ATI W3200 video chipset doesn't support 640x480.
i just installed o2 active from the 1.40 rom for BA onto my wm5.0 BA
this should display if anything in the correct format, but it displays in vga,
i tried to install the o2 active cab from the xda exec rom, but i had vga issues with that, but from the xda2s rom, i wouldnt have thought id have the same issues.
anyone know why this happened????, cos i sure xda 2s with 1.40 rom isnt in vga. :?

What do you mean ? Your hardware doesn't
(and never will) support vga.

what i mean is, i installed the o2 active taken from the new o2 uk 1.40 rom. this rom is for xda 2s blue angel. this rom isnt for a vga device so should not display vga software.
i installed the o2 active from 1.40 o2 uk to my xda 2s running wm5.0 and it displayed as vga.
i know it does not support it , but when displayed the graphics were way too big to be displayed properly.
i not sure how to explain that any different, do you know what i mean??
i just done a screen shot of what it looks like on my screen............
The graphics display that way because they are larger - they are indented for a display that is higher resolution.
Looks like you have tricked the OS into thinking you are running a VGA display when obviously you are not.

Ok. I get it. Then you can claim running the
virtual 1600x1200 too

i know that, but my point is, they shouldnt, because this o2 active cab was from the o2-uk 1.40 rom, which isnt vga. so it should not display vga for a none vga device.
i tried this with the cab from the xda exec and expected this from that given that it was a vga rom/device.

Is there a way i could have a VGA resolution on my HTC PROPHET (as a tweak i mean) thanks.
no, to do this you need a vga screen, which the prophet doesnt have.
so there is no possibility?

no it requires vga hardware. prophet doesnt have this.
so can you change the dpi or something to see more things but smaller?

no, qvga (96dpi what you are using) is the smallest dpi. vga has a higher dpi (192) but it aslso has a 4x bigger resolution so they look the same. the only way of making it look smaller is if you have a vga device and you use the 96dpi (qvga) files.
if i try to change LogicalPixelsY and LogicalPixelsX to something like 72 will i destroy my device?
you are basicaly asking if it is possible to make one single pixel to act like four different. i think it is the easiest way to explain it... according to the best of my knowledge and logics, it is not possible.

Good luck begging vijay to release this one..
I'd release it if it was worth releasing, but VGA screens don't seem popular enough right now to justify continuing development on the app, and it just looks silly on QVGA.
I'll give it a while until VGA screens become more common and then see if I can finish it off.

I would like to know if any one has try to load HTC TouchFLO™ app on there device ???. I should be getting the app later to day and can upload it for who ever to try it out. I would like some feed back
Of course !
I'd really like to test it on my Trinity ! Waiting for the upload
I can test it if you post it today.
Thanks i will do so , i understabd that the LCD is not the same bur i think it should still work
The LCD resolution is standard 320x240 pixels, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be compatible. There is a lot of chance this software runs on any PPC WM6
Is this the same app as posted here:

Or something different?

I believe that mUn pointed out in another thread that the drivers for the touch screen used were different.
If this is indeed the case (and I have no reason to disbelieve mUn) it may not work because of this reason. (that is, I believe what mUn said!).
Having said that - I would luuuurve to test this - it would br great to get this working on the Trinity.
yeah, mobile review says HTC uses a special touch screen driver optimised for fingers. Also, the trinity screen is set down, and not flush with the top of the device (like the touch) so reaching corners / sides will be difficult
Thanks, works fine with the Faman's french wm6 rom.
Good! But The plugin is slow or just the video?
(Sorry for my english )

not work on my p3600. Only black screen....why?
does this work on trinity then?
Yes,it works on mine but not 3D menu.
For my testing so far, it goes only with the ROM from LVSW v.2.0.1.1
with all the animation over one hardware button!!!
With the ROM from bepe WM6-GER there is only a black screen.....
Happy testing for all !!!!
Same here with the FANMAN 2.3.1 French ROM from LVSW WM6. The screen just GO black.
By the way I tested the new Alpha versio for touchFLO 3D:

Cheers.

In order to make it work on german or other Rom's you should rename the mui's from 0409 to 040* (I believe 0407 to be German, correct me if I am wrong).
That means renaming the files in the cab(s).
Best regards,
EqX
I don't know if it was the video or the phone, but WOW did that lag like crazy...If it's the phone (ie the app causing it) I'll pass thanks.

I went to their site here < http://www.vetasoft.net/index.php?index=12&language=en > and downloaded the trail version of 1.85. It doesn't support WVGA, there's a big black bar at the bottom of my screen. I couldn't find anywhere on the site saying WVGA is supported now so I'm not sure why the site you've posted says it does. It does say it's a new version for 2009 but that's it.

what is it??
Just a question, it is possible to develop a ROM that make Diamond work in QVGA mode? I know the diamond screen is natively a VGA (640x480) but if we could make diamond work in 320x240 resolution, there would be more memory and cpu available. A fair compromise IMO.
Is this possible?
what do you mean by by "if we could make diamond draw only half pixels"
running diamond with QVGA resolution???
if yes then look here

A I expected Sense 2.5 refuses to start in QVGA resolution using Virtual desktop. Anybody can tell me If there is someone who is actually developing a QVGA ROM for the diamond?
Thanks
i think this is a good idea, my brother has a qvga phone (HTC Polaris) with 54mb less ram and 128mhz slower processor speed but runs winmo 6.5.5 and touch flo really smoothely, but in someways i prefer the vga screen such as in opera and tomtom, it makes it much clearer

Is there any way to force QVGA resolution in WM6.1 tweaking the registry?
good idea. a fourth of the graphics means more available RAM and faster processing, right?
any chef up for the challenge of making a QVGA ROM for the Diamond possibly with M2D v2?

If some chef would consider this project, my Diamond is more than willing to be the first guinea pig!
I don't understand why anyone would want to do this. The Diamond's screen is already small enough as it is!
If you use a lower resolution Manila, you can only see a quarter of the screen, I think. CaptainThrowback have tested HVGA Sense and all was smaller. So not so usable

he means that if we make the phone draw 240 x 320 pixels on the screen rather than 480 x 640
ie running the phone at a virtual QVGA resolution
full screen will be occupied but phone will draw less pixels and hence some processor power and ram will be saved at the cost of screen clarity.
I don't think this is possible, and even if it were, it will still be using the same amount of processing power and it would be ugly and pixellated because the image will have to be stretched to occupy the entire screen.

instead i think that the display will be more pixelated but the ram and processor consumption will be lower...is possible there is a software that i saw in another thread like this
