I'am new to all this and was wondering if its worth updating my XDA IIs these are the settings
Rom Version 1.31.00 WWE
Rom date 12/13/04
Radio Version 1.06.00
protocol version 1337.38
ExRpm Version 1.31.139 WWE
Could anyone let me know if there are any benefits, also how easy is it to update, ie can anyone explain in basic terms as I have never done this sort of thing before, also if it all went wrong what would be the worst case senario.
Is there a simple program that does all updates?
Thanks in advance
Hi Popupstands
I upgraded mine a few weeks ago from the O2 ROM like yours to the config detailed below. Have found that this ROM is a bit more stable and has better control over wi fi switching than my old one. still have the same old bluetooth connection problems. You will also have to modify the below EXTENDED ROM to replace the caller ID file with an older version to avoid GPRS disconnect problems...
before you do anything, you should read ALL the INFO at following wiki link
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel
On a practical note, if you are reasonably happy with the stabilty of your device then the upgrade may not be worth it for you. I believe the official O2 rom update is imminent, so you may want to wait for that..
Hope that helps
Regards
Chris

here goes.....
Has anyone already upgraded?
Please let us know whether the ROM includes push email and/or stereo bluetooth.
[EDIT#] sorry didn't read your second link that the download click gives you the updated file....
Downloaded but don't think I can bring myself to downgrade to it, (same version as the German version from last year)?

Having just upgraded to the new imate ROM, I'm not sure what to do now. I have the mda-pro and am with T-Mobile, but going on the version numbers the T-Mobile ROM seems to be a downgrade.
Anyone trying the new ROM please share your experiences and advice.
Cheers,
Phil
Never mind...
I have downloaded the file and unpacked it, guess what :
All the files inside are from 2005, so we have an ancient ROM here. I hate t-MOBILE those guys are as usual with their heads up their bottoms.
If you have upgraded to the jasjar version do not under any circumstances upgrade to this version.
It does not contain AKU2 and as suspected is just the old German Tmobile version.
Just ran it on my mda pro....complete waste of time. Now need to re-upgrade to the Jasjar version.
Thanks.
This is the original t-mobile uk mda pro firmware not upgrad
See the comment and date
"This version is the first production release of the MDA Pro."
I check this link regularly for new files , originally the site claimed jan 06, but nothing yet.
Hoping and praying aku 2 and a2dp will be included hence the longer wait than other countries t-mobile isp's.

NO it is an update, mouse over the download, it's not a particularily new update, but it's much newer than the original ship rom from TMUK.
It's just that they haven't updated the text yet.
hanhha2000!
Thanx for the warning, and I am sorry you have to reflash your device
The Ext.ROM has a CAB file that says "TMo Streaming". Do you think its for A2DP?
Also, Asukal posted in another thread that this ROM does infact have A2DP and made screenshots to prove it. What do you guys think?
Can someone upload the Extended ROM to the FTP so we can try the Streaming cab file?
This is the file i am talking about:
Extended_ROM\TMO_Streaming_0729_Signed.CAB
hanhha2000!
If you did not reflash yourdevice with the JJ ROM can you let us all know what is the OS version on the "new" TMobile ROM

dunno about a2dp or how to go about finding out as i don't own a stereo headset...
FYI: windows mobile v5.0 OS 5.1.70 (Build 14409.1.1.2)
Rom version 1.20.32
Date 11/16/05
Radio 1.06.00
Protocol 42.40.p8
extrom 1.20.120
I have a hunch that the Streaming file mentioned above is the streaming media player that is on t-mo's rom.. looks like windows media player... and as yet i cant find a function for it.. It's only configured for rtsp:// files... whatever they are... may have been a idea to have a player that can pickup mms:// files .. eh... microsoft..
By the looks of things this is an old rom, the english version of the german rom released ages ago... I doubt it has any of the 'new' features.. but generally feels a lot more stable than the original shipped rom.
T-mo have updated there download page to reflect the new rom.. they even put a piccy of the mdapro up..
OS 5.1.70 (Build 14409.1.1.2) According to any source (like Microsoft mobile blog and Jason Landridge Blog) this version does not include neither AKU2 nor A2DP, so I am not sure what Asukal is showing us. Maybe it is something T-Mobile cooked on their own, a different BT stack ??

rtsp:// stands for Real Time Streaming Protocol
The advantage is that RTSP allows client to tell server to stop, play, pause etc. RTSP is a very popular broadcasting protocol for Real Player, for example.
Nice addition (if it works)!
hey guys
this is my first post here so i just wanna say how much information i have learned from this site and the forums. and i haved used the search function but after hours came up with nothing.
I have a MDA PRO Running the latest T-Mobile Rom, but its causing me so many problems.
It Takes forever to answer a call(around 10 secconds after ive pressed answer) it takes ages to open any applications. its just slow.
i was running the Imate rom before and was really happy with it. but there are some features that have come in the new t-moibile rom that i would like to keep such as the green battery icon and the "Soft Key" Application.
So i was thinking of only upgrading the extrom and the radio.
My current config is:
ROM VER : 1.30.114 WWE
Rom Date: 04/13/06
Radio : 1.10.03
Protocol Ver: 42.44.p8
EXT ROM VER : 1.30.232 WWE
I was looking to upgrade to either the QTEK or the IMATE rom b ut i wanted to know if ill still have the green abttery indicator and "soft Key" application as im not sure if they come with the rom or the OS. if not can anyone tell me where i can get them from plz.
Also alot of ppl are saying that radio 1.09 is the most stable, can anyone confirm this please.
Cheers guys
You will not get those features with the currently available Qtek or i-mate WWE.
I do however, have a suspicion (my spidey sense is tingling) that there will be new ROMs from within the next month and a half.
In the meantime, feel free to cook up your own.

I've had no issues with 1.09 radio
Hi,
Have been the owner of the M5000 for about 4 months and have a good relationship with it - well apart from being a little slow switching between portrait and landscape.
I dont have any issues with using it for PDA or phone calls.
But, looking at my device information:
Rom: 1.13.49 WWE
Radio: 1.03.0
ExtRom: 1.13.130 WWE
I think this is an old ROM.....
Have any of you upgraded from this ROM and noticed a big difference with your device? or is it best left as it is?
Sorry for a wishy washy question - but i dont want to potentially trash my device with upgrading if its not really worth it.
Thanks
Matt
hi,
i'm using 1.30.90 WWE rom and it's very stable but i saw that Orange has released a new Rom and Radio upgrade a few weeks back so i guess if you want to, just get those. I'ts meant to provide support for push e-mail. Just be sure that you have Bootloader 1.00 or above.
Ok, so I bought a Diamond yesterday, the P3700. Bought in Norway for £ 450, but the guy on the sales desk kinda messed up and gave me £ 210 discount
Anyway, I'm hoping to get an English language version of the ROM, but after downloading one I get the ERROR message that I've noticed a few other ppl have had that says something about the wrong vendor ID. The phone isn't locked and has the following details;
ROM-version: 1.37.409.3 NOR
ROM-date: 19th June 2008.
Radio Version: 1.00.25.03
Protocol Version: 52.26a.25.09H
Anyone any ideas? I would really appreciate any help on the matter.
Try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=409425 to see if that helps. And www.modmydiamond.info by racerx is a great source of information.
Well, I'm trying to fix this Diamond, but it doesn't want to play ball. Is my version too new? The phone is brand new, and I was wondering if there was a thread that has a how to for dummies like me for the P3700 Diamond. Like which Hard SPL do I need and which ROM? I'm guessing a WWE ROM is the one for an English version. To be honest all the version numbers are a bit confusing. I thought that I was quite good with computers etc, but this flashing etc. has me dumbfounded. You guys (programmers) must be geniuses!
Your ROM version is certainly NOT too new. If you follow the instructions in the thread that I mentioned in the previous post, you should not have any problems. And check out www.modmydiamond.info for all the info on the HARD-SPLs. And you should flash a 1.93 ROM instead of 1.37 as it is much fater and more stable. I prefer Dutty's V1.4 (or soon to be released V1.5). And I use Developer version (unsigned) Hard-SPL. You should also flash the 1.00.25.05 radio, and it seems to be more reliable and produce better reception.
Well, I just upgraded my phone to 1.93.409.1 NOR and 1.00.25.05 Radio. It was released last week by HTC. But, I'd still like to have an English version. It's late here 02:00, so I'm off to catch some zzz's. Many thanks for your help! I'll see if I can sort out the Hard SPL and the Dutty v1.5 fix later.
