Hi all
My O2 XDA Orbit has had this problem since I got before Christmas....At first it seemed to be the BatteryStatus/Overclocker thingymajiggy that was causing it, but a few weeks on the problem is still there, even after uninstalling the software and hard resetting the phone.
If my Orbit freezes for whatever reason, causing me to press the reset button, the unit will boot up seemingly ok, display the O2 boot screen, then the Windows mobile screen, but then when it should load the my info screen, just displays the windows bar at the top and very little else. It is possible to use the menus (but no ok/x button is present when you launch apps) and some functionality works, but not all.
In short, it's annoying, and I often have to just keep resetting and resetting until eventually it loads up as normal.
Has anyone encountered this and does anyone know a fix?

I bought XDA EXEC from O2 Ireland. Everything worked ok, but anyway I done upgrade of software.
After upgrading, the screen changed into weird coloured noise screen. And keep like this for half hour. I'v done hard reset, restored factory settings, after few second screen comes again with coloured noise screen. Another reset didnt change sittuation...
Im not advanced in pocketPC stuff, so please help

Hi everyone I've recently been given a O2 Orbit but when you turn on the phone a white screen comes on and coloured lines come on infront, I was just wondering if any of you fine people would know if it was the screen. Im new to this so any information would be greatfuly recieved.

is it the green/blue/red screen?
when in doubt, hard reset it. i think its the two soft keys being held and inserting the stylus into the reset hole
No it was ant the green/blue/red but have sorted it now just did a reinstall of the factory rom and its fine now thanks
Have seldom had any issues with my Orbit on WM6. However, today, after taking my SIM out to use in my Data Card, on powering up my Orbit, it freezes on boot.
It goes through to the point where the green Windows Mobile screen is displayed, but then displays the Volume sliders and freezes. I seem unable to get past that point - the pointer doesn't move and the Orbit will not switch off. Doing a 'poke the hole' reset just does the same thing; with or without the SIM, with or without the 2Gb Memory card.
Anyone help please? Can anyone tell me how to do a 'cold start' from the buttons?

Hi. I have exactly the same problem today. Is a cold re-start the only way to cure this? Or does anyone else have a work around that doesn't involve me losing everything....
p.s. Std ROM - but that may change if I have to cold-start!
I just got my new Note II and I have a crappy O2 Carrier Logo for Boot Up and Shut Down... How can I remove this?
