Anyboday upgrade the O2mini to WM 5.0?
I want to upgrade my O2mini. Any instruction for me?
i know of my mini 2005 upgrade
but one thing is very surden and that is that
the himalaya rom 2005 and all others dont work
on any other device then himalaya and the same goes
for roms from other devices
You mean the himalaya rom can be used on the O2 mini? However, most of the function doesn't work?
i mean no rom can be used for more then 1 type of device
so a himalaya ron cant be used on a mini
as of this time we got only for himalaya and typhoon...

jojo, it would be just as great n revolutionary if u can make it also for BA and Magician as well.

waiting for wm 5.0 cause i wanna upg from xda2 to xda2s or mini but
till there is no wm 5.0 on these devices will stick to my xda2.

I would like to downgrade my qtek 9100 device to WM 2003 because I use Linux (Ubuntu) and wm 5 doesn't work with Synce.
I have two question:
1/ Is it possible to downgrade the Qtek 9100 to wm 2003?

But the instrictions tell I have to download a wm2003 ROM here:

i'm pretty sure there never was a 2003 rom for 9100 / wizard devices
BA == blue angel == Qtek 9090
If you have a Qtek 9100, that's a Wizard, not a Blue Angel, and there's no WM 2003 rom to flash it.

Or install windows.
It makes a lot more sence than downgrading your device, even if you could.

Never, I guess. The device is too old for the manufacturer bother updating the software on it. To them is better if you buy a newer device.

Hi! I'm new on this forum, and SORRY for bumping an old thread, but I'm looking for help, and this thread has the topic I'm wondering about.
I have a HTC Qtek 9100 WM 5.0, and I have now tried to upgrade to WM 6.1 version 2.6 and 2.7 and WM 6.5, but NONE of them are working or giving me any upgrades at all! (the only upgrade i got was the "new" HTC-logo in 1-2 seconds before it turns back to the old logo from WM5.0)
The SPL is still 1.06 after the upgrading, and I'm not getting any error-messages at all on my computer or on my HTC, but something is defenitely wrong!

(PS: I don't need the WM6.5, but maybe the 6.1-version? any sugestions?)

Hi, I have xda orbit which I bought from o2 and is still on o2 running wm5 and following details when I reset the device:
IPL 1.25.0001
SPL 1.25.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.25.0.0
I would like to upgrade this to wm6 or wm6.1. Can someone advise me what I need to do to upgrade to wm6 or wm 6.1?

upgrade to wm6 is easy, bcoz O2 has provided that update, but not sure about wm6.1 coz it never came on O2 site(http://www.o2online.de/nw/assets/blobs/software/xdaorbit-windows-update.exe). I am not saying its not possible but the will be some trick involved to do so.... CID unlocking.... blah blah...
I have done the wm6.0 update but now looking for wm6.1.
Why dont you update to wm 6.5, its just as fast as 6.0 and the last cooked rom from shady has more then 30 ram free. In WM5 (1,5 years ago for me) my free ram memory wasnt that high!
How do we go with that do you have any idea. i have Xda Ordit (NOT Xda Orbit 2)
Could you please guide us (new comers) how to go about without getting into trouble (bricking).
What all tools or s/w do i need for this. Just to let you know its once been upgraded that too with the one provided by O2 itself.

aha, thats no easy answer yes.
Well the waranty will be gone yes, since its not a official rom.
But chance of bricking is small.
Better read here on the fora and first learn a bit more about this, read the posts of some threads in the windows mobile 6 section.
