed away!
This particular device shows IPL 0.50 & SPL 1.20 Olipro. It is unlocked (have o2 sim working in it), and should be SuperCid (I checked the box and radio shows as 1.16.00.00 - pof's patch I believe?). I also re-run HardSpl and Pof's unlock/supercid patch just in case it hadn't flashed properly.
I generally just download ROM and flash via RUU. Occasionally I get the device not responding error so I just re-run RUU from the bootloader screen.
Have tried WM 6.1 and 6.0 cooked roms but all show initial boot screen (numbers along bottom) next screen and then frozen, have waited and waited and nothing. Also, it would not flash back to Mozzers WM5 Orange UK ROM - same symptoms. I thought it was bricked, but the Dopod WM6 flashed perfectly.
Hope that helps - thanks for looking into my problem.
anybody please? por favor........
hmm.. i remember someone having a similar problem but it was some time ago..
two things to try just in case...
1) i'd manually go to bootloader (hard-spl) before flashing
2) Have you tried to flash from SD card? this method seems to provide less problems..
let me know how it goes..
A degree of success - managed to flash WM6 AX3L. All seems to be working. As I recall this is very similar to the official ROM and I used to use it last year because it is very stable. Think I moved on because of the missing email accounts problem. Will happily keep it if I can sort the email problem out. Never really had much fun with the hard reset after loading method - is there another/better way? Just wondering.
Also, now I have a "cooked" rom loaded perhaps it will stop being so sensitive.....!!
How strange! Have just flashed Akeo's new Diamond port ROM and no problems. Not only that, the ROM is FAB!!!
