Hi,
Once I manage to pair my plantronics M3000 BT headset with my XDA 2s
I get the info bubble telling me it's connected to the headset etc, then I turn
off the XDA with the power button and as if by magic at some random
period between 1 min and 5 mins it turns back on?
any idea why this keeps happening?
If I turn it back off again, it will switch on again after a while?
This all assumes I've got past the memory error by a soft reset or stopping all running programs.
Sigh!
Thanks
Mike

Would you like to post your Radio and BT Stack versions? I had exactly the same problem with a SonyEricsson HBH-200. I was running Radio 1.00.00 (T-Mobile UK). I cannot remember the BT stack version, however, I have installed the BT Stack Build 3500, and it works perfectly. At a later stage, I upgraded to stack 3900 because of some issues with TomTom. Both 3500 and 3900 work beatifully for me, and the sound quality is remarkably better than with the original BT stack. Have a look at WiKi for BT updates, it's all there
Good luck and keep us updated!
With BT headset paired, XDA keeps turning on?

Yes. That happens. Have tried 4 different headset and several differnt BT Stack versions. Always happens
I have now installed NiceStart by TranCreative which can be used to prevent unwanted powerons.
I have two BT headsets. A Jabra 200 and a Motorola HS850. In both cases, people who I call are reporting that they both sound quite and distant.
Has anyone else noticed this and if so, what was the cure.
I am running 3900 BT stack and the microphone AGC is turned on.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and couldn't see anything.
Regards
whats your radio version?
1.02 seems to suffer quite bad ..
should upgrade radio to 1.12
The Radio is 1.06.00 - does this also have problems??
Have a look here:

I have the HS850 working perfectly.
Check my .sig for my config.
Really interested in the artemis due to its fm radio and Gps....what's the Radio like?...Is it anygood?
I tried the radio on the o2 atom and found it rubbish is the artemis any better?
Also does anyone have any screenshots of the radio app in action
Cheers
FM Radio
Just got my P3300. I have to say after 7 PPC Phones this is by far the best. In regards to your question, the FM Radio is great. Very sensitive and sounds good through the speaker. However, the biggest downfall is that you have to have the headphones plugged in to the USBExt port on the phone. They apparently hold the antenna. The app won't even start unless they are plugged in. This is a major limitation I hope someone finds a work around. Apparently there is a USBExt to 3.5mm jack adapter but I don't know if this will trick the FM Radio software into starting with out the supplied headphones.
Anyway, hope that helps.
JBW
Ahhh thats good to know ...even more tempted now
You dot happen to have any screenshots of the radio app in action at all do you?
Thanks
The Radio performance is quite good, one thing I really like is the ability to set the radio going on the channel you want, switch off the Artemis and carry on listening - certainly a power saving feature. If you need to look at a screen shot try see the image below, there are other features such as sleep timer etc, but this really isn't a purchase decision to be honest - Mike
Does it come with 2.5mm or 3.5mm or others for the audio?
Neither, see bwallis post above! the audio is routed through the mini USB OR A2DP Bluetooth, this works very well, but the radio still needs the earphones plugged in as they are the aerial - Mike

Thanks for your information. Can I use BT headset to enjoy the radio instead of the wired headphone?
I don't think so - I have tried the radio running with the device conected via A2DP to the cars system, the Artemis Radio plays through the wired headset while any other noise is routed over bluetooth through the car deck. Even if you managed to get the audio routed to a BT headset you will still need the wired phones plugged in to get the radio program to actually work - Mike
Yep.. if I'm not wrong, the software BlueCast can transfer ALL sounds (incl ones from your TomTom and Radio) through A2DP. But in order for the Radio to work, physically plugging in something into the miniUSB port is a must.
Anyways, does the package come with a mini-USB to 2.5mm jack? or is it 3.5mm? I'm currently using a 2.5mm cable with mic.. and was hoping to use back the same if I were to get this Artemis..
Thanks
FYI, the 3.5 to USB adapter does not work to allow FM radio with your own headphones. It pops an error that you need the headphones plugged in to use the radio. Until a hack is found, you must plug in the supplied headphones.
db
erm do you actually need the headphones to be plugged in, in order to get the RDS/TMC info traffic for GPS softs like Destinator6?
Don't think it does RDS/TMC
is there any register hack that will start de fm-radio program ??
Hi fellas.. Just realised from one of the reviews that the mini-USB connector is shaped differently than the standard symmetrical one. Are they compatible?
Thanks
I confirm ... They are compatible !!!

Hi there!
Anybody knows if the FM-radio has RDS support??
PK
RDS yes but only for the radio station name, nothing else is used - you get the station name when it is transmitted and your headphone leads can pick-up the data - Mike
Hi!
OK, does this mean that AF (alternative frequency) is not supported?

Does this require any special trick ? In my case I can't see any station names ? (I can see them on normal radio). I am using the standard headphone attached.
Hello all,
Thanks for the help you provide in this forum. I am wondering if bluetooth is working for you in the official WM6 rom? My Trinity does not want to recognize any bluetooth devices. I have three - my laptop, my glasses and my headphones. Non are pairing and it says it cannot find any bluetooth devices. In the WM5 rom, it was no problem. Can anyone help?
Best regards,
Gilbert
edit: sorry ignore me

I'm using with a jabra handsfree BT250v and there is no problem using it - works very well.
Plantronics Pulsar 590A , headset and wireless stereo working perfect.

Infact the WM6 is faster in detecting present of my iTech bluetooth headset.
I just wish they would have fixed their stack to work with Microsoft Voice Command on mono headsets! It always amazes me how Microsoft can take the few great ideas they have and f**k them up! Not that it's entirely their fault but you think they'd have had it working on the more popular devices, especially with those of the company they are always raving about!
any improvement with a2dp at all with wm6?

OS is moving faster with A2DP activated. I can listen mp3 over WiFi without sound drops.

Bluetooth connection is much faster and better than that of WM5.
No problem in connection to WMP via my Itech Bluetooth earphone.

I have an itech clip II how can I listen to WMP or Destinator navigation sounds through my BT?
Hmmm... Got different experiences, found that bluetooth on new official WM6 has some issues with my HT820 A2DP headset.
1. Every time to start the mp3 will skip first 2-3 seconds.
2. The connection will getting unstable after 30-40 minutes continue playing.
3. Randomly my HT820 will lost connection with my CHT9100, also in the Comm. Manager will showed Bluetooth "disabled", but the blue LED still blinking as usual. Tried to turn it off and on but no success, have to push the reset button to clear out the mass.
Hope this might make you feel better, you are not alone...

I am having the exact same issue with my S805's. Both made same time by moto, so similar setup I would say.

is there still a high cpu usage with a2dp playing? Is the os still usable for other functions?
The CPU usge for a2dp is still high with this WM6 Rom, but it does not drop at all. The usage is
I have Contacts(with 500 entries), Resco File Explorer 2007, calander, phone, and not forgotten the Core Player loaded with the ram down to 19Mb, there is still no drop in the audio. One exception is the touch screen, if you touch and and move with frequency then u will surely experience drop in audio. I am sure we Trinity or D810 user had known this issue since day.
the updated rom seems so far so good. All I have put on is trinity hacks and tomtom so far, so I wonder if it has to do with all the other junk or the update.
its called RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30.11_108_Ship.exe
Hello,
I tried many kind of WM6 and 6.1 ROMs and faced the same problem with different frequency rate: my bluetooth headsets disconnect very often (also during phone calls) and actually I don't have any idea what should be the problem.
The HW I have is: H200 with Logitech BT mobile pro and Plantronics voyager 510 (of course not together the latters).
I tried different radio versions and different roms: the only variance is the "well-work" period. If it lose the connection I have to set off/on the BT in connection manager. Does anybody have this problem or know the root cause/soution to fix? I really appreciate any kind of help/suggessions.
Thanks
I have the same problem as you... I tried WM5 and WM6 (Official Spanish ROMs) and no solution found. My hardware is H200 and Parrot CK3000Evo. I think may be a hardware problem. Any help please???

Don't think there's any easy answer. Often seems to be a combination of headset firmware and BT settings in your WM device.
There are good discussions of some of the problems and issues in this thread and this thread.
Other than that, you could try different firmware versions for your headsets - that solved my problem with a Jabra 8010 (till it just crapped out completely).
Alternate solution is to cut the crappy earphones off your standard USB headphone and solder on a 3.5mm stereo plug. I haven't quite got to that stage yet, but have come perilously close many times.

Do you think it refer to the A2DP problem? I don't want to use my HS to listen to music; otherwise these aren't A2DP compliant neither. I just want to use for phonecalls as it designed for.

I want to use for phonecalls too. I'm sure there is a bluetooth problem, perhaps a hardware problem. I have same problems using BT GPS...
I have the same issue with my Cardo headset and my BTGPS unit.
On a call and the headset cuts out and call diverts to handset.
BTGPS working fine then suddenly no connection to BTGPS.
Are any of you using MS Voice Command with BT Fix? My problems seem to have started right around the time I began using it. Before that I don't recall having any headset drops. Can not say the same about GPS as I've only had it a short time and have not un installed VC to test.
BTW. I'm using the stock WM6 update and radio for AT&T 8525 H100 hardware.

I'm not using voice command, and i probe it using clean official WM5 and WM6 ROM. Today I installed schaps WM6 ROM, but i have the same problem.
I have the same problem too. It will be ok for a few days, then wont be able to use BT (Plant 250). Then either I have reset the phone or turn off BT in phone and turn it back on, then it will work.
I believe it is a hardware issue, cuz I had a 8525 before, and never had this issue. But with the set I got now, its been a problem from day one.
I don't use voicecommand at all. The strange thing is that I use a Nokia BT GPS and it works fine always: no disconnection on long trips neither.

Yes, the HS is dropping but the GPS still working forward. Strange, but because of that I think it's not HW problem.

Sorry if I mislead you with the A2DP stuff. Didn't realise you were having issues with just the basic audio.
As I mentioned in the other post, though, there seems to be compatibility issues between the MS BT stack and some headsets. Changing ROMs probably won't help, because they still all use the same BT stack. Better to try playing round with the headset - see if you can change firmware in that, if possible.
I know there are some people trying to port the Widcomm BT stack to WM6, but I haven't heard of any real success yet.
