I would like to downgrade my qtek 9100 device to WM 2003 because I use Linux (Ubuntu) and wm 5 doesn't work with Synce.
I have two question:
1/ Is it possible to downgrade the Qtek 9100 to wm 2003?
2/ I found by this forum this page: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Downgrade_WM5
But the instrictions tell I have to download a wm2003 ROM here:

I don't know what is the correct ROM for my device.

i'm pretty sure there never was a 2003 rom for 9100 / wizard devices
BA == blue angel == Qtek 9090
If you have a Qtek 9100, that's a Wizard, not a Blue Angel, and there's no WM 2003 rom to flash it.

Or install windows.
It makes a lot more sence than downgrading your device, even if you could.

there is not any official WM6 nor 6.1 stable/official version available directly from HP. only wm5, and this original version is nothing interresting, tunned versions of WM5 is more stable, much faster and better. if you want WM6 in your devices (I have exact the same as you, 2790 and 4700) you must find it by yourself. right now I am using for 2790b 4PDA last version and for 4700 wm6 by kozhura. try to search this forum a bit for more infos.

I red a lot of articles and posts here but I cannot find what is the exact procedure to upgrade my HP iPaq HX2750 which is running now WM 2003 SE to the current WM6. I red a posts to update it from WM5 to WM6 but no information how to do it from Windows mobile 2003 SE.
Can someone help me with the procedure if it is possible?
I downloaded the following files from the forum but in some posts I red there are additional steps first to upgrade the device to WM5 than to WM6?

Just download LINK and install my WM6.5 - if You have a hx2750, no need for specific procedure
Hellow Guys. I have bought a Hp hx 2400 PDA with Windows Mobile 5. The problem is that WM5 is in Spanish Language! Is there any solution to change or Reinstall WM5 To English Language. ?? Or there is an Upgrade to WM6?? I am new in this are of PDA! If u will Sugest me wm6 upgrade i need to be sure like everyguy i guess that it's going to work. Thanks!!

Hi! I'm new on this forum, and SORRY for bumping an old thread, but I'm looking for help, and this thread has the topic I'm wondering about.
I have a HTC Qtek 9100 WM 5.0, and I have now tried to upgrade to WM 6.1 version 2.6 and 2.7 and WM 6.5, but NONE of them are working or giving me any upgrades at all! (the only upgrade i got was the "new" HTC-logo in 1-2 seconds before it turns back to the old logo from WM5.0)
The SPL is still 1.06 after the upgrading, and I'm not getting any error-messages at all on my computer or on my HTC, but something is defenitely wrong!

(PS: I don't need the WM6.5, but maybe the 6.1-version? any sugestions?)
