The Xda II and the Xda IIi uses ATi and Intel XScale graphics respectively.
May I know from BA owners what gfx cpu the Xda IIs is using please?
Thanks In Advance.
Hi

Thanks for the input Bro.
Appreciate it.
ATi GPU can be overclocked faster and much more stable than the Intel XScale one. I have owned the Xda II and the IIi. And I can tell you that IIi gfx sucks. Rendering is slow at 520MHz.
Xda II blazes even at 400MHz.
No worries dude
Oh, how can overclock the ATI GPU be overclocked in the BA? Ive done the CPU but how do i overclock the ATI?
Cheers
Jay

ATI has 2D and IDCT HW acceleration.
Universal versus Blue Angel
Now I am torn between getting a Xda Exec and a Xda IIs after getting rid off my Xda IIi.
Initially I was considering a brand new Exec and a used IIs.
But now I have changed my mind.
WM2005 does not really impress me at all.
But the Exec sure oozes functionalities.
Thinking of just getting a new Xda Exec or a new Xda IIs.
Any IIs and Exec users out there care to give input?
TIA.

Can anyone figure out the difference between XDA IIs(Blue Angel) and XDA IIi(Alpine)? What I am sure about is: CPU, 400/520MHz; Camera, 0.3/1.3MPixels. But some said that XDA IIi will not have the slide-out keypad and featuring a 96M ROM. So which of these is ture, or both, I wonder? And if anyone got the detailed specification and/or product shot of XDA IIi, please? What about its release date? I heard that should be around this christmas, but any idea of the actual date? Though I do not much care about the price, but if any details? Many thanks!

Hallo. Just simple question...
Does GPU in galaxy nexus SUX? (vs galaxy note or galaxy S2)
Or is it just in software ?
Thx
No

Plays Osmos HD like butter. I would have to agree, the gpu certainly DOES NOT SUX.
it r not teh sux
but it is using 20 months old GPU from nexus S isnt it ? i think its killing this super phone
New topic: OP's grammar; does it sux?

Beatiful game indeed. I'm a fan already.
Checked GPU performance vs the S2.
It is slightly worse than the S2, but that does not mean that
it is bad.
Still able to play heavy rendering games so I aint complaining.

Certainly not killing the phone at all. Just because it isn't the latest GPU on the market, doesn't mean it's not good at what it does.
The GNEX GPU is fine. I have yet to find a game that struggles to run.
thanks man. you cut stone from my heart
another beat the dead horse topic but i'll kick it again. i think google picked the best gpu for this phone for all the right reasons. i there are 2? better gpu's currently and soon if not already a 3rd? the ps vita is about to come out with sgx 543mp4, which has 4 cores, compared to the iphone4s/ipad2's 543mp2 of only 2 cores. look at how awesome the battery life is of the nexus compared to many many other androids and the iphone 4s. i think it has a lot to do with the whole package, including OMAP"s superb SOC, but the 543mp2 would've been overkill and a battery hog. heck the 543mp2 is overkill for the iphone.

I'm pretty sure it's just saying that it had both a single core CPU and a GPU. By that logic, the Galaxy Nexus would be a triple core phone...

This is a Galaxy Nexus forum, not a G1 forum.
And its simply referring to 1 core CPU and 1 core GPU put together.

that is our soc.
what i need are the following answers.
---How many gpus do we have so i can set the number of gpus in the kernel? The current value is limited at 16.
---Specs on the display. (factory specs)
---Does the s4 support multi-core scheduler's? (awesome if it did)
---Also I need someone to find the various address lines in menuconfig for all variants including the n4. We might be able to make a universal kernel using that information.
---Are we using the first or second dsp6 version.
These questions directly effect the kernel
What addresses do you want? We all including mako use the same kernel address, Ramdisk varies, modem I don't remember on the top of my head. I have sbl3 and lk at home. But I don't think you care about those (for the kernel).

When you say how many gpus do we have do you mean how many cores does the gpu have

So it is a quad core GPU then.
That more seems like its a quad core soc's GPU. 4 cores doesn't seem right

Yea, especially with a 64 core gpu showing up at CES for the tegra 4.
I bet it is 16, maybe more.

Well 16 seems low, it could be 16 but it would be nice if it was more and the kernel is holding back. That does happen

Well, my pals iPhone 5 smoked this phone in the gpu. I read an article that the new tegra is 64 core and it was a big deal. The tegra 3 was 12 from what I have found but a lot are only 4. I guess it is more the motion in the ocean than the size.
If I find out more I will let you know.
I found this too. http://www.reviewresults.in/reviewresults/post/2012/09/29/Tegra-3-vs-Adreno-320.aspx
It shows the Tegra 3 with 12 which I know is correct.

It's funny how everyone puts these phones against the iphone and I pad without realizing how much of a beast this gpu is. Apple has been forced to use 3 sgs543 gpus each with 4 sub cores on the iphone 5 to get the performance that this one gpu gets with four sub cores. Just like when nvidia says their gpu has 64 cores it's 64 sub cores on one gpu.
Part of the reason that iproducts benchmark so well is due to less products to support and common socs throughout. That way, they can easily optimize the os for each product.

Hey guys I have a S3 mini sm-g730w8 and it has an Adreno 305 and I know that the S4 mini also has the same gpu so I was wondering if you guys have a faster gpu and what your gpu governors are because I use my phone for gaming and I've seen videos of s4 minis playing games more smoothly than my s3 mini. And on Antutu I score about 4900 in 3d graphics where as you guys score about 5700. Could your extra 500mb of ram and 500mhz play a factor in that? Btw you can check your gpu speed and Governor using Trickster Mod. Thanks in advance

The S3 has Mali-400, not the Adreno afaik. Plus the SoC krait is totally different between the S3 mini vs S4 mini.

You're actually wrong, the carrier variants SM-G730W8 and SM-G730A both have the Adreno 305 and our SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8930 is very similar to your MSM8930AB in the S4 Mini. And btw I clearly stated I'm talking about the SM-G730W8 variant not the GT-I8190international variant in my first post so please understand that I wasn't talking about the version with the Mali-400 and the NovaThor SoC. So can anyone check in Trickster Mod what the S4 Mini has as the GPU governor and the max GPU frequency?
