Windows Media 10 Mobile is great with Media Center 2005! - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Did you know it syncs your recorded TV onto your BlueAngel?! All from within Media Center using the remote.
I'm one happy man.
Q.

Can you get the Synced TV to play landscape full screen, I could never get it to work, it would squash it up abit. Please let me know.

Works fine for me ... fullscreen mode AOK.

need link to download
hello guys
I need to download Media player for my BA can you give me the link or the thread from where I can get it
I am useing a windows 2003se
will I need to upgrade to use media player 10 ?

if u want to play large avi files, then use betaplayer instead. controls are good (forward / rewind etc) and it resumes the movie/video from where u closed last time.

WMP 10 Mobile is also fantastic with "Napster To Go"! I now have 60+ Albums on the IIs, just need to find some better quality headphones with a 2.5mm jack.
Any recommendations would be good!

Porkspeare,
The headphones for the XDA, XDAII and the XDAIIs are all propriatory and are none standard. If you plug in any other headphones they wont work so I afraid we're stuck with the ones supplied.

Not true. All you need is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter, and you can use any standard headphones you like. If you find the right adapter you can even still use the internal mic of the XDA to talk when you receive a call.

I hope other headphones do work, as I have broken the ones that came with it.
I am going for a demonstration of EarSet 1 & Earphones over the weekend. So I really need to know if the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapters work.

i'm selling xda2s original xda2s headphones on ebay

Well I've been using a pair of Sony buds for the past year and they work perfectly. I got my adapter from eBay, but you should be able to find one without too much trouble.

Cheers grayhaze I'll have a shop around this weekend.

Sorry, but other headphones will not work 100%...
If you want to use the headphones for Phone usage for example, then forget it...
The plug on the original ones has a proprietary connector to allow the answer/hang-up buttons work, so other headphones will allow the sound to go through, but not the green/red phone buttons.

I bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack at the weekend and have now found that it doesn't work. So now I need some direction is there any particular 2.5>3.5 jack i need to get?

I run windows xp media center edition on my laptop. I had to run SSADUninstall.exe and reboot. I then uninstalled media player 10. Downloaded the rollup 2 package from microsoft and installed (took 10 minutes). Rebooted and downloaded the v11 media player. Plugged my captivate in to usb and chose media player. Media Player 11 then sync'd to my phone and it is awesome! Don't need kies (which I recently updated and was told it no longer supports my device). Uninstalled kies. Installed the drivers (drivers folder). All device drivers now work including MTP.

Audio over Bluetooth question

Hi all, I can’t seem to find a straight answer on this forum about how to connect my SX66 (WM6.1) to my Windows XP PC over Bluetooth so I can listen to my mp3s or internet radio on my HIFI system that’s connected to my PC?
I am using a Bluetooth USB stick and I have them both paired using the BT software the came with Windows XP.
I had tried BlueSoleil software in the past to listen to my music but I didn’t find it practical because it keeps disconnecting and I would need to pair them again.
I am running ROM version: 6.141 WWE, RADIO version: 1.02.10 and ExtROM version: BLACK KERNEL
Thanks
first of all let's make sure i got the question right:
you want to stream audio from your sx66 to your pc, right?
well that is no problem in general, since the sx66 is known to have better BT quality than most of the other BA models (further range, higher tx rate).
since windows xp does not come with a proper usable bluetooth client (unlike vista) i woul generally recommend bluesoleil, because it can be a handy tool, once you got all the settings right. plus you don't need extra drivers, since most of the BT chip manufacturers work with bluesoleil.
then all you have to do is pair your device with your pc and once that's done, set bluesoleil to allow the device to do all further things in all areas without further confirmation.
then you need to make sure you have the a2dpfix on your sx66, which is needed for stereo bt stream.
then, when paired, start wmp and play music, and look in the mixer on your pc, if a signal comes in, and what channel and turn it up / activate it for audio input.
(let me repeat that all this is so much easier in vista, and for every step i made the other day i have to think of 5 ones which are necessary to do the same on xp)
then your stream should work as long as you don't close wmp, if you do so and then want to continue playing, you need to connect to your pc in your BA's bluetooth app again, but need no settings on the px anymore which i guess is a relief.
back to the basics: if you really want to do that, you can do it now, but still i can't think of a reason why anyone should do that, i suppose the mp3s your playing come from your pc and you could play them there anyway, your pc can probably also play internet radio.
if that is a "i turn the screen off and control the music with my mobile!" thing, i can give you another freeware, with which you can control winamp, whenever you are connected via activesync, no matter if you are doing that via cable, cradle, BT or wi-fi.
i just gotta look it up, i don't have it right now either but it is great!
e.g. i want to control my music while playing, but with full screen games and without media keys on the pc's keyboard i need an external winamp control to (plus it also provides jump to and other things media keyboards can't do).
EDIT: i could not find the program i had to control winamp from my device, but it was a bit older, even worked with wm2003se, but i did find, that people do like to control their pc players from mobiles, therefore, a thread was made, to be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294524
greetings Chef_Tony
P.S. please re-post, if it worked and if that is what you actually asked.
Thanks
Thank you for the quick reply; Yes you understood correctly.
It seems that BlueSoleil is the only solution for what I want to do, so I reinstalled (version: 6.4.245.0) again with the A2DPFix.CAB and it’s working for now.
Do you know where I can find a cab file to install on my BA to enable the rest of BlueSoleil services (Bluetooth phonebook….)? BlueSoleil is asking me to install “symbian\IVT-wm(1.0.2).CAB” on my device, but it doesn’t work and the only file I can find on this forum is the “bluesoleil_r2.arm_163.zip” for magician.
actually, for other services, like dialing, phoebook, sms and stuff i would suggest pairig the device, and setting up activesync via bluetooth, your phonebook is to be found in outlook then and for writing sms and completely controlling your device i would suggest MyMobiler, which is a freeware remote program which gets the BA's screen on the pc and you can control the device via the pc's keyboard and mouse. i also use that for making screenshots of new roms and stuff, it's free and works with activesync, so cradled, BT, wi-fi doesn't matter. that of course, doesn't 100% satisfy your question, i guess. i'm in a bit of a hurry right now, but be sure to check in this thread later, because i will edit, as soon as i found something that really brings you the services.
Thanks for the info. MyMobiler works great
By the way I uninstalled the A2DPFix because the sound was choppy.
Good evening,
Well MyMobiler is not working everytime on my device and i'd appreciate to find bluesoleil CE if it allows you to send sms from PC without having to link it anytime.
Have a nice evening.

Using Tilt 2 with a Bluetooth dongle

Hey all -
First post. I've searched all over and can't find a solution for this.
What I want to do is use a Bluetooth dongle to connect to my Tilt 2 (accomplished) so that I can listen to whatever audio is coming out of my sound card on my desktop have it transmitted to my phone, which I have headphones for.
It'd be a nice substitute for PC headphones, and would allow me to walk around the house without being wired to the desktop. If I missed a relevant post to this issue, please point me to it, because I looked all over and couldn't find anything.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
If this is not possible and I'm asking for something that can't be done, please let me know.
I'm using Tilt 2 with a stock rom and an ISSCBTA (it says ISSC-5) dongle with windows XP sp3, if that helps at all.
As of right now, I've managed to open a few services like file sharing and serial port service. There is two audio options, but I can't access them.
I thought maybe the problem was the Bluetooth program I'm using on my Tilt 2, which is whatever comes with the stock rom.
Any which way I can figure out how to use my phone as a wireless headset for my computer is fine with me. Thanks in advance.
A dongle like that (I have a Jabra) is supposed to go to an audio out and pair to a device that accepts audio in. I believe the Tilt 2 BT audio profiles are only setup to send stereo audio out to another device and not to receive audio in. I'm pretty sure you can only use the BT on the phone going both ways for data transfer and not audio transfer.

[Q] Bluetooth Car Stereo

For now, I'm just looking for recommendations on what bluetooth head unit works good. I'm going to go shopping this weekend.
But feel free to post your happy/unhappy stories/reviews about bluetooth head units with the Captivate.
Thanks.
FWIW Only slightly related: my Ghetto setup with the MOTOROKR T505 worked good with Captivate, fast handshake as long as bluetooth left on all the time with both devices. But I now have decided I need native integration into an aftermarket stereo.
I have an older Pioneer and the A2DP works great for streaming music, system sounds, navigation, etcs.
Calling on the telephone works great, no issues here.
There are two single DIN units out for this year:

I have last years model of the P6200BT

I'm going to try mine on my Sony BT2500 and I'll post back the results when I get a chance.
This is what I am using, and I get full features from mine.
Music controls on handset or deck both work (and remote).
Caller ID/Missed Call/Call log scrollable menu on deck screen.
BT phone audio through speakers with included in car mic.
Full audio volume control.
Charging from USB port (with regular USB cable, some companies like Alpine you need their specific cable) and thumb drive play capability.
3.5 aux jack

FH-P8000BT; Voice Dial
Has someone tried the Pioneer FH-P8000BT? I uderstand it's a nice option but don't know if it works ok with Galaxy S's.
Also, is any of the head units mentioned above able to dial by voice? Is it functional?
Thanks all who responded. That's good to know there's a few good options.
happy shopping to me!
I have mine paired to my Kenwood kdc-x993. Contacts automactically downloads to the radio and you can store 7 contacts for speed dialing. Supports a2dp, voice recognition dialing and SMS (haven't test that yet).
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I have had the Pioneer FH-P8000BT for a year or so. I am transitioning from a Zune, and have found the BT audio to be good on the Captivate, and the utit itself matches the phone perfectly. I haven't played with calling too much, but it worked fine on a couple of WM phones that i used. It has a USB out in the back, but I have not yet tried plugging it in with a micro USB (I'm waiting for a right angle micro-USB cable so that its a little more low-pro).

[Q] Bluetooth Headset

Hello,
I've got a problem: I recently bought a htc magician (used) and I always was using a bluetooth headset (hama, mono) for listening to music. Now, I was going to try it with the new htc magician but - it didn't work.
I must say I tried nearly everything. When I look for it with bluetooth, enter the authentification code for pairing, it works. Then WM asks me whether to use the device as headset - no problem until here.
But when I open up the "Audio"-Tab in the bluetooth settings, the headset is not in the list - I cannot listen to music.
I already tried using BTAudio. I hear the normal operating sound, but no music, no rings, nothing at all. It is all by the device itself, which is particularly.... bad in the subway or somewhere else in public places.
Now, until this point, I really thought that microsoft WAS able to build a system that works, which I see not confirmed right now.
I must say that I have an IQ of more than 130, and I build programs since I am 5 years old, but somehow, this is something you need to be god himself - or bill gates. Shouldn't have bought one of these.
What can I do to listen to music, finally (I could actually buy an mp3 player for 40 Bucks, but I would like to listen on my bike too, which is rather... unpracticable when having a cable almost strangling you).
Well, so I need your help.
I will NOT:
1. Change anything at the ROM of my device
2. Buy a new HTC
3. Change my opinion about Windows
4. Pay attention to ANY COMMENTS ABOUT MY NICK!
Thank you in advance

Bluetooth and Galaxy Nexus

Hi guys, question. My Nexus plays music through my aftermarket stereo fine through bluetooth but my annoyance is that the info doesn't show up. ie artist name, songs etc. While my ipod shows it all. I've read that it's just bluetooth firmware on the stereo/iphone/android but it's still such a pain in the a** that Iphone has the benefits while Android being better doesn't get as much. =( My question is do any bluetooth guru's out there know of a workaround or way to have info show up. My next step is trying different players etc.
The data needs to be sent by the application playing the music. I've found that Apollo will send this data to the screen on my 2012 Civic, the stock player does not.
I think certain ROMs have the latest bluetooth firmware. I think CM9 does? Not positive. I would also like to know if there was some way to update the firmware, on any ROM.

My GN wont connect for Bluetooth Audio (A2DP bluetooth receiver plugged into car ipod dock) - I have tried and tried, different roms, etc, no luck - my 3 year old Droid X works just fine, but my 8 month old Nexus wont connect - WTF. I enter password, get error that unable to pair.
My phone pairs to the car bluetooth phone no problem, but will not pair to audio.
Any suggestions???
Thanks!
